his parents own the farm where the remains are being dug up. >> a team of reporters is dedicated to this major event that's making national headlines. >> let's begin with erin coleman who is near that crime scene. >> we are about a mile away or so from where all of that activity is going on on that farmland. the entrance is a mile down 202 and back over my shoulder, that's where investigators have been focusing their efforts. this is really about as close as we can get safely, but you want to e show you video from sky force 10 of the search team as crews are digging deeper into that 12-foot hole where they found the body of a 19-year-old along with other husm remains. deanna durante has been on the scene all week long. want to bring her in. you have been digging into this.

you have learned a lot of new information today. specifically about cosmo dinardo. what have you learned? >> he was a student for a short time at a college innen montgomery county. he was at arcadia university and they confirm to me that he was a student there in the fall of 2015. he completed one semester but did not return. we have just learned that he apparently wanted to reenroll in 2016, the fall of 2016. we are told by that university spokesperson that due to verbal incidents, that spokesperson's word, with members of the university community that the school became concerned and alerted public safety. at that point they tell us they sent letters to his parents and him certified letters saying he was no longer allowed on the campus of arcadia university. that letter was also sent to police where it was put on file.

that public safety was concerned and if he came back to the campus it would be considered trespassing. let's look at away we're seeing live from the chopper. they held their briefing and talked about the fact that the hole there is 12 feet deep and that emergency responders need to shore up that hole so that the crime scene investigators can get down there and continue searching and recovering human remains. he told us one person has been positively identified. but this is a case that. wraps around four missing men. sources have told us that computer records, cell phone records have all placed those four men within a few miles of this farm that is is owned by the delaware ninardo family. those parents have been subpoenaed before a grand jury today. we have been told by the family

attorney representing cosmo in this case deemed mere ly a persn of interest at this point that the family is cooperating with investigators. >> talk a little bit about the forensic evidence. we know that investigators found some evidence on monday. >> much of ft evidence needs to be tested. there's no guarantee it could belong to one person. and they are not being very specific as to what they found. some of that evidence went off the labs. we no from sources they have been searching cell phone records from the beginning and typically what happens in a lot of these investigations is you have to go to the cell phone providers. you have to get the records and figure out were they near towers in the area to place people in the area. that has been done as well. >> we'll check back in with you. >> we have been looking at the shot. we're going to go to this video of his lawyer.

he was at 9:00 this morning. sources said his parents will be testifying at a grand jury hearing, but authorities will not confirm that. these kind of hearings can lead to formal charges. randy gyllenhaal is speaking with former prosecutors who are now defense attorneys about the impact of the grand jury. he's going to have that part of the story all new on nbc 10 news at 5:00. it's really been an emotional day for family and friends of the 19-year-old who was identifie identified late last night. >> he had a a big brother, little brother relationship, he and i. and i never had a little brother so it was tough. >> lauren mayk spoke with some friends of the young man. >> he's the first to be found.

the death of the the 19-year-old hitting loved ones hard. >> he was one of the funniest guys i had had ever met. he had a smile that would hug you. >> reporter: bill worked with the teen at a local business where friends and strangers are stringing together memories in colored paper, remembering the kwlung man who confided in him. >> we had a big brother, little brother relationship. and i never had a little brother. it was tough when he was taken from us. >> reporter: he's one of four young men whose mystery disappearance is agonizing family and loved ones. >> the longer it went without resolution, the more sadder it became for us. they are praying for all of them, but with personal heart attack for the family of jimmy. he went to the prep, the same as

tracking the threat for severe thunderstorms in parts of the area this evening. those storms could bring damaging winds and heavy downpours. we are tracking dangerous heat. construction crews battled the rising temperatures while laying black top along town. ship line road. we spoke to the the supervisor who says the name of the game is safety. >> 15-minute b breaks. we'll come back out. >> the team is keeping you prepared for both of these dangers. it has more on the dangerous heat. >> let's go to meteorologist glenn schwartz, who is tracking that threat for storms. >> north of the philadelphia area, they are clobbering parts of the region. it's all moving straight west to east so it's going over the same area. and that means there's a flood threat as well. this heaviest area with the most lightning is timed out for

