cleveland, ohio. >> hopefully i'm going to try to kill as many people as i can. >> reporter: in cleveland, a city wide-man hospital. police are looking for steve stephens. the video shows the suspect getting out of the car and telling the man on the street says he's about to die because of a woman. than a handgun comes out of view, a in moments the victim is lay lying in blood. police have told citizens to be on the lookout for stephens. >> we want this to lend for as much peace we can bring to this right now. >> reporter: on his facebook page stephens claims to have killed even more people. police say they are searching for additional victims, but none have been found. >> well, tonight in bucks county four homes are seriously damaged

after a fast moving fire ripped through them. right now we're hearing from neighbors who watched the fire spread and called 911. >> reporter: well, i want to show you those homes are actually gutted. you see firefighters are still on-the-scene more than 7 hours later to put out the hot spot. >> i looked out, and flames. the tree was an fire. >> reporter: he had a direct view out of the flames. the flames were so hot it began melting his siding. >> i freaked out, so i just called 911. >> reporter: the winds were no help as the fire quickly spread. when the firefighters arrived, there were already two homes up in flames. >> we tried to make a quick

knock to see if we had anything. we did not. no one was hurt. >> reporter: by the time it the fire was under control, four homes were a total loss. >> everybody was safe. no one got hurt, i don't think. but it's a mess. a whole different view now. >> reporter: hours later the work continues to put out a possible hot spot, the families forced to come to grips with starting over. >> it's like a movie. it's like you're seeing a movie. >> reporter: out of the two of the four homes were occupied. we saw a for sale sign-on one of those empty homes. now once the fire is completely out, investigators can start to figure out how this started. take a look at this. that's a jersey shore easter

he welcomed more than 150 nee catholics as member of the church. every year on easter the church collects money for a cause in philadelphia. this year that money will go towards partial scholarships for high school graduates in the city who plan to go to community college of philadelphia. an update now on a story we brought you last night at 11:00. a police officer is recovering after he was struck by a car during a traffic stop. nbc 10 was on-the-scene where the accident happened on route 222. the driver of the striking car did stop at the scene. tonight a man is facing a slew of charges after police say he hit a woman and her 6-year-old niece with his dirt

bike. they say he hit the pair as they crossed 69th street yesterday afternoon. after crashing officers say douglas car jacked a man. we'll take you through how it all ened coming up in our next half-hour. philadelphia police are on the hunt for a person who shot and killed a woman in kensington. the 24-year-old victim was found shot in the vest around 1:30 this morning. she was taken to the hospital where she died. so far there's been no arrest. well, we've all passed by them on the roadway, roadside memorials to remember people killed in crashes. those memorials can quickly become eye sor soars or become traffic hazards as items left behind make their way to the streets. a bill would allow a victim's relatives to pay for a

ten years ago today a loan gunman went on shooting rampage at virginia tech. today in blacksberg students and

staff came to remember and to mourn. there was a brief ceremony and a reading of the victims names. at 9:43 this morning there was a moment of silence. that's when the rampage began. 33 people died, 17 others were hurt. the gunman eventually turned the gun on himself. >> even when something unspeakable happens, some goods comes out of it. so the fact there's so many people here and seeing people being there for each other, i think that's something so good. >> at that time it was the largest mass shooting in u.s. history. well, 7 people are hurt in florida after a 14-year-old driver crashed. and get this, his mom was in the car as he was driving. the teen lost control of the car. the teen is charged for driving without a license.

north korea's missile launched failed almost immediately according to u.s. and south koreaen military officials. the failed launch came hours after a massive military parade. u.s. warships are heading to the region. senator john mccain says this could be the first real test for president trump. >> for eight years we basically did nothing in response to some of the most horrendous war crimes in history. at least he did something. now i hope that there will be a strategy to follow that up. >> homeland security secretary john kelly was also on meet the press this morning. he said what to do with the almost 11 million people who

overnight is 61 here. we're expected to hit 0 overnight, and allanten 67 degrees. we are still under the influence of that warm front and that nice southwesterly flow. our ten day forecast shows us a change, however. notice you have 74 tomorrow, a pair of 6s on tuesday and 6s on wednesday. by thursday we're seeing temperatures in the low 70s, so it looks like we're going to climb just a little bit, denise, but go right back into the 60s on friday and saturday for the phillies games. and on the weekend we could seal some showers on the second half of the weekend. i don't think we can complain because easter was so perfect, so gorgeous.

erika. >> as you mentioned unseizably warm to say the least. the felt more like memorial weather today. we do have to talk about these scattered showers moving through, 40, 50 miles per hour. that's good news. i'll tell you what's even better fuse, we got to enjoy the tire day with just a few clouds. now we're getting light showers through parts of buckingham, trenton. really no downpours. it does look like we'll start getting scattered showers, just moving very quickly. chestnut hill at 71 and west mount area, current temperature 69 degrees for you. so pretty much above average. so definitely something to enjoy

