greenberg. that chaotic scene unfolded on a busy street in the middle of the afternoon. nbc 10's andrea cline-thomas is live in upper darby with how the victims are doing. >> reporter: well, i want you to first notice, just how busy 69th street is out here. in fact, there's been a kids' event all day at the theater. that woman and her grandchild, 6 years old, they were crossing this crosswalk right here when they were hit. >> we saw a guy on a dirt bike riding down the street extra fast. >> reporter: paris marshal hall and her co-workers anticipated the crash by how reckless the operator was driving the dirt bike. the grandmother and grandchild were crossing the street in upper darby. >> the little girl wasn't moving at all. she was just staying near, the mom was bleeding, trying to get to the child to see if she was okay. >> reporter: the driver of the dirt bike kept going and crashed. then police say he got up and

carjacked another driver at knife point. then took off in the stolen car. >> he fled to 6400 block of market where he abandoned the vehicle. it looks like he may have run through the woods back into philadelphia. >> reporter: police believe this all started in philadelphia where the dirt bike may have been chased by another car. >> got a bad guy running around like a nut with a knife. >> reporter: at this hour, officers continue to search for the suspect. police say there were a lot of witnesses out here. they're also checking surveillance video to see if that can possibly help them out. now, that woman and her grandchild, they were taken to the hospital. that 6-year-old is in serious condition. reporting live in upper darby, andrea cline-thomas, nbc 10 news. turning now to your easter forecast. and you're in for a treat. first alert meteorologist erica martin said it's going to feel more like memorial day than

easter. >> that's right, ted. i really like that music. it was very soothe i, very easter-like. i'm very happy, because we're celebrating, of course, temperatures unseasonably warm today. we topped out at 66 degrees in philadelphia. and tomorrow, we'll bump this up one degree, 85 degrees is our expected high temperature. notice the southerly influence here. a lot of warm air working its way northward. current temperature in pottstown, 64 degrees. reading at 68. mount pocono, upper 50s for you. trenton 64. and mount holly, current temperature 65 degrees. but notice the cloud deck here. so we're still seeing some moisture in the mid and upper levels. some of you especially along the jersey shore may have seen a few sprinkles. just a little stubborn moisture, that's all we're seeing. satellite radar images picking up on a clearing from the southwest toward the northeast. with edo have clearing skies. but we could see a spotty

campus, alerts went out overnight, be aware a strange man spotted following and grabbing young women. >> this guy was like just assaulting girls. >> reporter: the first victim walking near a sorority house at 10:00 p.m. police say the suspect grand her by the buttocks and shoulder. police say the man groped another woman a few blocks away an hour later. >> the cops were blogging the driveway. they were talking to two females. >> reporter: tom saw police serving for the suspect. >> disgusting. gross. >> reporter: there's no reason to be following young girls around. >> reporter: by close to midnight, two female students say they were also followed by a strange man with a beard wearing a hoody. newark police connecting dots to a similar case on wednesday. at 2:00 in the morning, a man driving a maroon suv followed a woman who was walking on the sidewalk along wyoming road. police say he yelled vulgarities at her out the window.

he got out of the car and then followed her on foot. the woman was able to duck into her dorm room just in time. >> i've never heard of anything that close to campus before. >> reporter: four cases in the span of three days, now students being told to avoid walking alone. >> to have someone like that around, it's definitely heartbreaking that girls have to go through that. >> reporter: now, not much of a description of this suspect. 20 to 30 years old, maybe 5'7" with a beard. anybody with info asked to call newark police. randy gyllenhaal, nbc 10 news. we're following a developing story in montgomery county where an uber drive remains missing. kristen lake was last seen in philadelphia early tuesday morning. she's from abington township. she was driving a 2003 olive green subaru legacy with a pennsylvania tag hja-8582. we have new details about an overnight shooting in philadelphia. police are now telling us four

teens were shot around midnight. originally they thought two teens were shot. now investigators say a 16-year-old, two 17-year-olds and an 18-year-old were all hit by bullets in their ankles, legs or feet. across the country today on what's tra dig alli tax day, people are calling on president trump to release his taxes. hundreds of tax marches taking place from hawaii all the way to the east coast. in our area alone, there were four marches in bensalem, may's landing, lancaster and center city, philadelphia. >> we demand your taxes now! >> demonstrators chanted and carried signs. the march is about economic justice and the president has an obligation to respond to the demands of the american people. >> he needs to be transparent with his constituents.

capable of reaching the united states. in montgomery county, a woman has died, over the home on abby lane in landsdale. she became trapped inside the house. police have not yet provided us with her name. tonight two teens are still recovering after being attacked at a philadelphia carnival earlier this week. the whole thing caught on camera. and then posted on social media. and now one of the alleged attackers is using social media again. this time to reach out and apologize. jayla, still wearing a neck brace, said she got the apology message, but police are still searching for the people who attacked her and her friend while they were on a date tuesday night. the video serving as a traumatic reminder of what happened. >> i blacked out at one point. >> as soon as she got in, she had to go straight into trauma.

now police and a philadelphia business are searching for this woman who they say swiped expensive merchandise, more than once. and this lady doesn't necessarily look like someone who would be called a common criminal. all new at 6:00, drew smith is live in chestnut hill with more on this woman wanted for serial stealing, drew. >> reporter: that's right, ted. the shop owners down here on germantown avenue had a busiest enough day, because it's the day before easter. in the shop across the street they're keeping their eye out for one woman in particular who say hit their store multiple times. the surveillance video documents this woman's every move inside the robertson florist store. >> we were so surprised. >> reporter: a woman with gray hair comes in first, in late february, then you see her again in a different outfit from last weekend. >> she took books, she took trees. little gift items. >> reporter: watch as she picks items off the shelves and drops