hazelton. little after that in allentown. but it's already been hit hard by a thunderstorm. this has moved past that's now over easton or just south of easton is the worst of it going into holland. this is still north of bucks county where that murder scene is. so there is a threat of flooding. the flood advisory until 7:30 goes all the way down to upper bucks county. so it's going to be a pretty active several hours. severe thunderstorm watch for this entire area in yellow. that is until 9:00 for the potential of strong, gusty thunderstorms and more back to the west. so it's going to be a pretty active evening. and the northern portions of our area are going to get hit the hardest. tammie souza will take care of the heat, which is going to be put to a quick end here. >> it will be put to a quick end in those areas getting thunderstorms.

but some of the areas not getting thunderstorms places down in delaware. look at dover. 94 e degrees. it's 92 in philadelphia. look at allentown. in the upper 80s earlier the storm came through. now 77. it's cooking in atlantic city. let's check out the feels like. we're going to go to some of the neighborhoods. it feels like 99 degrees. let's check it all out. it feels like 107 in graduate hospital. how about if we go perhaps up to the north. we are looking at feeling like 97 degrees. how about we go to delaware. in delaware, you go further south and it looks like a feels like. you're feeling like 113. they feel like they are 108. 106, there will be relief on the way, but not until after

one-on-one talks. they met last week at the g-20 summit in germany. the topics of discussion included counterterrorism and possible solutions to the crisis in syria. at a news conference afterwards, he defended his oldest son. donald trump jr. drew attention after speaking with an attorney. the president today backed his son's decision to take that meeting. >> he took a meeting with a a lawyer from russia. it lasted for a very short period. and nothing came of the meeting. i think it's a meeting that most people in politics probably would have taken. >> president trump also visited the tomb of famed french leader napoleon. he will attend celebrations tomorrow before returning to the united states. back here at home, we have new details about the stabbing and beating death of a woman in lawn crest. police identified her as

57-year-old rozalin wicks. they found her body on hill crest drive. she was beaten with a hammer. we also learned the daughter was taken to the hospital with a head injury. today brings a push to crack down ob hazing on college c campuses. pat meehan was in washington with a group calling tr the passage of the reach act. it would require colleges to report incidents of hazing as part of the college's annual crime report. among those join iing the congressman today were the parents of gary, the 128-year-old died from alcohol poisoning ten years ago. not to be hazed and left to die. we're tired of seeing this. something needs to be done. >> off in washington today with a hazing death at a penn state

fraternity triggered a high profile prosecution. 18 young men are charged in the death of tim piazza. he died in may after a night of drinking and several falls. a week after a noose was found hanging from a e tree in their neighborhood, a philadelphia community is coming together. they will gather at 18th in philadelphia about two hours from now. they will take back. the tree with prayer and acts of love. as no was found hanging from the tree last friday. it's right outside penn medicine. they released video of a man responsible. they tell us the guy on the left threw the noose moment bfrs he appeared in this video. investigators want to talk to both of them. and back to bucks county now in the breaking developments in the murder mystery centered a the this farm. investigators say it was cadaver dogs that led them to the spot where e remains were found bu

buried during their search for four missing men. they have identified one so far. they said they are making progress in identifying the other remains. the parents are testifying before a grand jury. he's the person of interest in this case and his parents own the farm where the remains were found. the other big story is the dangerous heat. people are trying to beat the heat for the second night of the beach front concert series. >> medical crews treated dozens of people for heat-related illnesses and today's conditions are only worse. ted greenberg is live in atlantic city this afternoon. not much relief for people trying to cool off down the shore. >> a little. there's more relief here that there is inland. even a few block was. it's a little cooler here. but it is a busy afternoon up here on the boardwalk. the entrances to that concert

