so here's a live look near the scene in manchester where people have been paying their respects and thousands gathered for a vigil earlier this afternoon. we have team coverage of the major story. randy gyllenhaal found out how local concert venues are st stepping up security. >> let's begin with erin coleman in our breaking news center with more on today's developments. >> we just got new video of today's raid. armed security blasted the door open in order to get into the suspect's home. unmarked cars appeared on the street and 30 officers locked down that entire area. neighbors say people who lived there kept to themselves and would often come and go at night. cell phone video shows the chaos that erupted after the blast went off. you can see people running toward the exits. the turmoil children became separated from parents and friends. people are now using social media hunting for people still missing. they are circulating names a

photos. one mother is still searching for her 15-year-old daughter. >> i'm really sick. i don't know where she is. i don't know if she's alive even yet. >> hundreds of people gathered outside city hall in manchester to hold a vigil for the victim. then there was a moment of silence at bucking ham palace. queen elizabeth and members of the royal family paused before the state of the garden party in the palace gardens. ariana gran day has suspended her tour. she was supposed to perform in london on thursday. she had dates in belgium and poland and germany. in the hours following the attack, she tweeted she felt broken. she was not physically harmed in the attack. support has been pouring in really from celebrities and performers all over. taylor swift tweeted, my thoughts, prayers and tears for all those affected by them manchester tragedy.

prevent iing attacks on the sof targets. >> the wet weather continues. we are tracking a chance for showers in the area tonight. some of them could stick around for the morning commute. this was as scene as students maid their way around campus. >> glenn schwartz is tracking the return of rain later toni t tonight. not everyone will see it, which is why neighborhood weather is so important. >> the further south, the better chance you have of seeing the rain. everybody has the clouds up in easton. and the rain is pretty patchy. a a lot of this not reaching the ground yet. but farther to the south, it certainly is. it's a pretty significant area in virginia and this in north caroli carolina. the highest resolution future weather model showing that rain moving into delaware and south jersey by 9:00 tonight.

having a hard time coming through the area. we may see some of that rain anywhere in the area during the night by the time we get to the morning rush and if there's anything in the heavier area, it would be in delaware and south jersey during at least a portion of the morning rush. now it's unseasonably chilly again today with the rain and clouds. there's the rain at 6:00 a.m. right for the morning rush. it's going to be on the cool side. we're not expecting heavy rain with this particular system. there's another one coming on thursday. that's more significant. we'll get into the timing of that one and the weekend, coming up. >> sky force 10 live over a fire.

what do you know about this? >> this is in doylestown, a partial roof collapse on a sewage authority plant. there was a pretty significant fire here just after 3:30. as you can imagine, there's some serious chemicals inside that plant. dispatch said all fire units here have been successful this putting out this fire. no word on a cause or any injuries. that's the latest from sky force 10. >> president trump is in rome. his first stop in europe as part of his official overseas trip as president. it will be a whirlwind 24 hours for the president. he's expected to visit the vatican tomorrow to meet pope francis. after that he's flying to brussels for talks with the european union and then back to italy again on thursday. his new budget promises faster economic growth here at home, but it comes with steep cuts to programs for the poor.

recent derailments and other problems at penn station pushed amtrak to start replacing ageing tracks and other equipment. philadelphia police are look ing for the person who stabbed a woman to death. the victim was found in kensing on to around 2:30 this morning. she had gone into a playground and come out with stab wounds. she died at the hospital. a new bill offers sweeping changes to new jersey's paid family leave program. the assembly speaker unveiled the bill today. it includes increased leave time. it also expands paid benefits and strengthens job protections. pennsylvania lawmakers are considering a bill to help women who suffer from postpartum depression. it would make patients eligible for early interventions. a makeover for an historic site in old city. christ church will unveil the

benjamin franklin gravestone. a crack. developed. crews fixed the crack to prevent more damage. the $80,000 repair was paid for from a gofundme page and also pennies that visitors have thrown on the grave. the resting place for both ben franklin and his wife debra. businesses interested in partnering with and supporting public schools held a friend raising breakfast this morning. the mayor met with regional corporations to help them find the best ways to invest. to an update from our nbc 10 responds team on that massive target data breach. they have all reached an agreement, but the biggest victory is for consumers. more importantly the pennsylvania attorney general's office tells nbc 10 responds the settle the requires target to put new steps in place to keep shoppers safe. now target must separate card

pretty large area. you can see it's moving right in our direction. and that is not the end of it. we have a huge upper air low. we have seen a the lot of that lately. that is spinning this moisture up in our direction. we're going to get wave after wave of moisture come in here. so we have several chances of getting rain over the next several days. 66 degrees right now with cloudy skies and northeast wind. that keeps the. temperature below normal. close to 10 degrees below normal today. and not much wind elsewhere, but everybody has got the clouds. and nobody is reporting the rain. at least not yet. in delaware, that's going to be the first place to actually get it. once it does move in, greenville, and farther to the south, it's cooler. 62 in georgetown. 61 in mills bo ro.

59 degrees and in the exactly beach weather today. we have a lot of unbeach like days ahead. the time we get into the morning rush, somebody in allentown, quakertown, trenton, not raining everywhere. but raining in several places. by 9:30, it's gone. there's 1:00 still in the 60s. we could get near 70 tomorrow afternoon. with mostly cloudy skies. that's the nice part of the rest of the week.

this hurricane hunter is big and ready for action. >> this is a very sturdy. it was built for combat. >> it needs to be. high winds over 150 miles per hour. so you're flying sideways. >> these planes fly right into the eye of the storm providing us information how strong and how big the storm is. without that, we have to estimate from the satellite images. >> reporter: right now we're on the g-4. here's the meteorologist station. all the computers are networked and this plane holds eight to nine crew members. this is a plane that's used to fly around and over a hurricane. from above and around the storm, gonzo gathers important data used to improve forecasting. >> 120 mile an hour winds at the lasted a vo ed advisory. >> all the way from the aircraft to the surface.

the hurricane season start june 1st. >> it takes a special breed to go up in those planes. i like to stay on the ground as well. while everybody is e evacuating the coastline, i was driving right toward it trying to get information back to the weather channel back in those days. a couple of rain drops in maryland. >> most of that is moving off to the northeast. it's going to miss our area.

it's going to graze delaware and the jersey shore. there are plenty other areas we have this big swirl and upper air system in the midwest. there's more back down by dallas. there's another area around st. louis. there are plenty of disturbances all over the country. so i don't know how we're going to miss this as we go into the next several days. right now we have temperatures in the mid-60s. and that means that it stays cool at the shore. the ocean temperature now up to 60 degrees. which will help us a little bit this weekend if it stays up there. tomorrow we could see a a little rain first thing in the morning. but for the most part it's

mostly cloudy. the temperature getting up to 73 in fairmont. newark delaware at 71. which is a lot better than today. the showers could last a little longer at the delaware beaches. then as we go into tomorrow night, we're going to be seeing cloudy skies and here we come into thursday morning. that is a lot of rain. heavy rain coming through. so the heaviest of the rain thursday looks like it may come in the morning. and then if we warm up enough in the afternoon, we could e see some thunderstorms. this is mostly for sunday and into monday. the blood test chance of showers would be on sunday.
