derailment. >> we're seeing brandon right there live. can you hear us? if so, tell us what the latest is. >> yeah, jacqueline and jim. the bomb squad and the hazmat team is just further down easton road. you see that fire engine down the road. the house is maybe 30 to 40 yards on the other side of that fire engine. let's go to sky force 10 video that was shot not too long ago. we found out about this about 3:30 this afternoon. what we know weapons including guns and rifles inside the house. what we don't know yet is who those weapons belong to. who owns that house and what chemicals, what danger those chemicals pose to the people in this neighborhood. coming back live now, you can see traffic is open here on easton road. we have been told to keep a little further back. we do know that there will be other fire engines over in our area and we're hoping to grab a fire chief or police chief when they come over here to get more information. i'm brandon hudson, nbc 10 news. the other breaking news we

were telling you about. a train derailed in bucks county with several cars flipping over near a bridge and now fuel is leaking near a creek. this all happened in sellersville bucks county just before 3:00 this afternoon. >> nbc 10 deanna durante the first reporter on the scene and joining us live now with the latest. deanna? >> take a look behind me. we're on jessica lane here. this is a residential street. people here are used to slow moving trains coming through their backyards. what happened today was a sight no one could have predicted. >> i heard the train coming. i looked up and it was slowing down and then it went over. all happened. it happened very slowly for how big of a train it was. >> no loud noises. no crash. nothing that residents on jessica lane heard when a slow-moving train went off the rails. >> i was here when all the trucks came. >> did you hear anything, see anything? >> just all the fire trucks and police cars. >> reporter: the freight line

moved through sellersville at least once a day. today multiple cars flipped over. many of the cars carrying propane. three cars on their sides are refrigerated cars carrying butter. the problem is the diesel fuel keeping the cars cool is now leaking. >> up to 700 or 800 gallons perhaps 900 gallons of diesel fuel we do not believe anywhere near that amount has spilled. >> reporter: the police chief here says that that could be days, maybe even a week. you are looking live. firefighters guarding the scene. that is one of the rail cars that have flipped over on its side there. again, it could be about a week before it is completely cleaned up here. right now the only traffic restrictions here on jessica lane. the other main street through town have opened up within the hour. no injuries here. no evacuations. but the chief says that people may smell diesel throughout the night and that is because of that fuel that is slowly leaking from those refrigerated cars.

deanna durante, nbc 10 news. fraud, corruption and concealment. a federal prosecutor says that's at the heart of the case. jurors heard opening statements today and they're now on to their testimony from the first witness in the case against seth williams. nbc 10 lauren mayk is outside federal court this evening. what did seth williams' side have to say? >> well, jim, the defense says that the government is going to be able to prove that seth williams couldn't keep his finances straight and that he had a messy personal life. but not that he committed a crime. seth williams and his defense team getting their first chance to tell jurors their side of the story today at his corruption trial. inside federal court, today he's at the defense table as the federal prosecutor told jurors he was "constantly on the take." the accusations include bribery, involving a trip to mexico, airline tickets and cash. and nursing home fraud involving money for his mother's care.

the government claims he took thousands calling it their first witness and an employee of the nursing home operator who testified about efforts to get williams to turn over his mother's income. she said money from her account was spent from old navy and a school loan. she said williams told her it was her mother's issue and when she needed documentation, said he was busy running a city. but williams' defense says it was the nursing home that messed up losing his mom's admission file and failing to explain a confusing process. on the bribery charges, thomas burke told jurors they would not be able to prove a this for that relationship. williams exercised poor judgment and didn't commit a crime. it was a packed courtroom for opening statements today. seth williams sat with his defense team and while the prosecution was speaking, he often looked down or straight ahead at the exhibits they were showing on screens. but when his defense attorney was speaking today, he looked directly at him or at the jury.

at one time, nodding as his attorney motioned over to him to make a point. live in old city, i'm lauren mayk, nbc 10 news. tomorrow morning, a judge will decide whether or not to release the names of the jurors involved in the bill cosby sexual assault case. nbc news is one of the many media outlets pushing for that information, but not everyone wants it out there. prosecutors think releasing the jurors' names could impact cosby's retrial, specifically. it could make jury selection more difficult the next time around. it was just three days ago when the jury could not reach a decision on any of the three counts against cosby. and early this morning, cosby's accuser andrea constand shared this message with supporters on her twitter page. she thanked them for their outpouring of love, kindness and support and said she is ete eternally grateful for the messages she received in recent days. the national weather service confirms a tornado did, in fact, touch down in sussex county,

delaware, yesterday. the ef-0 tornado didn't harm anyone, but did leave behind some damage. first alert meteorologist krystal klei is joining us. a tornado also confirmed in burkes county. >> ef-0 which is the lowest rated tornado you can get. both did leave some damage behind. particularly in sussex county. we were able to get that warning out on air as soon as it popped up during the 6:00 p.m. newscast yesterday. 86 degrees in philadelphia and 85 in wilmington. and 82 in potstown. while temperatures may not seem that much different from what we saw yesterday, it feels way different than yesterday. we had no rain. just had some scattered clouds and a lot of sunshine outside and the big difference was when that cold front swept on off the shore, well, we also saw the humidity drop. as a result, today was not sticky, steamy. instead, it felt pretty nice outsi

