getting out and about on main street. take a look at some of the video we got. just an hour ago as people were roaming around outside. people were getting? a little exercise. some of them were riding bikes along the main drag. others were taking in the nice weather as a chance to walk their dogs or grab a bite to one of the restaurants that's already open. and some students also on spring break we saw a lot of paem fas enjoying the sunshine too. conditions have been perfect. yesterday, today again. the record is 84 degrees. so far today, we have hit 81. i expect that may bump up. a few more e degrees. they have broken the record. we are close in areas like wilmington. so back out here on main street,

we have people that are roaming up and down the streets already. we're going to talk to folks coming up in the 5:00 p.m. hour. >> waving become to the family enjoying their meal out there. >> they are having a good time. >> with these rising temperatures, we can tell you that some businesses are having trouble keeping cool. that's because of a series of air conditioner thefts. it's live with that story. >> warm weather like this, the air-conditioning would normally be on at this museum. you can see two of the ac units are now missing and the lines cut on a third.

inside, worries are growing about history being put at risk. now unable to control the climate for its museum. >> it's vital to our existence. >> home to the organization's collection of artwork, documents and art facts. >> anything organic is subject to stress because of the rising temperature. >> as temperatures started to spike, someone stole two air-conditioning units and apparently tried to swipe a third outside the museum in downtown around 11:00 monday morning. >> it was quite a shock. we couldn't believe it happened. the building was closed at the time of the theft. police trying to figure out if there's a a link to a rash of ac units being stolen from area businesses in the past couple months. so far, no arrests. >> we have to raise must be

seen in that video. erin coleman is live with a look at today's developments. >> the video continues to be the talk around the country. united c can eo is apologizing for the treatment of that passenger that you see in the video. that's david dow being ripped it from his seat after refusing to give up that seat on an overbooked flight in chicago on sunday. the officers then dragged the bloodied doctor down the aisle. in today's apology, united c, o says, quote, no one should ever be mistreated this way. it is working to make it right. now they apologized but there was a public statement on monday. he also wrote a letter to airline employees. while i deeply regret the

situation, i also stand behind all of you can, and i want to commend you for continuing to go above and beyond to ep sure we fly right. that was on monday. today we talked to passengers at philadelphia international about flying united. >> why would i pay them to fly me if they are going to treat people that way. >> i'm not afraid of that happening. >> we also learned that the doctor was convicted more than a deck kaud ago of felony charges of prescribing of drugs. the security officer has been placed him on leave. cydney long spoke with a local attorney about whether the passenger can now take legal action against united. we're going to hear from it him at 5:00. erin coleman, nbc 10 news. u.s. secretary of state rex tillerson is in russia after tensions escalate. >> tillerson is the first

administration official to visit russia. the trip comes days after an airstrike in syria that the russians called an act of aggression. russia has backed syria's president in the long running civil war. its foreign ministry said it hopes for productive talks with secretary of state tillerson. russia announced today the syrian government is willing to let international experts examine the base for signs of chemical weapons. the u.s. hit the base with more than 50 missiles last week. the base has been linked to a chemical weapons attack that killed dozens of civilians days earlier. russia's president today said his country will appeal to the united nations to investigate the attack. state representative cruz says heroin addicts are being lured from puerto rico. once here they are used to collect welfare benefits.

puerto rican senator testified at today's hearing. new details on the deadly elementary school shooting in california. en within the past few hours, we learned more about the couple at the center is of the shooting. >> police say the shooter on monday's attack had been arrested four times over 20 years. he walked into his estranged wife's classroom and opened fire killing her and an 8-year-old student. he then killed himself. . his wife was a special education teacher a at the school in san bernardino. people close to her say she mentioned that her husband threatened her when she moved out in march after three years of mairge. authorities say the school followed all procedures when her husband showed up at the school on monday.

