i'm rosemary connors. let's start with the weekend weather as it will warm up and steam up today. here is a live look over the philadelphia museum of art. a place where it might not be a bad day to get relief from the heat. check out some exhibits in the air conditioning. we may see some spotty showers, that's what krystal klei is cracking for us. >> yeah, you're right. it's july, the rain is not gone, but it does look like a better forecast than what we've seen the last couple of days. we will be more dry over your weekend. so maybe you want to go to the shore. right now we have scattered clouds overhead and you see this little spot shower that is trying to make its way into the lehigh valley. allentown, you might get a few sprinkles, but nothing heavy across our region. and i really don't think that there will be much heavy rain at all through the afternoon hours. although there will be more showers to pop up. right now temperatures weert we're at 72 in philadelphia, 70

in allentown, mt. pocono 64 and 67 in pottstown. pretty good start to our morning. if you want to do a little workout, now is the time to do it because we get hot this afternoon. some of us in the 90s and we are humid which means the heat index where it feels on our skin a little hotter that it actually is. coming up, we'll take a closer look at what sunday will be, as well. including meetings with the leaders of japan and china. but one of the first things was this meeting inside the g-20 to high complete female entrepreneurs in developing countries. he was joined by his daughter ivanka and bettgerman prime minr angela merkel. earlier he also sat down with writ a british prime minister theresa may. but the most attention is on that long awaited handshake between trump and putin. and one development, a cease-fire in syria that both sides agreed organization but you still disagreement on how to handle north korea and conflicting views on on whether russia interfere offed in american democracy. trump pressed putin on the issue, but russian officials say that trump accepted putin's denial. >> we've had some very, very good talks. we'll have a talk now. and obviously that will

continue. but we look forward to a lot of very positive things happening for russia, for the united states, and for everyone concerned. >> and looking ahead to the rest of his schedule, president trump will meet with those leaders from japan and china and we expect him back on american soil sometime this evening. >> are thanks, randy. events unfolding at the g-20 will be focus of discussion on "meet the press" tomorrow morning. chuck todd will have interviews with john brennan and lindsey graham. is that tomorrow at 10:30. we have bringing news that we're following out of philadelphia's bridesburg neighborhood. a man murdered and his body set on fire. philadelphia police were called to orthodox street for the report of the fire. that is when they discovered the man's body. they say he was shot multiple times before he was set on fire. there are no suspects, no word

on a motive. police are investigating. we'll bring you more information as we get it. new this morning, three men are in the hospital following a shooting in philadelphia's strawberry mansion neighborhood. police were called here around 12:30 this morning, but didn't find the victims. instead officers were called to temple hospital where the victims showed up. two teens and a 23-year-old man were dropped off by a driver who didn't stick around. there are no arrests in the case. two people are in the hospital with serious injuries after their car crashed in pennsauken. police tell us that the driver lost control and hit this telephone pole on u.s. 130. the pole snapped in half. the victims went to cooper trauma. there are some traffic delays in this area around route 130, so keep that in mind as you are heading out. did a social media dispute lead to a teenager's murder? that is what police in norristown are investigating as the family of the 16 #-year-old

are mourning his death. police tell us somebody shot two teens on chain street thursday night, one teen survived, the victim jordan scott did not. last night his family put up balloons, photos and candles at the site of the killing. detectives are not commenting on a possible motive, but a family friend tells us he believes scott was possibly targeted following a fight on social media. >> we just want them to pay for what will he did through the eyes of the law. >> the district attorney's office tells us that they are working on finding witnesses and they expect to release more information about the case next week. in other news this morning, philadelphia police tell us that this video shows the man who tossed a noose into a tree in the graduate hospital neighborhood. according to investigators, the man on the left in this video wearing the hat threw the noose just moments before he appeared

in this video with the other man. police are looking to talk to both of them. here is a picture of that noose. it was spotted yesterday morning at 18th and lumbard streets. this is just one week after an employee at the u.s. mint reportedly left a noose on the chair of an african-american co-worker. 7:07. an unusual sight in the backyard out west. take a look, a pick jumup trucka swimming pool. we'll tell you how it got here about that. and a big change to south street. just ahead, why it could be a whole lot harder to find a parking spot at night. and right now we are dry across almost the entire region aside from a spot shower to our north. and today we will remain mostly dry. here is a live view along ocean city. i expect later today it will be busy. it only takes a second for an everyday item

let's look live outside. really nice shots out there. scattered clouds overhead. good deal of sunshine and temperatures that are for the most part approaching the low 70s. so we're 69 in new jersey right now and 66 in the suburbs. 72 in philadelphia. 70 now in the lehigh valley. in delaware, 69. so what we will see are in and out cloud coverage and spotty showers by the afternoon.