outside. even with those 80 degree temperatures. tomorrow looking at a repeat. warm and mostly dry forecast. as we get into your thursday, an increase in humidity, but it's friday and saturday where we may see more storms, particularly saturday an interesting one because it could be from tropical storm cindy, which is way down in the caribbean right now. we'll talk more about that coming up in a few minutes. >> all right, krystal. tonight senator chris coons says the united states does not have a strategy for dealing with north korea after a student held prisoner in the country died yesterday. >> assault on otto warmbrier that led to his death. has been called out by a number of my colleagues, both republicans and democrats here in the senate today. as tantamount to murder of an american citizen. >> dozen understand why groups continued to take students on exchange programs to north korea. this afternoon, president trump tweeted the u.s. condemns the brutality of the north korean regime. in south jersey, the family

of a hit and run victim is speaking out as police in burlington township release new information about the case. it happened sunday night. police say the first car in the video knocked 53-year-old kim henry off her feet. a second car dragged her more than a block and neither driver stopped. here is that video. police do know a 1997 or '98 mazda protege pulled into a nearby car lot and watch as it tu turns off the headlights and the passenger and driver trade places. his heart is beyond broken. >> anybody knows anything, please, please go to the police and say something. kim, i love you so much. i miss you and i need you to come back. >> kim henry will need several surgeries, including skin graphs because of being dragged. new at 6:00. nbc 10 has learned of four different drug-related arrests at popular firefly music festival last week. in one case an illinois man was arrested for allegedly selling

an assortment of drugs including ecstasy and crystal meth. three other people from maryland were arrested on similar charges. a helping hand. how a new program will help some philadelphia residents pay their water bill on time. also going green. today a dozen local pennsylvania businesses were granted permits to grow and harvest legal marijuana. a look at the big winners next at 6:00. it takes a lot of people to make a good school day.

this is nbc 10 news. welcome back. from seed to sale. medical marijuana in pennsylvania about to get up and running. granted permits to grow and harvest marijuana. randy gyllenhaal live in north philadelphia. >> permits here in pennsylvania starting next friday. local dispensaries like this one here on north broad street can also learn their fate. it's all sparking a new industry here in pennsylvania. the green revolution well under way. the budding legal pot business taking 12 steps towards fruition. the department of health issuing a dozen permits today to local marijuana farms.

>> the culmination of a lot of work, a lot of time and a lot of money. >> reporter: bill rorric says the new grow operations will have just six months to get up and running. harvesting marijuana plants and transforming them into medicine. >> part of the facility is also going to have a lab where they will be turning the plant material into a pill, an oil, a cream. >> reporter: in our area, philadelphia missed out. permits were given to businesses in burkes county near reading including prime wellness of p.a., which already has facilities and franklin labs they'll open in a former pepsi bottling factory. >> franklin labs are excited. we had tremendous support from burkes county. >> reporter: advocates say this is progress for patients suffering from cancer, seizures and ptsd. >> we talked to many of these people and some of them have seen truly miraculous results and that's only the start. >> reporter: looming overhead

uncertainty from the feds. jeff sessions said he would like to crack down on medical pot. >> the department of justice has taken a much different stance towards medical marijuana under the trump administration. >> reporter: by next friday, proposed dispensaries like this one on north broad street in north philly will learn whether their applications are proposed and approved. by july the state says they hope to have a registries of doctors who can provide medical marijuana. the u.s. is welcoming dozens of new citizens this afternoon. nbc 10 here at the nationalization ceremony. 35 people were sworn in and became citizens. one of them tells us this moment was a long time coming. >> after being living in this country for over 20 years, i think it was about time. and it gives me the rights and responsibilities that i as a person living here already could have utilized.

>> this group came from 19 different countries. congratulations to them all. nbc 10 in south philadelphia where a new affordable housing complex will soon be available to seniors. today's groundbreaking at south 28 and pier street will marks the housing development. city of philadelphia offering new assistance to residents who struggle to pay their water bills. a new tiered assistance program offers customers a consistent income-based bill. applications for the new program will be available starting july 1st. and we have a great honor to share with you tonight. >> nbc 10 has earned a prestigious edward r. morrow award. spent six months delving into the heroin and opioid crisis and how it affects our communities. the need for addiction support and treatment programs. the annual awards are given by the radio television digital news association.

us. right along the shore, you might see cloud coverage and overall, no rain in our forecast for this evening or into tomorrow. instead, forecast highs tomorrow mirror images of today. we'll be at 83 at allentown and notice the icon there. we could see just a spot shower move by the region tomorrow afternoon. we'll get to that in a moment. 86 the temperature in robinsville. and 83. and those mid upper 80s throughout delaware and even along rehoboth beach. let's talk hour by hour. some rain that is moving well to the northwest of us right now. but as we go into tomorrow, this is going to start to get closer to us. so, here's 8:00 a.m. your morning commute is a dry one. not going to be tracking any activity over us. just a few spot clouds and some sunshine. then we go through the afternoon hours. here's 3:00. maybe some spot showers quickly move by. i actually think this is showing more rain than there will be at the surface because we're going

to be pretty dry at the surface and then continue from 3:00 through 10:00 at night. we're just talking spot shower possibility and otherwise mostly dry first day of summer. something we do have to watch, tropical storm cindy. the main threat is going to be for the heavy rain that is going to start moving inland with tropical storm cindy, which just officially formed as we go into the next several days. take a look at the path forecast for tropical storm cindy. i'm showing you this because it's not impacting us immediately, not for your wednesday or thursday, but as we go into the weekend. you see it is arching this direction. expect to pour some of that moisture our way. we get into the weekend forecast. take a look. first, we have the next few days where we see the temperatures starting to climb. 81 thursday and 91. there's your friday. some thunderstorms moving in. by saturday we can feel some of