>> no indication the prn wassage nated. jurors in the eric frein murder trial are watching a videotaped interview frein gave to police the night he was captured. prosecutors played the three-hour tape for the jury today and on that tape police asked frein to give closure to the family of brian dixon. he said, i did this. no one else did. he's akuzed of killing corporal duction son in an ambush outside their barracks in pikes county three years ago. authorities captured frein seven weeks later. lawyers are present iing closing arguments in the trial of three teens accused in the death of a a high school student. amy joiner francis died in wilmington last april.

u.s. attorney general jeff sessions is in arizona talking about border security. he toured the u.s. border with mexico. the area was once the buzziest for illegal border crossings and drug smuggling in the country. sessions head immigration enforcement a key priority. president trump met with a group of 20ceos. among them were the heads of general motors and walmart. they are among the president's strategic and policy forums. it's a group of business leaders trump has gathered to advise him on economic matters. tonight the people of quaker town will have the chance to sound off on a plan to close milford middle school. the school district is holding a a public meet iing on that plan. he wants to close milford at the ejd of the school year because of a growing deficit. the district is also considering closing an elementary school in two years. new details about last week's attack in swede b. the man suspected of ramming that truck into a crowd killing

four people admitted his guilt. the suspect pled guilty just before a hearing on whether to keep can him in jail. he was denied asylum in sweden and expressed sympathies with groups include iing isis. but he was not viewed as a threat. authorities are still working to determine if he acted alone. now to the escalating situation in north korea. that country promised a response if the united states takes action after upping its military presence in that region. the u.s. moved an aircraft carrier to the waters off the korean peninsula after they carried out long range missile tests. president trump is making clear he hopes china will pressure its neighbor and ally to stop its nuclear program. trump tweeted tuesday i explained to the president of china that a trade deal with the u.s. will be far better for them if they solve the north korean problem. in a second tweet, he wrote

north korea is looking for trouble if china decides to help, that would be great. if not, we will solve the problem without them. usa. police are responding to a stabbing. >> reporter: we are told the stabbing didn't happen here at the fire station, but a car with the stabbing victim pulled up to the fire station. you can see the fire truck there in the background as well as a number of emergency personnel on scene. we were told one person stabbed in a car nearby. that car then droe up to the fire department for help. that is what you are seeing now. three minutes ago, we saw the ambulance with the victim leaving the scene as crews continue to investigate we're told no arrests at this time, but this is happening right now in sharon hill. one person stabbed in a car going to the fire station for helps and crews are responding

a pair of 85. 86 degrees as we head further off to the north. it is 82 in bed minister. so very comfortable out there. and exceeding where we should be this time of year by a good 22 or 23 degrees. this is the trend we have been on. 51 last friday. 60 on saturday. 69 on sunday. so far today, 81. we'll tack on another degree or two. we're going in it the right direction, but this is about to turn around and head south. the radar being sweeping around the radar not showing us anything. it's all clear out there. we have clouds that are on the move. this is the storm system we showed you yesterday that brought severe weather. it is headed in our direction,

but you notice this line of showers is falling apart. it's not going to have a will the of oomp. the forecast models have struggle d with this. overnight we have stayed warm. a spotty shower come through tomorrow morning. at this point the models are saying this falls apart. i would be prepared that you could see an isolated shower out there. tomorrow afternoon, it will be anywhere from the mid-60s in mount pocono to the low 70s in philly. thursday the temperatures will drop into the 60s. same thing happens for us on friday. . lo lots sunshine. tonight we're going to be looking again maybe an isolated shower north and west of the metro area. anywhere in the mid-50s across the area with the clouds moving in. an isolated shower and then

she was one of several people who saw the bright green flash over california. the dazzling display lasted a few seconds. it was most likely the work of a mete meteor. good timing there with her phone on. now in some countries insects are a delicacy.

may have missed the mark. >> i had problems with me from the beginning. >> she says her freezer has been on the fritz. she bought it from sears back in 2011. she tells us water was leaked from the sides and an ice build up would jam the freezer door. it would happen every summer. her 5-year warranty covered her every time teches came out, but year after year, she had to call to have them come out again. the teches would e replace different parts, but her problems would continue. sears even extended home warranty. >> bishop heard about nbc 10 responds. >> when you guys called sooerz, sooerz called me the same day. >> after we got involved, they says it missed the safe which could have stopped the fridge