a cold front is approaching from the north. it won't really cool us down too terribly much, but just enough to fire off a couple showers, a spot thunderstorm by later today. let's talk temperatures. 78 at 10:00 a.m., you see the mid-80s around 2:00 p.m. i think our high in philadelphia will be near 90 degrees. it may feel a degree or two warmer because we will still be humid before the cold front passes. in the suburbs, 83. same deal in the lehigh valley with a spot shower in the afternoon and evening. 80 by right around 6:00. 85 in delaware at 2:00. same for new jersey and along the shore mid-80s as well. even better forecast in store for your sunday. we'll look at that coming up. a san diego family not going to be able to use their pool for a while. a truck crashed into it.

you've been on on south street on a friday or saturday, you know it's tough to find a park spot and now it will get more difficult because between midnight and 3:00 a.m. on on weekends, cars will not be allowed to park on south street. it will be from the area of second to sixth. the pilot program is in effect every friday and saturday and sunday through the fall. the restriction will help traffic to flow a little bit better. it gets jammed up because you're stopped at all the stop lights. the extra lane is for police and emergency vehicles. if you don't move, you will get a ticket and your car will be towed. some people tell us it is hard enough to park in south philly and this will make it worse. >> do you think it is in-vee inconvenie inconvenient? >> to a certain extent because everybody is looking for a parking spot. >> i feel bad for people who

have to drive down here. >> others tell us it will help to get traffic moving. a second phase of the pilot program will go into effect in two week. shifting meter parking times to 11:00 a.m. through midnight. more than a million people suffering from a rare disease are now to getting help. governor tom wolf signed a bill yesterday to create a rare disease advisory council. the governor says patients with rare or unique diseases often can't find the help or services they need to get the best care. the council will be made up of members from the health human services and education departments as well as the insurance commissioner along with medical experts and members of the public. businesses down the shore are hoping that this weekend will be as successful as last weekend. they tell us that the extra long holiday weekend really drove you sales 25% compared to previous july 4th holidays. >> seems like it started thursday and continued right through the fourth of july and even the days following.

air. and grab the umbrella what you in the afternoon we have a chance of spotty showers rolling by. good news is they are short lived, so don't cancel your plans outside. you don't need to stay indoors. just have the heads up. you may experience a little shower pass over this afternoon. in our temperatures across the man, we're mostly right near 70. we're at 70 lehigh valley and 72 in philadelphia. also now in the low 70s along the jersey shore. some 60s still for south jersey and delaware through the subu s suburbs. in philadelphia neighborhoods, most of us right near 70 as well. 72 in parkwood and port richmond at 73. but later today, some of the numbers will be in the 90s. this is a wide view and we have a cold front slicing through the state of pennsylvania this morning. we have thunderstorm action in new york. otherwise just a few spot showers that are clipping our viewing area.

this is right now moving out of burkes county and into lehigh county and just into north hamp ton. allentown a little sprinkle expected in the next 30 minutes or so. otherwise really no rain for us to track across the rest of our region. forecast high temperatures 89 in somerton, 88 for lansdale. allen town at 86. voorhees 88. and you even see mid to upper 80s along the jersey shore with the spot shower later in the day. smeyrna is high of 89. so like i mentioned, right now an isolated shower at best out there and that continues through the morning hours. but it's in the afternoon through the early evening, this is at 5:30, that we may see some of the more organized rain move through. but this is spotty in nature as well. and it mostly starts to clear out by around 8:30 tonight. we'll talk more about the rainy

and he will have are entintervi with john brennan and lindsey graham. and now to the breaking news out of bridesburg. a man was murdered here, his body set on fire. here's what we know. philly police were called to orthodox street here for the report of the fire. when they got there, they discovered the man's body. they say he was shot multiple times. they are continuing to investigate and we will continue to bring you new information as soon as we have it. chris christie is still feeling the burn nearly a week after his trip to a state beach that was shut down to the public. governor christie is now face anxious ethics complaint and the threat of being bumped from his beach front home. the complaint was filed by an attorney in western new york. it accuses governor christie of abusing his office by lounging on the beach that was close to the public during the state government shutdown.
