we learned how investigators are building their case against a delaware county man accused of shooting a teen in the head last month. >> reporter: we learned investigators have filed two separate search warrants looking for more information in the case. this is one filed on friday. it goes after a local pizza restaurant. their video surveillance equipment. we learned that investigators are trying to build a case as to what he did in the moments after that shooting. workers did not want to talk to us about why police investigating the murder of 18-year-old bianca roberson showed up here. they had learned her suspected killer david desper had been at the pizza shop sometime after the shooting. the warrant does not give specific dates and times.

and in the delaware county neighborhood where the red pickup was found nbc 10 learned a search warrant was executed here. specifics were not released but cameras did spot three security cameras outside the house. the one where police say his pickup truck was found. we tried to ask him about the truck and the search warrant and he drove off without giving us a comment. we reached out to multiple sources. they tell us the video surveillance of the house could be key into figuring out how the pickup was left on the street. delaware county nbc 10 news. to the weather. a live look outside at philadelphia's city hall. warm evening. things are going to change. we have a first alert for severe weather heading our way tomorrow. tammie souza is here with what we can expect. >> we have the first alert issued for severe storms tomorrow.

we are in the risk of severe storms. this is for the entire area of pennsylvania, new jersey and delaware except right on the beaches because we are expecting to see a sea breeze that will neutralize the severity. this is widely scattered. this is not a giant line. it is sometime between 2:00 in the afternoon tomorrow and 8:00 tomorrow evening that we see storms popping up as a cold front approaches. this will be localized wind damage if it turns severe. if the storm turns severe, brief heavy down pours. we could see very heavy rain out of these in a very quick period of time. we are going to see a feels like between 95 and 100 tomorrow. so we are almost going to get to advisory criteria. we will see the start of what could likely be a three-day heat wave. we are looking at spotty showers in northern new jersey. not a whole lot across our area. we had a few showers that have died out. all of that has moved off to the north and east. we are looking at a line of very strong storms out of the upper

midwest. damaging storms in places like chicago. that is what this line of storms is a remnant of. it will die off tonight and reenergize tomorrow. here is what we are looking at. main body of the storm system coming towards us and looking at this cold front as it sags towards us. you see storms beginning to pop up. when they do any of these storms potentially could turn severe for very heavy rain, intense lightning and, of course, the damaging winds that 345i be associated with some of these storms. highs tomorrow pretty much all going to be in the 90s with a feels like between 95 and 100 except the jersey shore which will be 84. you can expect the possibility of a shower or thunderstorm in your neighborhood and it could be severe. when i come back we will talk about potentially an even hotter day in the week and more severe weather ahead. hot on the trail. there are new leads in the extensive search for four missing young men in bucks

county. sky force 10 is live at the bull dozer helping in that search. you are looking at what appears to be a metal detector over a particular spot. about a dozen or so people on that scene. the fbi joined the search this afternoon focussing on a prime location. one man disappeared last wednesday. three others on friday. they range in age from 19 to 22. >> this investigation leads are incredibly hot. they are very fruitful. we are making great progress but there is so much more work to do. i have a feeling. i wish i didn't. i have a feeling we are going to be meeting like this for a few days. >> foul play is believed to be the reason why these men are missing. we will be joined live at 6:00 with what she has learned from people in the neighborhood. new jersey governor chris

christie may be heading from state house to radio booth. the governor auditioned for a job at a sports radio station. >> christie filled in on sports radio talk show. christie could be the replacement. all comes after the july 4 debacle and the first swing on the show today was about beach gate. >> governor christie kind enough to be in the studio, not the beach. >> that's nice. >> you make jokes about the beach but then last week when you and your wife and your son wanted to come down you were looking -- >> that's absolutely true. >> beach gate sparked outrage across the garden state over the holiday weekend. christie and family seen on the sand while the state park was closed to everyone else because of the government shutdown. one is introducing legislation that closes the governor's house

