right now on nbc 10 news today, robbed and stabbed. this morning the search is on for suspects after a knife attack sends three people to the hospital. lawyers in the bill cosby trial aring this weekend as the defense gets set to make its case. is it possible cosby could take the stand? and heating up. this weekend will mark the start of what could be a heat wave as our temperatures flirt with the 90s. those details in the first alert neighborhood forecast. just a little bit cloudy behind us here. that's all right. we'll get through it. this is nbc 10 news today. i'm rosemary connors. 7:00 on this saturday. tammie souza is tracking those temperatures. tammie, it will warm up out there. >> it will warm up quickly as well. been in the 60s. we're 66 now in allen town. calm winds out there.

the feels like is 66. we do have some thin, high cloud cover. we do have a few showers that may hit the ground out there in parts of the lehigh valley and burks county, southern poconos. not a real big deal even if it makes it into the suburbs. very brief. 64 in wilmington. calm winds there as well and in philadelphia pretty much we have some cloud cover, 66, and winds at five miles an hour. the next six hours we'll be climbing from 66 to 77 and 83 by 1:00 this afternoon with southwest winds. we'll see sunshine with some of those very high, thin clouds out there. doppler radar sweeping the sky. you notice the shower ak it tift towards harrisburg was moving towards fiphiladelphia. it just keeps falling apart because we have dry air in place so all the little showers that were around allentown diminished as they make their way in to the pennsylvania suburbs. in upper bucks county right now really nothing, just some cloud cover. we do have a second wave that

will try to make its way into the area before noon. it doesn't look like that will have much effect on us as well. we'll see sun, an isolated sprinkle. 88 today in philadelphia. 87 in the pennsylvania suburbs. 86 in the lehigh valley. jersey, you'll see 87. 79 on the jersey shore and 87 in delaware. tomorrow everybody in the 90s with the exception of the shore. 85 degrees there. rosemary? >> still nice and warm out there. thank you, tammie. the breaking news that we're following this morning, investigators are trying to track down who is responsible for robbing and stabbing three men in philadelphia. george spencer is live outside of einstein medical center where the victims are being treated. george, what can you tell us? >> reporter: rosemary, we know they are still inside the hospital trying to talk it to the three injured victims. this was a triple stabbinging

a and all three were robbed as well. on the 600 block of mayfair earlier this morning as investigators were a.m. a 27 ye-year-old man was stabben the neck. a 28-year-old man stabbed in the chest and the back. the injuries to the third victim not yet clear but the victims do say they were robbed. we do not know exactly how much cash, though, was stolen from them. all three were rushed to einstein medical center. they are being less than cooperative as part of the investigation. we do know investigators are looking for two suspects in the case. those suspects really last seen fleeing from that scene. live this morning at einstein medical center, i'm george spencer, nbc 10 news. >> thanks for the update, george. now to the bill cosby sex assault trial. today lawyers will be working at the montgomery county courthouse without the jury present. this comes after the prosecution rested its case yesterday. cosby waved to supporters and

fans as he left the courthouse in norristown. prosecutors used the comedian's own words from previous police statements and depositions to bolster their claims he drugged and sexually assaulted andrea constand in 2004. cosby told lawyers the two had a consensual relationship. prosecutors say it was anything but. a spokesman for cosby tells us there's a chance the comedian could take the stand. >> nothing is ever off the table when you're in a trial of this magnitude. you have to weigh all your options. we're weighing every option. >> the jury will be back in the courtroom on monday. stay with nbc 10 for full coverage of the bill cosby trial. you can get updates on the case anytime on the nbc 10 app. new overnight a woman is in critical condition after her foot was severed by a subway train in north philly. this all happened just before midnight at the cecil b. moore station near temple university.

