nbc 10 breaking news. >> that breaking news tonight, a 2-year-old girl falls out of a second-story window as her mother was in the next room. right now, that little girl's at children's hospital of philadelphia. after falling out of the second-story window of her home. nbc 10 i's aundrea cline-thomass live outside the hospital. how is she doing right now? >> reporter: denise, according to police, the 2-year-old is in stable condition here at c.h.o.p. she fell auout of the second flr bedroom window onto concrete. we went to her house in the 1800 block of north markoe street. investigators are investigating what happened. police say the mother was in the front bedroom and the 2-year-old was playing alone in a back bedroom. and somehow the child fell out of an open window. the mother heard screams and rushed to the room, that's when she found out what happened. >> our detectives, we'll look

into this, right now it doesn't appear of signs of foul play but that's for our dengtive detect look into. >> reporter: again, at this moment, it seems like this is an unfortunate accident. again, the 2-year-old is in stable condition. reporting live outside of c.h.o.p., aundrea kprrkscline-t nbc 10 news. tonight a 6-year-old girl is dead after drowning in a pool at the jersey shore. wildwood's police say the girl was swimming this afternoon at the nantucket inn and suites in wild wood on ocean avenue. she ended up in the deep end of the pool without her family noticing. they found her just a few minutes later, but she died at the hospital. shot and burned. philadelphia police are trying to figure out what happened to a man whose charred remains were found near a trash dump and who he is. officers found the victim on orthodox street in bridesburg after responding to a report of a fire around 5:00 this morning. investigators say the man had been shot up to eight times,

doused in accelerant, and set on fire. authorities also believe the victim was bound before he was killed. >> sounds like something you'd see with -- on one of those monster movies or something. that's crazy. >> we're told police found the pennsylvania i.d. next to the body, but they aren't sure if it belongs to the victim. turning now to our first alert weather, a nice night for eating and having a few drinks outside. nbc 10 here on main street in manayunk where people are out and about. nbc 10 first alert meteorologist erika martin is here with your most accurate forecast. a nice day today, maybe even nicer tomorrow? >> that's right. more sunshine in the forecast. nice sunny sunday in the forecast for tomorrow. that, and conditions right now are currently in the 70s for coatesville. >> okay. we'll try to get back to erika

in a bit, having a few mike problems. chester county residents fear their water is contaminated because of the construction of a natural gas pipeline. sun yn oco suspended work on the pron project this week after residents complained about mercury water. the natural gas pipeline starts in western pennsylvania and crosses through chester county ending in marcus hook, delaware county. now, construction resumed here in exton today. you can see the project is happening in the middle of a neighborhood. many living here are fighting the project and want more information about the safety of the work that's going on just feet from their homes and children. >> it just takes a matter of seconds or minutes for a leak to happen and something explosive to come in contact with it and then disaster. >> as for the water issue, sunoco is waiting for testify resu test results to see whether there's any contamination.

in the meanwhitime they're providing bottled water, filtration systems or hotel accommodations. tonight one man is dead after crashing his motorcycle on the ben franklin parkway. police say it anned after 3:00 near 17th street. the 27-year-old crashed into the back of a truck and missay he was doing wheelies at the time of the crash. he was taken to the hospital and died a short time later. family and friends gathered for a prayer service for a haverford township man at the center of an immigration battle. tonight loved ones prayed for jonathan polasios at this service of central presbyterian church in norristown. he was detained by immigration officials back in may. he came to this country for honduras at the age of 16 and is now married to a u.s. citizen. but the 27-year-old missed a court appearance which led authorities to take him into custody. right now, he is free on bail. his wife, lily, says they have a court date set for next month.

the g2 s0 summit is over. tonight president trump is back in washington after his second trip abroad since taking office. the president met with several world leaders during the trip, but it was his sit-down with russian president vladimir putin that grabbed the world spotlight. the two talked for more than two hours, and today, putin confirmed he was questioned repeatedly by president trump about russian hacking in the 2016 election. >> translator: he asked me questions, i answered. i clarified and i think that he was satisfied with my answers. >> president trump will return to europe next week traveling to paris at the invitation of the french president for bastille day ceremonies. take a look at this, we have new pictures tonight of a crash involving a septa train and truck in montgomery county. the regional rail train hit the truck in sheltcheltenham yester. the truck was on the tracks when

it was sideswiped by the train. no one was in the truck when it was struck. in philadelphia tonight the red cross is helping eight people who now have to find a new place to live. their building on rockland street started crumbling yesterday from the inside out. now, part of the building collapsed. the entire building now conde condemned. next on nbc 10 news at 11:00, dueling rallies. protesters clash over decisions to remove a controversial statue. plus the reminder of a nationwide crisis. why one philadelphia neighborhood is hanging up these pompoms in front of their homes. joel embiid is a few dollars lighter. plus the newer sixer is $23 million heavier. we'll hear from j.j. redick. plus markelle fultz makes it official with philadelphia. we'll have the latest news regarding the sixers' number one overall pick. that's next.

