baby was stuck in the leg with a needle. officers found the nine month old girl unresponsive inside of a house on green lane. they gave her nracam which did revive her. we are told the man lived with the child but police have not we lab ratd on their relationship. this morning new video of this rescue. pam, tell us more about this. >> reporter: yeah. on june 30th he was in the right place at the right time. take a look at this body cam video. it is absolutely incredible. you're seeing a seven year veteran rescuing a man trapped in his vehicle as flames quickly

shot up from urpd the hoot of the car. he was on conscious and unresponsive. his legs were pinned. engine fluid was leaking all around him. a bystander who was also in the area stopped to help while the truck driver called 911 you can hear them screaming about the flaming from were starting to spread. here is what was going on in his head. >> that's the time i got the most concerned. i was like we are not going to be able to get this guy out. it will be bad. i think i realized it's his legs that are stuck. >> reporter: and this driver did not regain consciousness at the scene. he was transported to the

of it on the heavier side. it is kind of off and on. some times we get heavier rain coming in. tomorrow morning more showers. tomorrow afternoon more showers. we may dry out by friday night and then there's a possibility on saturday especially in northern suburbs of the showers returning there. it's much warmer an saturday. so the weekend will be seeing pretty nice weather especially on sunday. how much rain? as we go through tonight the area of the heaviest rain mostly in maryland coming into northern delaware. wilmington close to 2 inches. farther to the west there could be a couple of inches worth.

philadelphia a half inch to an inch. as you can see the reflection just like what the radar is showing now. a little more rain than in other parts of the area. as we go through the weekend best chance of any showers is in the lehigh valley. we can't rule it out we'll wait for them to update that forecast this afternoon. i'm not giving the all clear just yet for saturday. we'll give it for sunday. sunday is picture perfect comfortable temperatures, very low humidity just a spectacular day. it will be a welcomed relief. way out in the atlantic there's a tropical depression. it is a little early in the season for this. it not expected to strengthen a

delaware and south jersey right now. more coming in towards northern burkes county. our immediate concern is southern half of delaware and especially this area of heavy rain. it's just east of milford this is pretty heavy stuff. 2.5 inches of rain per hour a little bit of a swirl here. these are staying south and weakening a little bit. as we go through the afternoon the futurecast showing showers maybe even some thunderstorms up in northern delaware into the philadelphia area.

there is a fairly large area of rain, a lot of it on the steady side as opposed to thunderstorms. then tonight more rain and drizzle coming in. it's just not a pretty sight. the temperature right now 74 degrees. it's only 70 in coatsville. that wind all of the ocean plus clouds and rain will keep the temperature in the same ballpark as where it is now. into the 70s with showers and thunderstorms for much of the area. we'll see if it improves by the weekend coming up. hanscom air force base has been evacuated. massachusetts police tell us two vehicles tested positive for explosives at the gate of the facility. that's one of the vehicles. we are working to find out more

unresponsive. in a matter of seconds he discovered a way into the car and free it is drivers legs and pulls him out with the help of a bystander. he has had time to reflect on the rescue. he watched this video with us. when i asked him about this just enough time to make a difference. here is what he had to say. >> after the adrenaline wears off i was all pumped up. you realize like wow, we patrol like the whole city. it just so happened i was right there. if i wasn't there i mean, you know, i don't think he would have made it. by the time the fire department did show up almost the entire car was engulfed.
