>> that's what we're dealing with here. we have people combing the entire county. >>. >> had deanna durante is live over the farm where police have been searching. >> reporter: you can see under the large tent is a large hole that investigators have been focusing on. they have been digging down deep into the ground here on this farm. they set up two smalleren tents where you can see investigators, some of them with the fbi are sifting through the dirt, putting that dirt into screens there and sifting it through trying to see what kind of evidence they can find. we have learned from investigative sources that trenzic evidence is being tested and it's hopeful by investigators that this evidence, whatever they find here, will lead to four missing men.

>> police have been searching a a farm property for days and still no signs of four missing men. all who vanished between wednesday and friday of last week. >> we're considering the whole thing a place of interest. >> reporter: the parents own multiple business asks rots. . nearly two dozen and those properties are stretched across three counties. sources say he was last seen with a missing men before they vanished. but the entire group was not spotted together all at once. evidence has been collected tr the outside and inside one of the buildings on the farm. that evidence is off to be tested. >> his parents own the property. there's some information that i'm privy to that i can't share with you.

>> that house and barn there, you can see the actual scene there where police and fbi have been digging. also police recruits ob lone, 40 to 50 of them have been seen going through the corn fields here. the da says the tips are important to the case. he says he's very hopeful at this point because there's been no evidence of human remains found but they are hoping something will lead to where the men are. they want the to hear from you. reporting live over the farm in bucks county, deanna durante, nbc 10 news. the district attorney is now calling 20-year-old cosmo dinardo a person of interest in this case. he's facing a unrelated gun charge. authorities searched his home yesterday. neighbors tell us they know him as helpful and polite and his

family as hard working. >> the family is beside themselves. i'm sure the family of the missing boys are also the same way. it's dinardo is being held on a million dollars bail. the da says the amount is high because as a person of interest the 20-year-old could be a flight risk. the search for these four missing men is the most viewed story on the nbc 10 app right now. we'll update you the moment we get any new information. the the chance for an isolated storm in your neighborhood, one could pop up throughout this evening as we deal with surging temperatures. let's get first alert meteorologist glenn schwartz with more on these showers. >> we did have strong thunderstorms move off of long beach island. a couple hours ago, things have really quieted down across much of our area. we do have some showers. these are moving toward the east

toward the polk thoughs ask lehigh valley. otherwise, things are pretty quiet close to home. but we do have storms around harrisburg. we'll track them through the evening and see if they hold together and hit burkes county and parts of chester county. the hour by hour forecast suggesting that maybe some of the remnants come iing across during the next few hours and especially in some of the northern suburbs. but then some more rain coming towards daybreak. then that moves out and heat starts to build. 91 degrees right now. philadelphia, also atlantic city international. it feels like 94s and closer to 100 farther to the south. but that's just the beginning. we have some feels like temperatures going up to triple digits. more on the extreme heat and more storms coming in a few minutes. tonight washington is buzzing after dth donald trump

jr. released e e-mails connected to a meeting with a russian attorney. the e mills appear to show trump jr. thought the russians had damaging information about hillary clinton. he said in the e e-mail, if it's what you say, i love it. that information was said to be from the russian government and offered as a show of support to the trump presidential campaign. donald jr. posted the entire e-mail chain on his twitter account. some lawmakers on both sides of the aisle says this interaction will not be taken lightly. >> this is very problematic. we cannot allow foreign governments to reach out saying we'd like to help you. that's a nonstarter. >> we're now beyond obstruction of justice. this is moving into perjury, false statements and even swoo potentially treason. >> tonight president trump is responding with a statement saying, quote, my son is a high quality person and i applaud his transparency, end quote.

the senaten won't be going to recess as soon as planned. mitch mcconnell announced today recess will be delayed by two weeks. gop senators asked for the delay mostly noting their priorities have piled up. mcconnell blamed democratic lawmakers for the backup. leader chuck schumer says the health care bill's unpopularity is the true culprit. a revised version of the repeal ask replace bill could be out by thursday and a vote next week. here at home, police say they are investigating a chaotic arrest caught on videothat's now going viral. . you can take a look here. it appears to show the officers slam a man to the ground monday morning as he's handcuffed. the crowd watching all this is screaming at the officers to stop. the officers were originally in this to investigate a drug case and there's an internal affairs investigation into the arrest. >> tensions are running high at

a hearing for 18 fraternity members charged in penn state. several loud arguments erupted between the prosecution and defense during the proceedings. the 18 frat members are charged in the death of tim piazza inside the fraternity house. the judge will decide if there's enough evidence to send the case to trial. right now at 6:00, a a natural gas pipeline is fueling outrage tonight. residents worry ied about water contamination and gas leaks, but the company building it says it's following all the rules. a public meeting on the issue begins in just minutes. randy gyllenhaal breaks down the debate. >> reporter: in her neighborhood, danielle watches her two kids play outside. while keeping a very close eye on the construction happening just across her fence it line, the new natural gas pipeline is being installed here and worries