the woman fell from the platform and was trapped beneath the train. an investigation into the accident continues. this morning one family is outraged. another is shaken after it fill police shot and killed a man who appeared to be running away from an officer. nbc 10 obtained this exclusive surveillance video. police are looking at it as well to determine whether or not the officer followed department rules after shooting the man in the back. the officer stopped the man for riding his dirt bike erratically in feltonville. during a patdown the officer discovered the man had a loaded gun. poe he lease say after each went for their weapons, the officer opened fire just feet from where a father and his children were sitting inside the officer's patrol car. >> from a constitutional standpoint, there's nothing that says you can't shoot at a fleeing suspect. i'm talking about departmental esh use just so we're clear. >> you probably would be best served as a police officer to call another unit to engage in the situation. >> that was a former police

officer and security expert. the father sitting inside the police car was a witness to an unrelated crime. he was with the officer to report it. the family of the dirt bike rider is calling for justice. another call for justice this morning leading senator dianne feinstein is now calling for an investigation into possible obstruction of justice by president donald trump. senator feinstein is the ranking member of the intelligence committee who heard testimony from former fbi director james comey on thursday. late yesterday she sent a letter to the judiciary committee calling on that panel to look into possible obstruction by the president linked to his firing of comey. president trump and his supporters say comey's testimony totally and completely vindicates the president. mr. trump also says he's 100% willing to testify under oath to disprove what comey said about him on capitol hill. the president is denying that he asked comey for a loyalty pledge during a one-on-one meeting

earlier this year. at the white house yesterday mr. trump also insisted that comey lied during parts of his testimony. >> james comey confirmed a lot of what i said, and some of the things that he said just weren't true. >> the president's personal lawyer says he plans to file a complaint against comey for leaking comey's conversations with the president. 7:07 right now on this saturday. here are some of the other stories making headlines this morning. a suspended philadelphia police officer will soon be out of a job after she ended up on the wrong side of the law. police tell us the officer was off duty when she pulled a gun and threaten ed others at a bar in logan back in january. williams is facing charges including assault and making terrorist te terroristic threats. they plan to dismiss her by next month. this man is under arrest in the shooting of a 6-year-old boy in wilmington. the suspect's name is chelsea outlaw. police tell us the child and mother were sitting inside of an

suv at 6th and spruce streets on tuesday when outlaw got out of another and started spraying bullets. the child was hit three times. he remains in critical condition. his mother had minor injuries from broken glass. in morrisville, four teens will be charged as juveniles in connection with a house fire started by a fire work. one adult, abraham, has been charged with arson. flames ripped through the house on stevens road last saturday. police say the suspects stole fireworks from a nearby food market. kata is accused of tossing one of the lit fireworks into the carport of the house. we are learning new details this morning about last weekend's terror attack in london. authorities reveal the attack could have been much worse if it hadn't been for a declined payment. we'll explain ahead. , efforts to solve a local mystery in chester county more than a century old.

philadelphia mayor and fire commissioner will join craig's family for the tribute. it was last october when community members painted the mural in tribute to the fallen hero. lieutenant craig of engine 64 died after trapped inside of a burning house in 2014. a federal study found bad equipment and a breakdown in communication were factors that contributed to her death. heads up for drivers. penndot crews will begin a reconstruction project on i-95 in philly. pennsylvania governor tom wolf announced funding to revamp a stretch of 95 between the vine street expressway and south broad street. the project is designed to reconnect the delaware waterfront to the rest of the city. improvements are also planned around penn's landing and the south port marine terminal will be developed. another traffic alert to let know about. the ben franklin bridge will be closed to traffic tomorrow morning from 6:00 to 8:00. it's all to make way for the american cancer society's annual

through a front window of a paint store. or be ore finally darting back outside. it caused thousands of dollars in damage. what about this bobcat. what do you do if inside your house. a mother and two kids had to learn that lesson when a bobcat got into this their house in morris county. the family decided to lock themselves in the bathroom. police also were at the scene. they opened all the doors to the house and the bobcat left after about an hour. there was a report in the area of a bobcat attacking a dog. that was captured by fish and wildlife. it's not clear if this is the same animal. this weekend there's an elevated risk for rip currents down the shore. it's very easy for swimmers to get caught off guard not to mention we haven't been at the beach in months.
