revenge over a stolen gold chain. if you take a look at this video we shot not too long ago, the 23-year-old emerged from court just within the last hour. e he testified that he and his ex-girlfriend would regularly buy drugs from the suspect maurice green. e he also testified he was supposed to be working a at husband grandmother's corner store the morning of the murder, but had had had overslept. they stole a gold chain from the system and pawn ed it for drug must be in may of last year and green had beaten up the ex-girlfriend in e retaliation. also in court we learned that the victim suffered more than half a dozen gunshot wounds after the gunman dressed in black wearing a hood opened the door to her store and started firing. >> she suffered because the first couple shots would have never killed her. and that image of her laying on the floor was horrific.

and i want justice for her. >> in addition to the victim's daughter, plenty of family and friends in support of the grandson who testified, as u mentioned. also in court prosecutors showed surveillance video that they say is the suspect in the neighborhood the day of the shooting. it's going to be up to the judge to determine if the prosecutor put forth enough evidence for this to move forward to trial. we will stay on top of it. reporting live, i'm rosemary connors, nbc 10 news. the governor met with president trump to talk about their commissioned fight against the opioid crisis. lauren maik has more. >> this is an issue that chris christie has given a lot of attention to in new jersey as governor and on the campaign

human services and how that could impact the opioid crisis. this afternoon a judge sentenced two former aids to christie to jail tr their roles in the bridgegate scandal. we are following the story tr our breaking news center. >> they tried to convince a judge to spare them prison time for creating traffic jams as political payback. he was handed a two-year prison sentence. a a short time later he was sentenced to 18 months behind bars. a prosecution witness who pled guilty in the case testified they intentionally created a major traffic jam to punish a mayor do did not endorse husband bid for reelection. the pair shut down several toll lanes at the bridge in september of 2013 leading to all these problems. >> the fight is far tr over. i will not allow myself to be

breaking news. a covered bridge in cherry hill that was damaged when a truck became stuck underneath it is now back open. nbc 10 is live in sky force 10. this created a nightmare when this happened. >> you called it breaking news. it's fixing news if you think about it. this bridge that was shut down a couple days ago where wh a tractor-trailer went over it. it got stuck on this bridge. it had to deflate the tires to get the truck out. we were told at the time it was going to take a couple weeks to get the bridge back open. as you pull out a little wider, it's a wooded area but the road is pretty important to a lot of people that live in the area. they kind of go through that area to cut through the woods. so you wouldn't think you need a small back row with a covered
