through tlooded roads. because the water is very powerful. we also were veeing a big increase in the rainfall in the philadelphia area. here's chester county. back to the west and some of that delaware rain is coming up too. it's going to be a very wet night. there's more coming in from the west. you can also see some of it is moving this way and some this way. it's kind of a complicated pattern. and it is going to continue during the night tonight. here's the futurecast. every couple hours you can see more waves of heavy rain coming through. it's not a solid area of heavy rain. it's not widespread flooding or anything, but it's definitely a a soggy night. it's cool too. only 73 degrees right now. it will warm up and the rain

rolled over her leg prick ed bya hypodermic needle. she was suffering from an overdose and police say a 35-year-old man inside this house was arrested. >> he's a great father. >> friends of the suspect identify ied as. steven welsh says it comes a as a complete surprise. >> he's always with his daughter and always took care of her. >> paramedics had to give her a dose of nor narcan, a drug usually used to treat adults. the american academy of pediatrics says narcan should only be given to young children in small doses. in this case, paramedics were able to bring the baby back tr the brink. she was taken to chestnut hill hospital in stable condition. >> that's crazy. i don't know what to say. >> neighbors here say they have watched as heroin slowly consumed parts of their community, but they say this is a shocking development. >> a lot of people are oding up here. it's a shame.

a bus. two tourists were killed along with the bus driver. a new law means pennsylvania students studying for a clear in technology or another trade no longer have to take the keystone exams. passing the statewide academic test will be a graduation requirement starting in the 2018-2019 school year. under a bill signed by the governor, students will be able to take trade exams instead to fulfill the requirement. new jersey has approved allowing all boys and all girls charter schools in the state. there's already an all boys and is all girls school in newark. hay opposed all boys chart er schools in atlantic city and pather sob. new tech jobs coming. ey intuitive announced they are expanding their facility.

you can see this area of heavy rain in northern delaware. there was some heavy rain in southern delaware earlier today. now that has shifted north. this is a very large area of significant rain. we have measured or at least radar measured the most intense area 2.5 inches per hour. it's kind of broadened a little bit. it's not quite as concentrated. there's a flash flood warning for that area. there's more moyisture to the west. we're not about to be done with this thing. 4 inches of rain. we'll let you know about any other flood warnings. we're seeing more rain during the night tonight. spreading across the whole area.

here comes more for the morning rush. especially in pennsylvania. that's going to be the case tomorrow. you can see some of the heavier rain and maybe even thunderstorms because we're going to get warm tomorrow. it will be a a warm, sticky rain. we have showers coming in. that may not be the end of it. >> we got that transition day on saturday. we will have clouds in place for the upper suburbs and lehigh valley. as we start our saturday morning then we're going to be watching and waiting as sk we could see spotty showers moving this late morning through the afternoon hours. then across the entire area by evening. so these are going to be spotty showers that move through.

news. here's a look at some of the other stories we're following county by county at 4:00. police found a stash of drugs while checking out a car outside the franklin township youth soccer complex. the car was parked outside the complex wednesday morning. tyler fuller was behind the wheel. officers say fuller had 53 bags of heroin, three bags of marijuana and a bag of crack cocaine. students at stockton university will have to pay more for their education next year. the school is raising tuition by 2.5%, which is about $300 per year. it will pay for the new campus in atlantic city. >> in new castle county, car n owners are having to make repairs after a series of tire slashings. ten car hs their tires slashed. it happened some time between late sunday and early monday.