check now on the forecast with nbc 10 first alert meteorologist erika martin. les talk about the sunny sunday. >> a nice sunny forecast on sunday. lots of 60s and 70s. allentown, 83 today. philadelphia, 87 was your high. currently at 78 degrees. atlantic city, you topped out at 89 degrees. currently seeing 7 6 degrees. so let's go ahead and take a look at the shore forecast for tomorrow. very lovely day to say the least. again, lots of sunshine in the forecast for everybody across the entire delaware valley. but let's focus on the beach forecast. high temperatures for atlantic city tomorrow, expected to be 84 degrees. ocean city, low 80s for you. it looks like avalon will see 81 degrees. plenty of sunshine. wildwood, 82 is your expected high temperature. lewis, 82. overall, a really nice sunday. the forecast, i'd say, be sure you plan outdoor activities.

denise, back to you. >> all right, erika, thank you. going to love this story, yesterday took a surprising turn for an uber driver in new castle county. he picked up this couple on i-95 after they got a flat tire. and during the ride, he found out he was driving them to get eloped. >> i'm taking them back for free as my wedding gift. i got to see these two get married so it's legit. >> it is legit and thumbs up on that. after thor e er iceremony he br them back to their car on i-95 to help them fix their flat tire. in south philadelphia tonight, a reminder of the opioid epidemic. these brown and white pompoms are hanging on stoops of more than 50 homes. they're supposed to represent anyone who has lost a loved one to heroin or opioids. now, a restaurant owner started the brown and white campaign after his son died from an overdose back in march. next on nbc 10 news, history or hatred? hundreds of people go toe to toe

in the south, a debate over removing confederate war monuments was highlighted today with an angry confrontation. members of the ku klux klan and counterprotesters clashed in charlottesville, virginia. the kkk members are fighting back against the city ordered to take down a statue of robert e. lee, a general who led the confederate army. >> time to take that monument down. >> it's a monument of peace.

>> the virginia decision follows the new orleans removal of a general lee statue back in may. the push to remove celebratory symbols of the civil war south heated up a couple years ago when nine african-americans were murder in a south carolina church. we're following a developing story out of venezuela, that's where the country's most well-known political prisoner is now out of prison. leopoldo lopez was transferred to house arrest today. he was sentenced to 13 years in prison back in 2015 for inciting violent protests. the white house praised the move today, but says his house arrest is still unacceptable. a young tennis fan from chester county was sought out by a player after being robbed of a sweaty souvenir at wimbledon. american tennis pro jack sock just won his match tuesday when a young fan appeared to shout out for his towel. but the 14-year-old lost the towel tug-of-war when a man ripped it from his hands.

well, yesterday, sock recognized peter woodville from stra ford who was watching his doubles match. he picked him out of the crowd, apologized then personally gave him a towel. well, tonight, nfl rookie and camden native haason reddick is giving back to the community. reddick hosted the camden health and athletic association's football skills and drills minicamp. more than 100 kids came out to take part in the minicamp at camden high school. reddick, a grad of haddon heights high school, and temple university, says it's good to come back home during the offseason and set an example for the kids. >> possible to do something else than, you know, be somebody that's running in street, constantly getting in trouble with law enforcement, you know, that if they stay in school, you know, if they work hard to what they want to do and what they want to be in life, they can achieve it. >> reddick was picked 13th overall in this year's nfl draft by the arizona cardinals.

degrees. and let's head over to new jersey and let's take a look at these current temperatures. washington township, 73 degrees. vor heez 75. pemberton currently at 67. princeton currently at 65 degrees. right now, satellite and radar image picking up on rain, not making it to the ground right now, in fact, we're seeing mid, upper level moisture. a wider perspective shows us this area of high pressure that's really going to be our weather maker for tomorrow so get ready for plenty of sunshine for everybody in our viewing area. out the door forecast at 2:00 a.m., we are seeing mostly clear to clear skies for tonight. 73 degrees. 68 degrees at 6:00 a.m. sunshine, to say the least. at 10:00 a.m., 75. definitely a great start for the day. p.a. suburbs, also seeing really nice conditions tomorrow. 63 degrees at 6:00 a.m. 74 at 10:00 a.m. and we're also seeing lots of 60s and 70s for the lehigh

valley. 10:00 a.m., 72 degrees with lots of sunshine in the forecast. new jersey, seeing 70 at 2:00 a.m., 66 at 6:00 a.m., and 75 at 10:00 a.m. keep in mind, we have the area of high pressure that's keeping everything high and dry. lots of sunshine for tomorrow. so definitely get ready for those outdoor activities but be sure you do have plenty of sunscreen because we do have that uv index at very high for tomorrow. jersey shore, lovely day all around. your ten-day forecast, looks like this, we're seeing highs topping out at 86 degrees in philadelphia. lots of sunshine for tomorrow. overnight lows tonight, mainly in the 60s and 70s. a few 50s especially farther north and west. monday, notice here i do have the word, chance, in the forecast. highs topping out in the upper 80s. notice we'reunshine. i think we'll pick up a couple scattered showers later in the day. high for tuesday, the94 degrees. expecting rounds of showers and thunderstorms. wednesday, mostly cloudy sky, high of 91 degrees.
