accuse, andrea constand, makes contact with the public. what her social media share tells us. good evening, everyone. i am jim rosenfield live outside the montgomery county courthouse in norristown where jurors are still deliberating in the bill cosby trial. here is what we know. this morning they told the judge they are divided on all three charges of aggravated indecent assault that cosby faces. the judge told the jurors to keep deliberating. and to try to reach a verdict on at least one of those three charges. in the past 20 minutes, andrew wyatt, a spokesman for bill cosby, told us how the comedian is holding up tonight. >> he is rested. he is -- he is not consuming himself with a lot of stress. that's healthy for him. mr. cosby is just extremely proud that these people have been willing to stay here, these jurors, for this length of time to try to get the facts right. >> nbc10 has cameras inside and

outside the courthouse as we wait for the jury to make its decision, to make their next move here. nbc10's deanna durante brings us up to speed with today's developments. >> we cannot come to unanimous consensus on any of the counts. that's what the jury foreperson wrote on a yellow legal pad sending the note to judge stephen o'neill. out of the sight of the jury and the public cosby's lawyer asked the judge to declare a mistrial. that request denied. the jury was sent back to deliberate again. the judge reminded the jury they needed to agree on all or some of the charges. cosby is accused of drugging andrea constand and sexually assaulting her in his home. andrea constand sat feet away from the jury as they were told by the judge they needed to keep trying to reach a verdict. from the defense table, bill cosby offered no reaction. >> deanna durante reporting there. we continue our coverage of the

cosby trial with retired new jersey superior court judge michael donio. thank you for being here. we understand the team has been called into the chambers. what are some of the reasons? >> there might well be a communication from the jury. you have to remember, the sheriff gets the question, he brings it right to the judge. depending on now what that question may have been or whatever it said, usually you would call the lawyers back when you get some type of a communication from the jury. could be a juror problem. could be a note that says we have a verdict. could be a note that says we're deadlocked and the judge wants to discuss it with the lawyers. could be something initiated by one of the lawyers that says we want to speak with the judge, and one premise would be that maybe a defense lawyer says to the judge at this point, hey, it's been five, six hours, i want to renew my motion for a mistrial. you don't know, jim.

it's all speculation. if the judge calls them back, usually there is something going on. >> yeah. it could be a question of logistics as it relates to what do we want to do about dinner and letting them continue, those kinds of things. we don't know. >> could be anything like that. >> yep. all right. retired new jersey superior court judge michael donio. thank you for being here. we know you'll be with us as soon as we hear word of any decision by the panel. bill cosby's accuser, andrea constand, made quite a statement on social media today, the message she is sharing when we come back in just a few moments. for now, back to my co-anchor, jacqueline london in the studios. >> look forward to that, jim. to this, now. play ball is the rallying cry in washington following the attack on congressmen practicing for the annual charity baseball game. in a show of unity and strength. democrats and republicans will play in the game tonight.

nbc10's lauren mayk is live at nationals park for the game. lauren, this is a chance for real unity after yesterday's attack. >> jacqueline, not just on the field but off the field in the stands as well. i spoke with two congressmen from our area today who will be sitting together in the stands, a republican and a democrat. they are new to congress. this is their first full term and their districts are right near each other. i spoke with them about how they hope this show of unity goes beyond baseball. >> we're friends. >> reporter: they are from opposite sides of the political aisle. democrat dwight evans and republican brian fitzpatrick. but these two freshman members of congress are trying to take a stand by sitting together. >> like any other guys who would go to a baseball game, basketball game, football, hockey. >> it will be a special occasion tonight. we are trying to turn a tragedy into something positive. i hear there is a ton of charity money which is good.

>> reporter: the game one day after the attack on their colleagues. >> once we get past this. there will be a time and place for a discussion on the proper level of security. but more importantly, how do we get to the root cause of what's going on here and stop things like this from happening in the first place. >> reporter: talking about how to turn down the rhetoric. will this actually make a difference in the way people talk about politics, the way they act? >> i think you have to start somewhere. >> reporter: the two pennsylvania lawmakers who sit on the committee together with bold hopes of making a change. >> we're brand-new to the process. i think it is healthy to have that happen. when you have new blood, people want to do something different. >> reporter: for now, they'll go to a baseball game. >> we'll have a good time and root on our baseball team's. >> reporter: you going to root for the other team's team? >> this is a tie-breaking game, you know.

>> reporter: they are trying to have fun with it. a tie-breaking game, yeah. republicans' team, democrats' team, both at 39 wins. it is actually a tie-breaking game. we will see what happens tonight. but you know, here is something else that they're having a little bit of fun with today. somebody was passing these out. they are baseball cards for the members of congress. this one is for pat meehan, republican from our area in pennsylvania. and you know, i saw somebody walking around passing these out a little while ago. somebody walked up and wanted one. he said, well, are you okay with a democrat? she said, i don't care. so maybe, you know, the partisan politics out the window tonight. nbc10, lauren mayk. this latest act of violence causing many americans to ask how we can cool our heated and increasingly angry political discourse. nbc10 at independence hall today chatting with voters from all

over the country, many with concerns about how we talk about politics on social media and the growing partisanship online. we wanted to know how citizens can contribute to healthier political debate. >> there still is a place where decorum, manners, kindness, civility -- >> that's kind of the balance that we are trying to find as americans, those of us who are trying to stand up for dialogue, open discussion and to be the voice of reason. >> we need to keep the foundation of dialogue open. >> reporter: some studies show the country is more polarized than at any point since the civil war. president trump dismissing reports that he is being investigated for obstruction of justice. the president took to twitter this morning calling the investigation a witch hunt. his comments follow reports that special counsel robert mueller is looking into whether the president obstructed justice. it would be a significant sign that mueller's investigation is extending beyond questions of russi russian interference in last

