it has been increasing over the last couple of hours. center city, south philly and the rain but the rest of the city still out of it. this is moving straight up to the northeast up the delaware river in south jersey getting it. you can see it's moving very rapidly. more showers back to the west. everything continues to move through. this is a fairly small disturban disturbance. we have something a little more significant that we'll have to track for tonight. as we go into the afternoon this main area of rain starts to move out and by the afternoon rush it may be dry across the entire area as we watch the storms coming in central pennsylvania as we go into the evening hours. and then it will get a little bit warmer tomorrow.

maybe a lot warmer. it is only 59 degrees now. it is 58 in atlantic city. the average high this time of the year is 78 degrees. okay. nowhere near that today. watch out for the thunderstorms this evening. pa suburbs not even to the mid-60s. some showers even by 5:00 in the lehigh valley. also up in delaware parts of the jersey shore may just stay cloudy during the day today. we'll have that along with the weekend outlook coming up. looking for the gunman that shot a 7-eleven clerk during a robbery. >> he was trying to do what the robber asked but was shot any y anyway. we have more on the suspect and the victim. >> reporter: we have been here

since 5:30 this morning. this is a very busy store. there were no customers inside at the time of the robbery. we did talk to regulars about the clerk that was shot during the armed robbery. >> that's sad. i see him every day smiling. >> by the time she got to the 7-eleven it was back open for business. hours earlier it was closed as police collected surveillance tapes and searched for physical evidence in an armed robbery that left a store clerk wounded. >> one was armed with a gun and one was a lookout. >> the armed subject went straight for the register. >> he opened the register. he did cooperate. >> the suspect demanded the clerk open a second register. the suspect shot him once in the upper arm and fired off a second shot into the ceiling.

>> it is getting crazy out here. >> the shooter put the money in the bag and they both took off. police stepped up patrols in the area and located a person of interest. >> they found him on top of a roof after a building. >> the store clerk was taken to the hospital where he was listed in stable condition. >> you vus have to pray his family and for him too. >> reporter: i just spoke with police. they are calling that person they took into custody this morning a person of interest. boast suspects were wearing masks. the shooter had a mask that showed part of his face. they are hoping surveillance images will help them identify their suspects and track them down. nbc 10 news. a teenager dead and another in the hospital after a shooting in a neighborhood.

in florida. we have more on the arrest. >> tiger woods says he was not consuming any alcohol when he was arrested for dui here in jupiter, florida. tiger woods says he was using prescription drugs we have details here that suggest that -- it says that the officer came upon him in his vehicle and that tiger woods had his southbound on and was seated in the driver's seat. it should be noted that woods was asleep at the wheel. it's .000. tiger woods he had no alcohol in his system and the breath test proves what he says is accurate.

in jupiter, florida, nbc news. >> people in north carolina are picking up the pieces after severe storms laeft path of damage. at least 12 people were hurt. well, there's one and the cool temperatures making it less likely to get severe weather. you can see what's happening here. showers were pretty heavy in maryland and into delaware. as they come into new jersey in the more stable cooler air they are weakening and spreading out a little bit. it is raining but it's not nearly as heavy in most places. we do have one little area of showers near cedarville. most of the rest of the area is light to moderate. we have another area a little

bit more than light -- they are moving pretty rapidly. wilmington has a shower that will be moving out of wilmington. lighter showers at the shore near wildwood and up towards here. this is with a weak front that's coming down and may be effecting us tonight. as we go through the afternoon if anything this area will continue to weaken.

it does weaken as it comes through tonight. we get some showers but nothing approaching the strong storms that we are going to be getting in central pennsylvania. we are in the upper 50s to near 60 degrees right now. it is only 61 in stone harbor. it is barely going to get into the 60s at the shore today. we have 60s again today for the entire area. 70s tomorrow though. we have a few thunderstorms tonight and more thunderstorms expected tomorrow and we actually have a sunny day expected on thursday. as we go through the rest of the

day there's the drying later on during the day. there is the weakening of those storms tonight. let's see what the latest model has for tomorrow. it starts off with clouds and fog. once again, lots of clouds during the day tomorrow and then later on during the day some showers and storms, as you can see especially into the evening hours tomorrow. look at the temperature, 78 degrees tomorrow. it's not even 60 in much of the area today or at least so far. 68 today, 78 tomorrow. there's a sunny day thursday. and look at friday, into the 80s. even allentown will get into the 70s. we do have the storms tomorrow at the shore. conditions are going to improve and so you to be patient. the sun will be returning later in the week. >> patience has never been my

here with the forecast. >> yeah. there it is. clouds all over the place. there are showers as well and quite a few showers but things are already quieting down in dell caaware delaware. we vom -- we have some southeast and west west. this is month come ri in-- mont. this is on the edge of the heavier rain. new britain is right in the heavier path. this will get the rain heavier coming up. we also have this area of heavier rain south of trenton. it is just going into south jersey and chesterfield and upper township in the targets for that. as you can see they are moving pretty rapidly. you don't have any kind of big storm ws ths with that.

>> all right. and i got to see that show in new york as well. it was tremendous. i certainly recommend it. we have a lot of showers around especially in new jersey. they are moving rapidly. they are not especially heavy. some in the philadelphia area. some of the heaviest is well off of the delaware river. this one headed right into williams town. about to get heavier rain coming up and as you can see, again, in parts of philadelphia we are seeing some of that heavier rain, just moderate to heavy. it really quieted down in delaware. that's sign of things to come. still lighter showers across cape may county. just another nasty chully day at

the shore and no real prospects for sunshine. the futurecast shows this activity moving out as we head towards the afternoon rush. we'll watch it back to the west so see if any of those storms make it into our area this evening. this computer model suggesting delaware has the best chance of getting hit by a thunderstorm tonight. tomorrow we start off with clouds again but things improve. it will be a lot warmer than today. 59 degrees. close to noontime barely 60. in other parts look add all of the cloud cover. and so it is not a pleasant day. that includes delaware. marshalton all 59 degrees. farther to the south -- yeah.