medical crews treated a total of 58 people mainly for heat-related ailments. fouren went to the hospital. >> may not have been drinking or protecting themselves from the sun is either with sunglasses or sunscreen. >> have to be careful. atlantic care has an air-conditioned medical pen inside the venue. they also have crews stationed throughout the crowd so they can quickly respond to anyone who needs treatment. we are also tracking the threat for severe thunderstorms in parts of the area. some of them could bring damaging winds and heavy downpours. we know that those downpours could hamper the efforts by investigators. >> they are in a flood watch or a flood advisory in that area. they are going to be getting hit

by showers and storms during the night tonight. this is the general area of the storm threat from the philadelphia region all the way north. the green area is a flood advisory that does go down through the northern half of bucks county until 7:30. and all this area in yellow severe thunderstorm watch for the potential for damaging winds and hail. you can see we have some big thunderstorms just coming into burkes county. you can see the orange there. that's a severe thunderstorm warning that's just been issued for that portion of the county. there's reading itself. so this storm is definitely come ing on to reading. the warning does not quite cover the town itself. but certainly is headed there hitting the worst of it at 5:08. easton at 5:45. and. then it would continue east wwa.

here's the one storm in holland. you can see there's a storm just to the north of it. without the lightning yet, but that wasn't there ten minutes ago. there are more storms back to the west. so there's plenty more moisture for tonight. and this area is going to be getting us tomorrow. so this is the front that's stalled. and moisture is going to ride along that front. it's 92 degrees at philadelphia. but it's down to 77 in all allentown. that's what the rain does. 95 in wildwood. and atlantic city international at 85. now the feels like temperature are just outrageous, especially in delaware. newark at 104. harmony hills, 10 had 4. farther to the south, 109 in lewis beach. the worst weather at the delaware beaches the last couple days. in philadelphia we have 99 at

right now at 4:30, the unfolding murder mystery in bucks county. authorities are back at a farm

sifting through a deep grave. the remains of people were found there last night. authorities identified one vi victim as 19-year-old. three others remain missing. investigators called dinardo a person of interest. his parents own the farm where the remains were found. >> investigators have been digging through what is now a grave site. >> former special agent with us now where they are digging 90 acres right behind where we are right now. give us a little insight into when you have a property that is that big and you are looking for a specific spot, how do you zone in on that spot where they have been focusing their efforts for several days? >> the fact that they were looking for human remain, they

are going to start with cadaver dogs go through and try to narrow it down. there's some more technical things they can do with ground penetrating radar and metal dedeck tors. they publicly said they found remains in a common grave. now they have to determine exactly what's in there. identify the remains that are in there, identify the victims, there could be more than one grave site. so there's a lot of both heavy excavation. there was some indication it was pretty deep. and then more delicate sensitive excavation. they have to get the remains out. they don't want to destroy any potential evidence because obviously bodies recovered. so that's evidence and they have to try to figure out the cause and manner of death so they have

to be careful of that. >> you see video so you see what they have been doing. one has been identified. what's going on under that? we see this image from sky force 10. they are under that tent. they are in that deep hole. what are they doing inside there? >> they are as carefully as they can, they are excavating and digging out the remains. they are obviously have to recover the bodies. it's evidence, but it's also a loved ones remains. so they have to recover those remains carefully and respectfully and also preserve the evidence so that they can tie those remains to this person of interest. they have to charge them with these crimes and murders. it's a very complicated process. especially that deep. because now you have to get down there with heavy excavation.