year's election. to delaware. thousands of residents insured under the affordable care act could see a rate increase. high mark blue cross blue shield is taking a 33.5% increase. nearly 27,000 delawareans have insurance through the market place. the state of pennsylvania is taking steps to provide appropriate help to the mentally ill. today a judge approved a plan that will help ensure mentally ill defendants are not subjected to long jail stays before they're transferred to a treatment unit. today's action will provide 110 more treatment beds supplied by the state department of human services. new jersey is trying a new strategy to help drivers remember when to renew their licenses. governor chris christie signed a bill changing the expiration date on driver's licenses to the individual's birthday. until now the licenses expired

her personal twitter account showing her shooting a basketball in a hoop. text appears that reads "always follow through." seems the video may have been recorded inside the hallway of the courthouse behind me here. meanwhile, emotions running high outside the courthouse as well. listen. spectators, both those who support and who oppose bill cosby clashed on the courthouse steps earlier today. it came shortly after the judge told the jury to keep deliberating after they said they were deadlocked. that crowd has been growing here this afternoon as we await the word from the jury. jacqueline, that's the latest from norristown. back to you in the studio. governor christie prepares to leave office, and he is seeing historically low approval

ratings. 81% of new jersey voters surveyed in a recent quinnipiac poll said they disapprove of the job he is doing. that's the worst approval rating for any governor in any state in more than 20 years. disposing of drug needles and increasing security, all part of a plan to clean up the conrail train tracks in philadelphia's fair hill kensington neighborhood. today the city struck a deal with conrail in an effort to demolish an encampment that's become a public health hazard. some people have died there. >> the community really wants to take back their community. it's important for us to work together. >> conrail is stepping up to do its part after the city threatened to issue fines. in return, the city will provide drug treatment to users. philadelphiana know our see is something special. it's being recognized as a

national treasure. the title bestowed upon philadelphia today. the recognition will help to preserve our historic neighborhoods. a rain-soaked month of may followed by temperatures that heated up quickly. it is the perfect recipe for mosquitos to multiply. officials in camden county have a multi-strategy approach to prevent and protect against the mosquito threat. nbc10's south jersey reporter cydney long has more on the summer mosquito forecast. >> reporter: are you getting ready to brave the outdoors this summer? camping, back yard barbecue or a dip in the pool? you're not alone. >> mosquito season has begun. the commission is ready. >> reporter: camden county mosquito commission laid out the plan of attack for the summer of 2017. complete with 200,000 fathead minnow to be let go in ponds in four counties. their job, to eat larva and cut

down on mosquito breeding. for mailman anthony watley. >> i have a walking route. >> reporter: is it going to be a dangerous mosquito season? >> i am hoping it will not be a dangerous mosquito season because we are very proactive. >> reporter: west nile. dengue fever. encephalitis and zika can all be transmitted by mosquitos. zika is not prevalent here. with a wet and rainy may and temperatures that shot up, mosquitos got a head start. so did the county's line of defense with more fish. >> last year we started in july. this year we started in april. big difference. >> reporter: the reminder boils down to common sense. remove standing water from your yards and keep the bug spray and

repellant close by to prevent any bite or infection. >> you don't no what you have. i i am always worried about it. >> reporter: a county tracking system for residents reporting the highest mosquito complaints. cydney long, nbc10 news. a live picture right now from national park in washington, d.c. you can see all of the conquestioco congressmen huddled on the field getting ready to play in the charity baseball game one day after an attack. we just heard that congressman scalise is out of surgery after being shot yesterday. a live picture from national park. we'll keep you updated as the game gets under way. now, really great weather for baseball or any outdoor activities this evening. but the humidity will be going up a lot starting tomorrow.

and the rain chances will go up with it. 79 degrees in philadelphia. lots of sunshine. all across the area. we started off with clouds in parts of the area today. we end up with lots of sunshine. the ocean, 68 degrees, which is not bad for the middle of june. but the wind coming in off that ocean sure limits how warm it can get at the beaches. only 69 degrees in ocean city right now. 70 in cape may point. it won't be a whole lot warmer during the day tomorrow. but by the end of the weekend we'll go up a little bit as winds turn into the south and southwest. got to 83 today. after 85 yesterday. closer to 80 tomorrow. then it really goes up. and the humidity gets higher each day as well. by sunday, with 90 degrees and high humidity, it will probably feel like it's close to 95. pretty dry across the area now. it's been fairly dry for the month of june so far.

but that's going to be changing. this area, this line of storms, severe thunderstorms in western pennsylvania, is looking like it's going to be breaking up by the time it gets into the eastern half of the state. as you'll see here. but with moisture coming up from the south, we could see some light showers or sprinkles by the morning rush. the clouds are back with you, n -- with us. showers at times. hardly any sunshine. tomorrow evening, a chance of some stronger storms. then on saturday, clouds again. but it's warmer. and chance of some thunderstorms during the afternoon. most of the time it's not raining, and that's the story for saturday and sunday. here is sunday, starting off with some showers and some rain. eventually getting up into the 90-degree mark with, again, lots

i'm john clark from csn. eagles broke mini camp. due back at novacare in six weeks. carson wentz will be the quarterback for the first time at a training camp. last year he was the third stringer. carson has been working with the new receivers. he says his performance so far has been just okay. here is coach doug pederson today. >> he is really understanding our offense and our scheme. that's part of it too, making good choices and decisions with the ball. he has been sharp. it's exciting to watch him and just excited headed into camp. >> the nba draft is one week from tonight. the sixers have the third overall pick. they have four second-round picks. this guy could be a possibility for the sixers in the first round. kentucky shooting guard malik monk. can he shoot it. he think he would be a really good fit for the sixers,