300 more parking spaces. it's free to park through midjune, and the garage will be open seven days a week. if you're taking the airport line, starting tomorrow you can buy quick trips at a kiosk. those are single trip tickets between the airport and any other septa stop. it'll make it easier for people to get to the nfl draft next week. the deadline is tomorrow. voters can choose to sign-up online by mail or in person at their county's voter registration office. and tomorrow students at the community college of philadelphia will be talking about the philadelphia sweetened beverage tax. it is part of a day-long conference. representatives from local businesses and pre-k will be there to discuss the impact of the tax on the city.

well, two men are in the hospital after a shooting just after 11:00 this morning. it happened on chester street. one man was shot in the chest, the other in the arm. police have yet to make an arrest. tonight we have an update on a dirt bike crash and a carjacking that sent a woman and her 6-year-old niece to the hospital. >> reporter: the suspect and the victims all had had to seek medical attention. that aunt and her 6-year-old niece were hurt pretty badly. in fact the child is being treated here at chuck where she's still in critical condition. he was being treat frd a collapsed lung and spinal injuries. police say douglas was on his dirt bike speeding when he hit a woman and her 6-year-old niece as they crossed 69th street. after crossing the dirt bag,

officers say douglas car jacked a man. police found the 32-year-old injured in the woods not far from where the stolen car was recovered. the suspect now faces more than 10 charges and is being held on a $1 million cash bail. and we're still following breaking news out of ohio. that's where an all out man-hunt in cleveland is happening tonight after a man killed someone, broadcasting it live on facebook. steve stephens also bragged about killing other people. he is considered armed and dangerous. police say the killing of 77-year-old man man on facebook live -- he said he would not stop killinginal his mother and his grandmother called him.

easter service had worshippers outside by candlelight. the sun was up in old city this morning. the sunrise service started at 5:30 this morning on the burial crowds at the church. prayers continued until the resurrection of jesus. >> but then as we move toward the telling of the story of resurrection, the light is coming up around us. we humans need to do things physically in order to feel them. >> worshippers we spoke to said they try not to miss the service because of how powerful it is to them. this was an especially special easter sunday for them. this was the first service back inside it's own building since 16 months. back in january of 2016, the

roof collapsed under heavy snow. for the past 16 months the church has been holding services inside a school gym. hundreds of parishionners gathered at st. anthony three days after the church ceiling came down. it happened a few hours before holy sunday serves were to start. no one in the church was inside at the time. >> well, easter the day for family, and lots of holiday traditions. today's stummer like weather made the futivities even better. >> reporter: among south street the easter promenade marched to music and sunshine. the day for easter bonnets and bunny ears, also came with shorts for the mayor as temps hit the 80s. no need for coats or sweaters to cover easter dresses today. outside is the place to be.

treat. parks like this one also busy today. and one reason we got so lucky with the weather this year, easter came about three weeks later than it did last year. nbc 10 news. perfect conditions for an easter egg hunt. after morning services there was an easter egg hunt at christ church. hundreds of eggs were hid in the courtyard. kids keeping their eyes peeled. others just enjoyed the fun of it all. >> erika, we are seeing some changes, though. >> that's right. we went from 80s today and hitting low 60s by wednesday. right now, however, we're seeing 60s for allentown. philadelphia currently at 78 degrees.

lancaster apparently a pair of 60s for you, but notice the southwesterly winds. we do have that southwesterly influence which of course means warmer air for our area. we go right back up to the lee high area. warnerville 65 degrees. i'm heading up to lee high valley, because is already where we've been getting reports of some scattered showers. white haul also seeing 63 degrees. satellite and radar image, notice that we're seeing some light showers moving through. but really at best just very unorganized, a couple of scattered showers, mid and upper level clouds. they're not those lower level clouds. so this will sort of pass very quickly. the good news is we didn't have a very unstabilized atmosphere. so the good news is locally we haven't seen much. williams port, just outside new

york, connecticut, you guys did see some downed trees. we did luck out today. weather topped out 87 degrees in philadelphia, and it's really just been a mix of sun and clouds for the entire day. and now we're just seeing partly cloudy skies. satellite and radar image picking up some returns. not in philadelphia, but will soon enough, and all you're ghoeg to see is one or two showers. i want to zoom in just a little bit cloers. trenton, you are getting reports of some scattered showers, and that's all you're going to see. you will see plenty of clouds. that's the big story after midnight. so 2:00 a.m., you may see some clouds. same deal at 10:00 a.m. the clouds are going to stick around simply because we do have some mischor head said in our direction. for the p.a. subbshz notice how
