ago, the storm brought down this large branch. local power companies also reporting several thousand outages. and the windshield wiper are going there, a rainy commute for drivers,s in in delaware county, be careful on the roads too many. the first alert weather team is following these storms. let's get the latest from krystal klei. >> this is just really starting to come down now into philadelphia, montgomery county as well. we are under a severe thunderstorms watch across the entire area, but specifically in philadelphia, now under a warning, which means it is happening and it will continue to happen as it moves from west to east. let's take a closer look in, right now through philadelphia. you see just on the edge of the county line, these deep reds, yellows, oranges, that's the

heaviest rain that's falling, in some areas more than 2 inches per hour. it certainly is enough to dump a half inch to an inch of rain over the areas. in the right against the county line, but moving this direction. an update to your radar. that's where the heaviest rain is moving into south philly getting into some of the heavier lines. heavy downpours and this is another warned area. guests over 60 miles per hour possible, and that's moving into delaware.

we have learned the jury has been seated in the case of seth williams. we spoke with a former federal prosecutor. she says another the government has the challenge of proving a trade majority for services of gives, the defense has a challenge as well. and in their normal everyday lives, programs they're not getting streams of benefits of things like that from their friends. the defense has to show that, hey, just because they got something doesn't mean that's bribery. trial is expected to last three to four weeks. >> pennsylvania state police arrested a teen accused of robbing a wawa in chester heights twice. he came back on saturday and again had a gun, trying to get cash. he got it that time. he is now in custody in media.

perhaps some closure tonight for the family that went missing on the jersey shore. police discovered the body of the 16-year-old near jefferson avenue. she's one of two teens pulled under water by a rip current off the coast of atlantic city last week. the bod use of the other teen has not been found yet. tonight we have learned new details about the alleged attacker who ran down people outside a mosque in london. now in paris, another attack using a vehicle. nbc 10's jacqueline london is monitoring the latest from our news center. >> let's begin with the newest attack. right now investigators are combing over a car looking for any evidence. this video shows the car on fire. the man behind the attack died. who had been flagged for

views screen. this line has been holding together well. let's take a closer look now through philadelphia into more north philadelphia parts, and then down into now south jersey. we also are still seeing some lightning. not as much as before. really dropped down into street level here, just starting to get some of that heaviest rain, but it is moving this direction. we'll sea this the next couple mince like cinnamon hill we are getting reports of over 2 inches falling. we're. we are seeing a lot of rain. let's time this out.

camden seeing that heavy rain right now. and we're almost there currently. windsor and marlboro looking closer. this line will continue to stand. that's just one chunk. we go farther south, there's another area with a ton of lightning moving right now into delaware. you see almost hitting dover. over the bay and into south jersey, all right cutting through areas like middletown. smyrna at 5:30. and areas like -- right around 6:00, some of that heaviest rain should kip the bay. we're looking at these lines holding together. this is a powerful cold front moving through. in some areas temperatures have dropped 20 degrees. the pink that you see respect that's a severe thunderstorm

watch across the entice viewing zone, because anywhere could see that storm pop. but look at the area in yellow. right now in parts of philadelphia county and through to south jersey, we have that yellow shaded area under a warning. that means severe thunderstorms are happening form the same deal over parts of delaware, it's happening and will be happening as we progress through the next half hour to hour. let's look at the temperature gradient. as i mentioned, a huge difference. this temperature an hour ago was 89, now it's 73. look at millville, 83, and atlantic city the same. the cold air will continue moving along to the east. we'll pike a rebound tole, but it will feel a lot better, because that front will pass and leave us with drier air. here's the hour-by-hour forecast. we go from you 5:00 to 6:00.

take a look now at some of the latest video, as severe storms continue to make their way across our region. this was shot a short time ago along baltimore pike in media. this was a scene in bryn mawr at a tree felt looks roberts road. part of it landed right on top of a van. >> a live look at eighth and market, you see folks warricking with umbrellas, red roadways and drenching rains with a lot of lightning.

>> this is a system that's the sort of it all. we have live team coverage. krystal clei is with you. where are the storms right now? >> the good news is the heaviest stuff has started to move out. slight i delaware, and let's look at where that line is moving. you see the oranges, the reds, the yellows, really a perfect line that's up against where this cold front is. there's a difference, now in the upper 60s around 70 north, a huge difference. it's powerful. a closer look in and out of philadelphia. are see it's country of like gloucester township.

and trenting as well. as you go into the suburbs. it's still rain falling, just not nearly as heavy as the focused line is. so let's track some of this out. where will it be next? pemberton, nearly 6:00 in winslow, jackson, lakewood as well. this is moving quite quickly, about 45 miles per hour to the east. wee go far south. this is a long stretch of line, it seems on going down to the southwest of delaware, look at the lightning, 422 strikes just in this box. that's heading our way all the way to the southernmost parts of delaware. if we tike this out. areas around dover, close to 6:00, 6:10. morris hiv 6:30, and cape may seeing some of the heaviest

around 7:00. certainly -- the damaging wind with the highest threat, large hail, a slight possibility, and less likely an ice lighted tornado that we are not expecting at this point. more about the damage reports we have seen and where the storm is headed, coming up. we are already seeing damage. brandon hudson right now for a look at what's happening? you can see the chain saw right at the bottom of the three, and to kind of move this tree out of this front yard. it's like the tree fell toward the house, but it's tough to see how bad the damage is simply front -- or vantage point. we're told that no one was hurt,

now that storm is here krystal clei is back with us again. bring us up to speed. >> not long ago we had heavy rain over our building, now it's through south jersey. in fact the most lightning is falling over delaware. these are the problem zones. right through burlington, camden county those are the downpour location. pemberton down to gloucester. all seeing that heavy rain right now, a tighter view, so you know where your neighborhood is. tapper knackle very hef -- eastern township, heavy, but not

quite as strong. areas like cherry hill are -- where it's starting to move farther east let's time this on you. from trenting all the way down to -- as we push this forward, you see the timing here. and stafford at 6:45, so know we're all the way out to the shore. if you've been listening, we've been putting the timing about 7:00, 8:00, this is following what we were expecting, now from smyrna down to riverview, a lot of heavy, heavy rain, deep red likely in that two-plus inch range per hour. this is not staying here for a whole hour, but we could see over an inch of rain where we have the heaviest falling. zoom out again, because this is a long little chunk, push this through, violent at 6:00.

egg harbor township by 6:45. cape may, look for it 7:00 this evening. areas in pink are still under that thunderstorm watch the line of yellow you do see, these are areas under a severe thunderstorm warning. what we're looking at is in these areas that we may see some reports of severe thunderstorms. there's a report through 6:00. this is an area under a warning, but this will problem progress to the shore, so we are not out of the woods yet for at least half our viewer area. this front, very powerful. that's why it's causing the damage. 73 in philadelphia, it was 90 today officially. that is the high we hit. we have dropped almost 20 degrees because of this front. still in the 80s. they'll be dropping soon enough. so here's hourby-hour through
