whether he directly authorized it. nbc news learned that presidential authorization is is not required for this weapon. >> lauren mayk x thank you. this it delaware teen died after being beaten in a bathroom and today a judge found two of her classmates guilty for their role in her death. delaware reporter tim furlong has covered this case from the very beginning. he's live for us tonight at howard high school of technology. the judge was very specific about what he said happened in the bathroom that day. >> he was absolutely specific. he said this wasn't a fight that happened here almost a year ago. it was an attack because the case of tried in family court, the punishment won't be as severe. juveniles, we don't show their faces. i told the parents have never received an apology from the girls convicted of manning and carrying out an attack on their daughter, an attack that cost amy her life. >> had everyone raised their child the way that the francis family raised theirs, we would

not be here today. >> the family court judge said while amy had a rare heart can be, the attack this a bathroom here directly caused amy's death and said the defendant punched and kicked until someone had to pull her off. system showed it started because they felt they had disrespected her over social media and the lawyer blames peer pressure for her actions. >> she's a good child. this was the first she's ever gotten into in her life. >> that fight cost another girl her life. the defendants will learn their punishment. when the judge decided to try the girls a as juveniles, it meant the potential sentence would be less focused on punishment and more on rehabilitation. >> my hope is we guide the use back ob track to lead the law-abiding life they were meant to leave and. have education they were meant to have and to be able to become productive adults.

>> prosecutors said punishments could have been severe. it could also potentially involve some sort of incarceration. a third girl was also charged with conspiracy. the charge against her was acquitted of that today. so one girl not convicted today. >> investigators say they caught the man who has been breaking into businesses by repelling through rooftops. he's facing 70 charges in connection with the string of burglaries. the district attorney says he had help from a juvenile. . he broke sbo five businesses in february and march. investigators say he took $100,000 in cash as well as jewelry and a gun.

weather for good friday coming up. chief meteorologist glenn schwartz is joining us with your forecast. >> what can we expect for easter weekend? >> it's going to be a good good friday and it's going to be a really warm easter sunday. that's for sure. right now we have a lot of clouds around. they are thickening up a bit as we see some moisture coming in from the west. we have some sprinkles in burke county. very light and spotty. most folks not seeing any and there isn't much behind it either. so not exactly a massive rain threat here tonight. what we will see is over the next hour to hour and a half, some isolated showers moving through to the lighter side. then it's gone. then that's the end of the rain threat for the night. there is no rain threat for tomorrow or tomorrow night. it's 65 degrees right now. we got up to 66. light northwest wind here.

and it's down to 57 in atlantic city with the wind coming in off the ocean. . that's way cooler than it was this yesterday. but everybody goes up as we head through the weekend. i'll have those numbers coming up. continuing coverage here at 6: 6:00. bill cosby's accuser will not have to testify before the sexual assault case goes to trial. the defense team wanted to question the accuser at a prelame nar hearing. he's charged with drugging and molesting the woman in 2004. he's pleaded not guilty. jury selection is set to start next month in pittsburgh. in the lehigh valley, a teacher is facing charges for having a sexual relationship with a student. the district attorney says the victim's parents found inappropriate text messages between their daughter and christopher johnson. the school says johnson is us is spended. a a principal fired over a cheating scandal should get her job back according to the state

court of appeals. she was fired in 2014 after the district accused her of doctoring standardized test scores for students all the a middle school. no word if the school district appeal the decision. new video shows the moment a car crashed into a house. you can see the car on the bottom right as it hits the house. police say the building is a group home for adults with physical and men disabilities. one woman was injured but is expected to be okay. take a look at this within the past half hour. firefighters put out this fire as at this home in montgomery county. it's video of the flames from our chopper. no one media for a post on facebook poking fun at music majors. the college posted an ad that says heading off to college to major in music, good luck with that. the college officials say it was a way to proacademics and pep band.

>> that's a difference in the wind direction. ten degrees colder in philadelphia. 13 e degrees colder in allentown. . so we have seen the temperatures drop. we have seen the clouds increase. and there are some showers on the radar. reading just reporting cloudy skies. some of this is not reaching the ground. but that's about your only decent shot for rain during the night if that's what you're looking for. everything moves out quickly and we're dry during the day tomorrow. and speaking of tomorrow, light wind out of the south. warming things up nicely. 68 degrees. . we're still not talking about 70. easton at 65.

but a lot of sunshine. very little and rain. it will be a sea breeze with that southerly wind coming in and that will keep things at the coast cooler. as we go into tomorrow, we start off with clouds. we're going to see a lot of sunshine. into saturday, we're dry most of the day. we may see some showers saturday nieght. that may be the best chance of seeing some precipitation during the weekend. but lock at that temperature jump. 3 degrees for monday before we start koling off again. i'm john clark.

sixers and fliers season are over. we're doing the autopsy today. they hope to have simmons on the court with elm pambiid for the time. and ben spoke to the media today after getting cleared. his foot is fully healed. the fans are unreal for how they support the team. he wants to play point guard, but probably won't in the summer
