eagles' new skechedule. nbc 10 news starts now. but first a community's trust betrayed. they say this soccer coach took advantage of one of his players and left her pregnant. >> the girl is 15 years old and the coach paid her to have sex with him. live in south philadelphia with new details on this investigation which is just beginning. >> reporter: tonight police want to know if there were any other victims. on the other side of this basketball court. we're in a popular part of south philly. and tonight we track down someone who knew the coach. not far from the playground where he coached soccer is a shop where nbc 10 tracked down pentoja was in disbelief over

allegations contreras got his 15-year-old player pregnant. >> translator: to me he is a respectful person. it must be a misunderstanding but the authorities will have to resolve that. >> reporter: police say the teen discovered she was pregnant one month after she asked the suspect for a job at his cleaning business. they say he told the victim she didn't have to clean and talked her into having sex with him for money instead. she told him she had sex with him five times over the course of a month and he gave her money each time. police say he lived on south street not far from the play ground where he coached soccer. we broke the news to parents. one mom told us it's a tragic situation for the young girl and her family. >> it's a very unfortunate

situation and as a parent you want to believe that your children are -- everyone has the best interest for your child, especially people that are coaching your children. >> reporter: we learned prado contrars was a volunteer in his league. live in south philly. nbc 10 news. >> new details now from paris where the iconic place became a scene of an isis attack. killed one police officer and injured two others. that gunman was killed on the scene but authorities are trying to figure out if more attacks are on the way. french police are investigating this car believed to have used to attack police officers. killing one, seriously wounding two others. in an attack isis quickly

claimed responaunonsibility for. he moved from a car and used an automatic weapon to shoot at officer'si officer's guarding the shopping district in paris. they searched the home believed to be lirnked to the attack. a witness says he saw three men in the vehicle that fired on police. >> i saw three men in an audi and kill one of the police and injure one. then i run away. >> reporter: shortly after the attack president trump addressed it during a previously scheduled news conference. >> what can you say? just never ends. we have to be strong and vigilant and i've been saying it for a long time. >> reporter: french president said he was convinced the circumstances pointed to a terrorist act. they're now trying to determine

little breaks but there is more off to the west that will wake you up. we'll have a sneak peek at your weekend coming up. a father accused of killing his 4-year-old son claims it was his spirit that drove his 5 yoeltd son into the woods. the boy's mother took the stand today and told jurors that the spirit theory was odd. they say he killed his son because of money troubles and claims he was causing problems in his relationship. >> we're learning more about the man police shot and killed. new castle police have identified him as 21-year-old price. he's wanted in connection to a shooting earlier this month. he drove off when they tried to arrest him yesterday afternoon. he hid in bushes and came out with a gun. that's when officers opened fire. search is over for a woman

county courtroom today. tiffany dixon described how her family has struggled since the shooting that took her husband's life. jury convicted him yesterday for the 2014 ambush that also injured a second state trooper. a new study suggests drinking diet soda may raise your risk of stroke or dementia. they found as little as one diet soda a day could put you as nearly three times the risk. doctors say they reinforce other studies that show people who drink them generally have poorer health. an update on the story we first told you about yesterday. crews have finally freed a boat that's been stuck since a january storm. the northeast nor'easter 2 has

been in the water since 2015. >> it's making some progress there. well, you might hear rain outside your window tonight. meteorologist tammy souza is tracking your weather. >> we're going to focus on parts of delaware and south jersey. all of this is moving off to the east. so let's take a closer look at what's going on in your neighborhood. off to wilmington, that's where we see the heaviest of the rain. places like washington, you're going to have a pretty good down pour in the next 30 to 60 minutes. we are going to see ponding on some of the roadways. but you look up, there's nothing going on. we have the cloud cover basically there. kind of in the path of all of

this. so this will head out to the shore in the next 60 minutes. allen town getting a brief shower. lind starting to clear out. so you get the idea we're on the back edge of it here. these are the spottier showers back here and we have heavier stuff moving into new york. and you can see there is still more activity being pushed ahead of the cold front being driven by this big area of low pressure driven by parts of canada. so let's go hour by hour and break it all down. we're still quite mild, in the 50s but here's the first batch of rain. everywhere from allen town to doyles town to philly we're going to be looking at showers. it trends further north. everybody that didn't get it will get it early tomorrow morning. that will be out of here. we'll get a little clearing

during the second half of the morning rush. another batch of showers and storms could move through. i think we'll be close to 80 degrees in between there. then we get into saturday morning. look what happened. we may get a few lingering showers saturday morning. and then have a little bit more activity in the afternoon. and this could even linger into sunday morning. so at this point the whole weekend may feature a shower activity here and there. we're watching tropical storm auraleen. you're seeing probably what's going on. here it is in the atlantic and arlean will be fish food. it's not going to hurt anybody. we have 50 mile-per-hour winds. at about 28 miles per hour. only the second time we have seen a tropical storm form in the month of april since the at slight era when they could be detected. so this is very rare and now the official start to the hurricane