at island beach during any future government shutdowns. that's not all. an ethics complaint was filed by an attorney accusing christie of abusing his office by lounging on a state beach that was shut down to everyone else. a poll found christie's approval rating remains at all-time low of just 15%. however, the numbers virtually the same as the poll taken last month. in the breaking news center, i'm jim rosenfield, nbc 10 news. a burglar caught on camera using a stone to smash his way into dunkin' donuts. check it out. you can see the glass just shatter. the man walks into the store last thursday police say he took two cash registers and got away. a driver accused in a hit-and-run crash with a school bus facing new charges tonight. investigators say they determined james urven was going about 70 miles per hour before

the crash back in may. so now they are charging him with assault on top of charges he was already facing. 14 students and the bus driver were hurt in the crash. driving drunk with her 2-year-old son in the car. those were allegations the woman faces. police say kristol zimmerman caused the crash. failed field sobriety test, was arrested and released on bail. no one was injured in that crash. investigators are looking for the cause of a fire at a railroad yard in south philadelphia. nbc 10 after a fire broke out inside a tractor-trailer around midnight. flames spread to other trailers before crews arrived and put them out. no one was hurt. two cases of arson under investigation along the jersey shore. this morning ocean county police and firefighters found a car on fire on miller road in lake wood township. a short time later they found a

second car on fire. no one was injured in either case. the search continues for the driver who hit a man in agz motorized wheelchair and then took off from the scene. the accident happened friday night. a dark colored suv struck the man. it happened as the suv approached an intersection on east lee boulevard. the man in the wheelchair is recovering from serious injuries. six people in chester county including two state troopers and three emergency responders were taken to the hospital after being exposed to an unknown substance. police were called to a home just before 11:00 last night for a domestic dispute when the troopers ended up showing up they immediately got sick and called an ambulance. three members of the ems team got sick as a result. haz-mat was called out. investigators are working to figure out what the substance was. a military chopper made an emergency landing in maryland this morning.

the chopper based at joint base andrews landed after a maintenance light came on while in flight. the chopper was in the middle of a training mission. president trump's son donald jr. has hired a lawyer after he agreed to meet with senate intelligence committee about a meeting he had with a russian lawyer. he met with a woman who turned out to be a kremlin connected lawyer. the woman allegedly told him she had information to help his father's presidential campaign. the panel is scheduled to begin first interviews with trump campaign officials. the panel is looking into alleged russian meddling in the 2016 election. the president is backing off his own idea to form a cyber security unit with vladimir putin. after his meeting at the g-20 summit president trump said he wanted to move beyond the election interference controversy. he proposed a partnership with putin on cyber security.

light on this veterans mystery. >> we know the district attorney's office is involved in all of this. they are investigating. >> the d.a.'s office set up a hotline seeking tips in the case. the type of tips that they are looking for is really what makes this story so interesting. >> a story you have to catch tonight at 11:00. today we are getting a closer look at what the future holds financially for the city of philadelphia. today city comp troler approved the city's five year budget but it came with a couple of warnings. the budget doesn't leave room to help close the school district's deficit. by 2020 the deficit is expected to increase from 40 to $243 million. he said the beverage tax projections are overly optimistic. new castle county says it is trying to be more honest and transparent with residents. launched a new website for residents who want to know more about the county government and how it operates.

county government officials say the website will help the county run more fiefficiently. an army infantryman charged with murders of his wife and a police officer. a call of shots fired. investigators say davis was shot with a single bullet as he approached the home. two women were found shot inside, one of them died. army infantryman justin walters surrendered and faces murder charges. massive orange flames pouring out of a popular market in london. more than 70 firefighters put out the blaze. a different part of the market was destroyed by a fire in 2008. it took several months to rebuild. this is the second devastating fire that london has seen in the past month. less than four weeks ago a fast spreading blaze engulfed the