every day about the possibility of a gas leak. >> so if there is a leak, this substance is odorless, color es, heavier thaen than air. >> she's one of many neighbors organizing on facebook against the pipeline. some neighbors say the 350-mile project just cuts through a bad location. >> it just doesn't belong running through a densely populated neighborhood. >> but she and her family believe it's causing more problems. many had who use well water in the area report brown and cloudy water coming from the tap. >> my water is brown. >> so just funny things with the water. >> reporter: as complaint pile up, local officials are taking action. a state senator is calling on the company to stop drilling until more can be learned. but they say the pipeline is safe and construction is in compliance wp. we spotted crews out working again today. over the past few weeks, there's

been a number of meetings on this. topic and another one happening tonight that's at 7:00 at st. paul united church of christ. randy gyllenhaal, nbc 10 news. >> another public meetings happening over basketball hoops taken down in an allentown park. we told you last week the mayor decided to get rid of all but one of the hoops in the park. the mayor responding to complaints about people trashing the park and blasting music late at night. but wrereck leagues who play th just want the hoops back. we'll have an update at 11:00. new jersey governor chris christie is firing back at assembly speaker over how to pay furloughed state workers. the governor sent a letter to him today. the speaker wanted the governor to use his authority to pay workers forced to stay home when he closed state parks last week. he's not within his powers to do that. he called the request unlawful.

and within the last few minute, he offered up this response to the governor. it reads in part, at least he stepped with from his audition to spend a few minutes doing his actual job. the past two days the governor has appeared on a sports radio station on new york city auditions for a job after he leaves office. tonight it atlantic city is trying again to sell its former airstrip. the city council will consider approving a request to purchase and redevelop the land. it's a water front property once valued at $800 million. it's been underused since atlantic city closed the strip a decade ago. it was put up for auction before, but the city did not get high enough bids to sell it. the stage is almost set tr pink to rock the sand in atlantic city. >> crews are busy getting the venue ready for the bucks county native and international superstar. she's expected to draw a huge crowd of 50,000 tomorrow night.

nbc 10. >> reporter: it was the end of june in 1974. margaret fox left this note to her parents on the kitchen counter. . she told them she would be babysitting. fox's brother walked her to broad and high street. she caught a bus to mount holly. . was the last anyone saw her. >> i interviewed the people on the bus and showed pictures of her. two retired city detectives returned to their old station both sharing clues and theories. a retired cop is devoting himself to the fox case tr free. he's learned fox had finished eighth grade, a man who called himself john marshal hired her to babysit. the call came from a phone booth ath the grocery. he promised to pick her up in a red beetle. >> if you have intent to do this, are you going to make arrangements to have this girl come to the town you live in. >> reporter: no one hz ever been arrested.

sent in by a viewer earlier today. you can see the flume of smoke there. officials say the fire is contained, but it's not yet under control. in chester county, a catholic school is now backing off a new rule that would have required girls to wear tighting year round. administrators at bishop shanahan sent out an e-mail last month that knee socks would no longer be part of the school uniform. the female students say the change in the dress code was not only unfair and expensive, but sexist too. the class started a petition signed 1300 times. officials are backing off the new policy. now to your first alert weather. you'll probably wish for a beach escape in the next few days. temperatures are in the 80s. back here in philadelphia, though, a heat wave is is getting underway. . a live look at broad street from our camture pus camera where it could feel like triple digits. we're monitoring storms chances

for tonight. let's bring in glenn schwartz. >> near harrisburg, they are moving to the east. some of them with some lightning and about to move into lancaster county. we'll track them this evening to see if they do head into burkes county or in chester county. those will be the places most likely to see the remnants of that. as we go through the night tonight, best chances in the lehigh valley for any showers or storms. this model was keeping us dry all the way through night. and just a few showers popping up tomorrow afternoon. so most of the day tomorrow is rain free. but it's pretty hot and it's pretty humid. there's an isolated storm on wednesday night. then thursday that's when things really get started. now the temperature has gotten up to 91 degrees so far. it may creep up a little more.

but look at this. 9 at the marine that. what a difference. ocean temperature of 70 degrees. so a little bit of a break right at the beaches over the next couple of days. but you're going to need a break. we have an excessive heat watch for all the urbanized areas tr trenton down through wilmington. record temperatures expected on thursday. the heat index, the feels like temperature to 105. or maybe a little higher. late thunderstorms and most likely thursday night. and some of those could be severe. so it's going to be a pretty active day. now the feels like forecast has been pretty oppressive today. will be so tomorrow. thursday is the day where it becomes kind of dangerous. and then trid we get a tremendous break with the temperatures and the humidity. so as we go through the feels like temperature, watch what happens wednesday afternoon. we're closing in it on 100 degrees. thursday afternoon we're going

i'm john clark from csn. carson wentz not only launched his foundation today, but he's host iing his eagles receivers his home state of north dakota. he says his teammates love it out. there is the proof. they are work out at north dakota state university. carr sob organized this trip to practice and bond together. they practiced eagles plays. take a look at alshon jeffrey and nelson aguilar. being the quarterback, the leadership comes with the whole thing. and you can see he's taking over as a leader. >> we got almost all the receivers out here this summer. so it's exciting. they all flew in and what the heck is this lace. but they love it. we have had some fun. we got a lot of good work in so tar. it means a lot we got this many guys to come out.
