good morning. hope the weekend was good to you. louisiana is reeling after a powerful thunderstorm system tore through the state. it sent bolts of lightning streaking across the skies and dumped large hail on to residents. also brought deadly and destructive tornadoes. at least ten have been reported. one killed at least two people. a 38-year-old woman and her 3-year-old daughter died when the tornado flipped over their trailer. the girl's father is devastated by his loss. >> i can't -- i can't -- it's something i can't -- i love everything. everything. i lost my family. >> the stormss wiout power afte tearing down frees and power lines. -- trees and power lines. forecasters expect it to sweep east hitting georgia, florida, and both nbc meteorologist bill karins will have more coming up. >> that's an incredibly sad story. more tough news. the death toll continuing to

reports and the tornadoes that were mostly in louisiana, big scare for alexandria. then they had a tornado emergency at one point. now the threat has shifted. we're not seeing so many tornadoes anymore, but the rainfall. three to six inches widespread through central mississippi, louisiana, and the heavy rain is over baton rouge. flooding a big issue. throughout the day, additional strong storms. those storms will push toward areas of the panhandle of florida, southern alabama, and central georgia. we could have isolated tornadoes. we were in a moderate risk. they did downgrade it to an enhanced risk. it means a huge area of 20 million people with expectations today of severe weather. that's the big weather story of the day. here's a closer look at your day ahead. good morning, i'm meteorologist bill henley. a nice day ahead. a cool start this morning. right now 39 in allentown. 47 in wilmington. philadelphia's 46. we'll see sunshine, clouds, and staying dry and heading into the 60s. >> thank you. here's what we're working on for "nbc10 news today" --