high rise apartment building. at least 80 people died. and from fire to this. rain cascading down the steps of subway stations in paris forcing at least 20 to close. 1,700 calls after the storm swept through the city. a lot of rain. unbelievable video. nbc 10 chief meteorologist tammie souza joins us. >> you are tracking storms for tomorrow. >> we are tracking storms for tomorrow. you are absolutely right. we could see brief heavy down pours but we are not expecting flooding like that. just some heavy summer down pours possibly. we have a first alert issued for severe weather. tonight will be warm and muggy with an isolated shower. you can feel the atmosphere beginning to churn. when you wake up tomorrow it will be hot and humid. we will see highs that are going

to be pretty much anywhere in the low to mid 90 with a feels like that could be from 95 to 100. we have a chance of severe storms, damaging wind, heavy rain and lightning. those are the biggest threats for us. every bit of the greater philadelphia area except the beaches and that is because we will see a little breeze coming in off the ocean to sort of under cut it. this green here denotes marginal risk for severe weather. high is the top here. nonsevere would be bottom. we are just above the bottom. we are not here in the middle where they have been dealing with storms in the midwest. anything can produce damaging winds. you can have small hail and heavy rain and intense lightning. you see the entire area is included in all of that. we are looking at spotty showers and storms that are just off to the west of new york. we are looking at that in parts of north jersey. for us pretty much quiet. we have seen showers move through pennsylvania suburb.

everything else is quiet. not the case off to the west. severe storms with tornado warnings. you have this line coming through ohio. this is the storm system that has produced this that will produce another line of storms by tomorrow. what happens is they die off overnight and regenerate the next day. here comes the storm system. you can see about 4:00 in the morning there are spotty showers that could be across perhaps lehigh county. i'm not sure they will make it into the pennsylvania suburbs. as the front drops southward you will see these storms popping up across philadelphia. they will be widely scattered. not everybody will get a shower and storm. any storm that pops up could potentially turn severe. then by wednesday we are sort of quiet. what happens this front lifts back north. we get round two of what could be stronger storms and more oppressive conditions.

hour by hour you can see 4:00 in the morning spotty showers, maybe pennsylvania suburbs. it's tomorrow in the afternoon we see these spotty storms, stronger storms pop up across the area. they are gone by tomorrow night. wednesday is sort of a hot day but a less humid day. that is our in between day. here is our feels like forecast. so today it was between nice and uncomfortable. tomorrow right up there between steamy and oppressive. we drop back to uncomfortable on wednesday. and then we are almost up to dangerous by the time to thursday. we have feels like temperatures on thursday that could exceed 105 degrees. that's the heat index. 95 tomorrow. allen town 88. we are going to be looking at robinsville at 91. 94 tomorrow across the area. 92 on wednesday. hot there. chance of stronger storms and

meteorologist tammie souza. >> it looks like we are going to see perhaps a touch of maybe shower activity late tonight in the far pennsylvania suburbs and in the lehigh valley. the first alert that we have issued is for tomorrow. for pennsylvania, new jersey and delaware every area except the beaches potentially could see a stronger severe storm. the beaches see the ocean breeze developing under cutting the severity with the storms. this is from 2:00 tomorrow afternoon until 8:00 tomorrow evening that we see storms potentially popping up. any storms could deliver very heavy rain, damaging winds, maybe tiny hail, intense lightning and on top of all of that we are looking at a feels like temperature between 95 and 100. we have a lot to worry about by the time we get into tomorrow afternoon. right now on radar quiet. north jersey looking at a few showers. we saw them moving through pennsylvania suburbs earlier today. this line is the one we are mostly concerned about. you notice how it is diving this

way. it is diving off to the south and the east because it is going into more favorable, more moist and warm air mass. that air mass lifts in our direction and we will be prime to perhaps see more storms regenerating. could be strong and severe. how warm is it going to get tomorrow? you want to tell us? >> talk about a double whammy. storm potential and then serious heat would just fuel the strength of the storms. feels like for tomorrow in the afternoon hours we see hottest conditions. feeling like 98 degrees by 2:00 and staying in the upper 90s right through 4 p.m. we see a dip in the temperatures by 6:00. a little rain cool there to help us out. in the suburbs up to 95 degrees. that feels like by 4 p.m. looking at those low 90s for feels like in the lehigh valley. the actual highs will be in the

