tonight on nbc 10 news at 11:00, hit by this dirt bike and sent flying through the air. in a chaotic scene that unfolded in delaware county we're live at the scene. dueling protests turn into violent attack and arrests on a day that saw pro and antitrump demonstrations including several right here in our area. caught on camera. a woman stealing repeatedly from this local flower shop and she doesn't exactly fit the mold of your average thief. >> nbc 10 breaking news. >> that breaking news is out of gloucester county. route 322 has been shut down in both directions after a man was

hit by a car in glas borough. this is a live look at the scene. police officials tell us this was a police officer that was hit. we are again taking a live look at the scene. route 322 in gloucester county tonight. we'll keep you updated on this breaking news as soon as we find out more information and we also have a reporter, drew smith a few minutes away from the scene. we're getting ready for an easter warm up here in philadelphia's german town neighborhood. we could see summer-like temperatures tomorrow. erica martin is tracking that big warm up in your neighborhood forecast. >> we topped out at 56 degrees in philadelphia. right now we're in the low 60s.

temperature hitting 85. tonight in delaware county a woman and her 6-year-old granddaughter were hit while crossing a busy street. a dirt bike struck the pair. police say the person on the bike then car jacked another vehicle before taking off in the stolen car. andrea is live in darby. this was a chaotic scene that unfolded in the middle of the afternoon. >> reporter: that's right. in both the woman and her grandchild were taken to the hospital. at last check the child was in serious condition. we're in the middle of a shopping area and they were hit while in the middle of this cross walk. the doors of the look at me now barber shop were open around 1:30 this afternoon. >> we heard a loud boom and everyone ran out to see if

people were okay. >> reporter: just feet away a woman and her 6-year-old granddaughter were hit by a speeding dirt bike. >> i see a lady lying there. mom bleeding from the head. >> reporter: police say the man on the dirt bike crashed into a car, got up and car jacked another driver at knife point. >> he got the guy out the car -- >> reporter: then officers say the suspect took off. >> to the 6400 block of market where he abandoned the vehicle. >> reporter: from day to night, 69th street has been buzzing with people, especially children who attended a special show at the theater. >> both sides of the street were boxed up because of the show and everybody out easter shopping. >> reporter: and within moments they bekamp witnesses. >> i was heart broken because that could have been anybody. that could have been my family.

>> reporter: police say this all could have started in philadelphia where the suspect could have been ischachased and this hour is still on the run. nbc 10 news. take a look at this. businesses in chestnut hill are spreading the word about a woman who they say is a repeat shop lifter. her unsuspecting appearance has helped her blend in. the woman was captured on surveillance cameras on two sep rotications. she went walking all over the store, slowly picking up books, trays and other items and putting them in a plastic bag. >> it's shocking when you actually see her doing it on the video and it's a so right there in front of you and shove it into her bag. >> the store says an inventory check shows they lost $500 worth

of merchandise after the two incidents. they're on the hunt for the person who's been grabbing women. they say a man groped and harassed four women. they're advising students not to walk alone and keep their doors locked. across the country today on what's traditionally tax day people are calling on president trump to release his taxes. more than 100 tax marches took place in cities from coast to coast including washington d.c., atlan atlanta, chicago and west palm beach, to precer the president to release his tax returns. president trump supporters clashed. 13 people were arrested after fight spread into the streets. some burned flags while others

the university is tellsing us about the officer who is awake and communicating with doctors that hospital. it was just after 10:00. you can see that car down there has the smashed wind shield. that car was passing the officer that was pulling over another car and that car accidently hit another officer causing the injuries out here. there's a large investigation on the highway. they have it shut down on both directions. and again we want to say that what the university is tell us ugis this is an accidental hit of the officer and the driver did stay on the scene. again we're told he is awake and talking. we're live on rowen's campus. >> thank you for the update. frrsz a north korean missile exploded on the east coast today. a high profile failure as a

in and around philadelphia seeing mild conditions. and right now in philadelphia we're seeing a couple of clouds at most. the doppler radar is picking up on rain, possibly an isolated thunderstorm moving into parts of new castle. you can see the greens and oranges and reds. this is not a wash out but certainly worth the mention. we have that warm front moving from the southwest to the northeast. it does destabilize the atmosphere. it means we're going to be well above average. the average low in philadelphia is 44. 56 for mt. holly. atlanta city a pair of 5s for you. and upper 50s as your expected overnight low. very mild indeed. hour by hour forecast.

the clouds clearing the area. but because we have the warm front moving towards the northeast and a cold front follow behind that, i can't take out the chance of a possible shower moving in later tomorrow afternoon especially for parts of lehigh valley. so i'm going to go ahead and keep clouds in the forecast. but i'm not going to stop the temperatures from climbing. and notice we're seeing partly to mostly cloudy skies. so for the pa suburbs also seeing the cloudiness. 81 degrees. the same goes for the lehigh valley seeing a couple sprinkles out there. and for the most part conditions will remain above average for tomorrow and then we're going to dip into the 60s by tuesday. this is sports desk brought to you by xfinity. x 1 from xfinity will change the way you experience tv.