of the area. and striking the same areas over and over again. that's part of the problem this afternoon. that's going to lead to flooding. we're also starting to see some new storms. developing just north of philadelphia down near coatesville. first of all, we'll concentrate on the area that's getting the worst of it. that's where the most lightning strikes are and tracking that to reading. 5:00, they have already been hit hard. 6:13 in norristown. and this rain is extremely heavy. reading is down here getting some, but we're talking about when the heaviest is coming in. burnville getting some of the heavy rain now. white hall, it's north of there now. we're getting storms into nazareth. but the flood advisory goes into burkes county and through the lehigh valley and the poconos and upper bucks county and the

watch covers everything from philadelphia northward until 9:00. and that is because of the threat of the thunderstorms. this is the one severe thunderstorm that's out there right now that is headed toward reading. until 5:15. the watch for thunderstorms goes until 9:00. there's more back to the west here. it's going to be a very ak tiff night. delaware and south jersey, he will be getting some of it. that's going to put an end to the heat that tammie souza is going to talk about. >> it's brutal in some places. other places getting relief from the rain. allentown at 77. dover at 94. philadelphia, 92. but that's not the big story. the big story is is how you feel. let's go to some of your neighborhoods. it feels like 99 if you're at the airport in philadelphia. not the case though. it feels like 110 if you're at graduate hospital. just standing right outside of

the building. let's go to fox chase where it feels like 102 degrees. how about we check out the suburbs? because we have bye-bye bringing you the breaking news from that area. 95 across portions of the pennsylvania suburbs. but look at this. we go across parts of chester county. that's not the case. it feels like 100 in some places there. then we get out here to montgomery and buck. s county, it feels like 98. if we go to new hope and newtown, it feels like 100. those are places that we're watching today. we're going to see storms coming through there later which glenn schwartz will tell you about all in a few minutes. now look at some of the other stories we're following county by county on nbc 10 news at 4:00. police want you to take a good look at this guy. he may have stolen two cars from a dealership in burlington county. cameras show a man on route 73

twice. call police if you recognize that guy. in north hampton county, a big hit with a $150,000 fine after underage gamblers were found on the ka can see know floor. the control board says it happened ten times last year, each time the ka scasino report it. the youngest person caught was 16 years old. in chester county, a warning from police about keeping your doors locked. burglars are breaking into homes while people are upstairs sleeping. the regional police think these two women might have something to do with it. if you used credit cards take b during the dollburglaries, ther been three break ins since last month. upper da by hosted a event. some people helped take photos for the new i.d. card as part of

a new blood test in philadelphia patriotic cancer. the university of pennsylvania came up with this test and they hope it cob used for people with a family history of that disease. it's typically detected in advanced stages making it harder to treat. a boy is on a mission to thank police officers all over the country.

times and behind it cooler temperatures as we'll break this heat wave. let's check in with meteorologist glenn schwartz. there's a lot of rain and a lot of is hitting the same spot over and over again. you can see the northern portion of our area getting hit hard. there's a good bit of lightning with this. we're seeing storms just pop up out of nowhere. here's one in chester county. look at that. near coatesville. it came from nothing and now there's a good bit of lightning with it. this is a pretty heavy cell here. getting hit hard with this rain. and the rainfall rates, 3 to 4 inches per hour. so these are tremendous downp r

downpours and there's more back to the west. tallahassee flood advisory for the region. the severe thunderstorm watch goes until 9:00 for possible damaging winds with some of these storms. but i think we're going to have some flood threats here with the way the storms are moving over the same spots. down to 83 in pottstown. while it's 83 at the marina. now look at the differences here from burke. s and lehigh county. this is a feels like. 92 in hopewell. 93 in reading. 82 in leesport. farther to the south, we saw numbers well over 100.

so some places are sweltering. other places are getting flooding. as we go into friday, things quiet down later tonight. then they pick up again in the morning. we have waves of showers and thunderstorms moving through. once again. some of it on the heavy side, but that is going to be moving out. it kaim out of here just in time for the weekend. so saturday is looking good. improving conditions nice on sunday. a lot of sunshine and a good bit lower humidity than what we have seen over the last couple days. so here's what happens. we have lower humidity over the