upper 80s. for delaware feeling like 99 degrees by 2:00. some spots may feel like triple digits by tomorrow afternoon. you see a little bit of cooling as storms start to pass. in new jersey feeling like mid 90s through 4:00 and near 90 degrees at the jersey shore. talking that comfort scale as we go through today just starting to pick up humidity. tomorrow bumping up to nearly oppressive conditions. a little relief on wednesday. right back at it by thursday and near dangerous conditions. we will talk more about that m. details on how hot it will feel by thursday coming up. a vigil for a mother of five killed over the weekend. you see the chairs are all set up there. about a dozen, maybe two dozen people are there. police say latoya cooper crashed into the spca building yesterday. memorials are set up in that area to pay tribute to cooper.

the crash sparked a fire at the building. it spread quickly throughout the shelter. three cats were killed. nearly 100 animals relocated. investigators are trying to figure out what caused cooper to crash. tonight one man is dead after a shipping container crushed his pickup truck. sky force 10 flew over the accident. that container fell on the white truck at the packer marine terminal. the 52-year-old man died at the scene. a staggering amount of illegal drugs off the streets thanks to pennsylvania state police. in the last three months troopers have confiscated more than $5 million in cocaine, heroin and other substances. so far this year troopers have seized more than $19 million in illegal drugs including 47 pounds of heroin. here is a look at stories making headlines county by county across our region. a philadelphia man is wanted for sexually assaulting two kids

with autism. there is an arrest warrant out for this man. police in greenberg, pennsylvania say he is a registered sex offender. detectives say he is living in philadelphia. a man is in jail for killing a man who investigators say robbed him. he is charged with voluntary manslaughter. police say a man with a gun met him at the door. they believe that man was christian green who robbed him and took off. police say he chased him, got his gun and shot green. a first alert traffic warning for drivers in center city. street resurfacing begins at a dozen different locations. that means streets will be closed temporarily. there will be parking restrictions. we have a complete list of the streets on the nbc 10 app. the work should be done by early august. and construction began at the new byrne plaza in downtown

a wildfire forced state of emergency. the wall fire had consumed more than 5,600 acres just north of sacramento. thousands of homes and buildings are at risk. more than 4,000 people have been evacuated. more than 1,000 firefighters, several helicopters and an air tanker are battling this fire. a police officer in milwaukee jumps into a lagoon to rescue a small dog. when the officers saw the dog struggling he jumped into action. he pulled the pup to safety. officials say the dog either jumped or fell into the lagoon. good for that officer right there. share the road. that is the message from a cyclist in tennessee after this

lightning. and it will be everywhere in the greater philadelphia area except right on the beach because of the breeze that comes in off of the ocean. sort of under cutting the severity of the storms. where are we in the risk? we are not up here. that is the hottest level. we are not at the bottom. we are here, the marginal risk. isolated severe storms limited in duration. possibly those winds that are borderline severe, 40 to 60 miles per hour, maybe tiny hail and low tornado risk. that is the good news we are near the bottom of the scale. any severe weather is bad severe weather. we are looking at a few showers up here in northern new jersey. what we are looking at here coming right at us, storms veering off. earlier today they had severe weather in places like milwaukee and chicago. this is more in the favorable air mass.

we have another line that is just showers and storms that make its way through the area. they shouldn't be severe. it should make it into redding about 2:00 in the morning, a little after 4:00 in the morning if any hang together they will make it into the philadelphia area. here is what is going on. we are watching the area of low pressure moving off to the north and east going to drape the cold front. as it does so watch the storms as they pop tomorrow in the afternoon between about 2:00 and 5:00 they will be widely scattered in nature and watching the front move to the south. it stays down there and then moves back north bringing us hotter air, more moisture and a chance for severe weather. so at about 4 30 clk we will see spotty showers. tomorrow storms popping up. please be aware of that. between about 2:00 and 8:00. they clear out wednesday.
