there's some lightning included in that. that's going to progress off to the east and southeast. . river view is is going to get clipped. things will be pretty quiet. and as we look closer to the north, you can see moving out of doylestown, even pottstown, we're looking at showers. you can see this whole area of rain moving off to the north and the east. it's being driven by this area of low pressure. we talked about it for a couple days. you can see the lightning strikes associated with it. so there's still some lightning out there. even if there's going to be a break in the rain until this is all gone, if you have the kids running back and forth between the naub's house, make sure to warn them. the temperatures are going to be

all new at 5:00, courthouse confrontation. calling on him to resign. . happened late this afternoon as he let a court hearing about his lawyer quitting his case. >> it's been one week since philadelphia's top prosecutor was indicted on bribe and corruption charges. >> today his lawyer is fighting to leave his case alleging that williams can't pay him. mitch blocker has been questioning williams about his conduct for months now. >> reporter: the latest development step stem from how

he handles his finances. >> like the indictment, this appears to be mostly about the money. just two hours ago, williams' lawyer publicly and in court told the judge that he no longer wants to be on this case. he says that williams will not be able to pay him. this is the first time we have seen seth williams in almost a week. e he hasn't been in the office since being indicted. he's refused to resign despite calls for him to step down. now his lawyer is skl to resign from the case. . he wrote the judge, mr. williams does not have the financial ability to e retain him for trial. he wrote as long as mr. williams is the sitting district attorney there exists a conflict. he said he represents dozens of criminal defts face iing chargey the d.a. office, but the federal

judge didn't buy it. he's ordered him to stay on until williams can replace him. williams makes $175,000 a year, but has a a well documented trail of financial troubles. he's blame d his divorce and alimony payments. he owes the board of ethics $62,000 for failing to report years of gifts. . the federal indictment points to his taste for finer things. williams denies he's done anything wrong. >> why haven't you resigned? >> reporter: as he left federal court, protesters shouted and promised to hound hum until he resigns. his lawyer for now also says the d.a. is innocent but likely won't be fighting for him when it counts. >> while williams says that he cannot afford diamond's fees, he has another lawyer lined up.

found during an arrest in wilmington. that is 1500 bags of heroin, a loaded gun and cash. drug enforcement agents had been watching an apartment on town state drive. the 34-year-old was arrested at the home. they both face a slew of charges. hearings are underway for philadelphia city council and the mayor's 2018 budget. several city departments testified before council today. officers were asked to talk about the potential impact of losing federal or state funding. the council is president attributed that to the turbulent environment in washington. there's new help for people needing home repairs. the repair program launched today. the state is putting $600,000 into it. the program helps eligible homeowners fix urgent health or safety issues. university hospital will close its heart transplant program in late may. the hospital spokesman says it's

today those who served our country got a chance to find a new job. this is a look at the hiring our heroes job fair. it was at the wells fargo center. the program is a nationwide initiative to help veterans and military spouses find work they are passionate about. toyota and the philadelphia flyers work with hiring our heroes to put on the malcolm jenkins is making a push to improve police and minority relations. jenkins and a group of other nfl players visited washington to. pitch lawmakers about ways to improve relations between minorities and local police. the group is asking for lawmakers to come up with effective criminal justice restroom. it was jenkins second trip to d.c. in the last five months.

thing. that's what we're looking at coming out of delaware and headed towards the jersey shore. the beaches from atlantic city all the way back, we're looking at just some light scattered showers. that's what you're going to be dealing with. some brief showers moving through. in philly, towards cherryhill, we are look at some very light rain showers moving through. and then back into the lehigh valley, from alan town, we are locking at the same thing. some light showers. these will come to an end as this entire system pushes off to the east. it does have a little lightning with it, but the whole thing will clear out of here. by the time you wake up tomorrow morning, you'll be looking at sunshine. i'll prove it to you. this is our futurecast. take a about 53 in philly. we're going to be dropping as the evening progresses on. by 1:30 in the morning, we're not going to be looking at any rain across the area.

we are learning more about a teacher who say planned to attack her high school with a gun and bombs. that teen police say was years old and had a shotgun and ammunition at her home. the high school senior stockpiled fireworks, pipes, shrapnel and fuses to make pipe bombs. . she had been compiling notes on she handled emergency drills. the plan she worked on would never play out thanks to her parents. her father found her diary. they may have prevented a sandy hook style attack. whether this is something all parents need to be doing. >> reporter: the sheriff has no doubt that nicole would have carried out a deadly attack next wednesday if her father hadn't read her diary and notified school officials.

student who was blocks away. >> reporter: there's a the lo of o student housing around here and they are not able to get back into their homes because of the police activity opinion ab elementary school has been placed on lockdown a block over. this has been going on for two hours. there was a shooting here. 17-year-old boy who was shot in critical condition at temple university hospital. police chased two people down the street. one of those men was barricaded in a small apartment a block away. listen to what he had to say. >> i just heard five gunshots from that direction. i look back and didn't see much. i didn't know what it was. i just kind of looked back and walked past my house. >> the s.w.a.t. team has been busy
