"hurricane" schwartz. >> that's right. for pennsylvania, new jersey and delaware that first alert and storms may be capable of producing heavy downpours that could lead to localized flooding. it's just light rain starting to exit wilmingtowilmington. you can see the clouds hanging over the city. the chance of more showers. those came through with some thunder and lightning. now, this is just light rain with a showers. the next round of storms is likely to come into our area in central pennsylvania. it is 75 miles per hour away.

about. by 5:30 look at that. it is more of a threat from philly down to delaware. 6:00 with a potential line of thunderstorms. it is 7:30 tonight. by 830 fm it continues to be moving to the east. what is the greatest threat? it would be damaging winds. every set of severe thunderstorm days is different. the biggest threat, damaging winds today. a fairly high threat of flash flooding and then hail and possible tornado.

some very heavy rainfall. the timing coming up in a few minutes. dinardo confessed the p participating in the murders. they questioned another person in connection with the crime. in other news, jerusalem's holy site is closed follow ago deadly shooting. three gunmen were killed in a fire fight with israeli security forces. they say they were devote muslims who frequently visited the shrine. we have more about president trump's son and russia lawyer. they learned a counter intelligence officer was in the

family relationships that qualify for entry into the united states. the travel ban targets people from six muslim majority countries. take a look at this video of a man smashing the window of a business in washington state. he is using a battle ax. police say he went on a ram paj. he walked down the street swings that ax. he also smashed the windows of an suv. right now he is still on the loose. this area is building up. there has been trouble in central pennsylvania including some flooding. you can see this area is moving eastward. we saw yesterday it is moving more towards northern portions of our area that got hit hard

yesterday with rain. so we have to keep that in mind. as we zoom into the rain area right now it is fairly heavy rain at times but that's about it. now, this area is 1 to 2 inches per hour. the problem here is because it's all moving west to east it is happening over an hour or two or three in the same spot. and so 3 to 4 inches of rain has already fallen in some of these places. there have been water rescues. remember, if there's any threat of water that you can't see how deep it is and your driving turn around, don't drown. that may be the biggest threat later today. pennsylvania, new jersey, delaware in the severe storm threat. we have a first alert out for possible damaging winds and

downpours in that localized flooding. it won't be flooding everywhere but there may be localized flash flooding that's higher on the scale than we normally see in the severe weather episode. it is the highest threat and lowest threat for hail or tornados. the storm prediction center has our bulls eyetoday. we didn't get a whole lot ye today. here is what's going on. we have the east wind. it's only 68 degrees in trento . so this creates a front here and ad as those storms come in, if anything they will intensify. look at theke. it is 68 in trenton to 105 in o

of storms this morning. it looks like things could get diceyer this morning. we issued severe storms. through this afternoon and into early evening hours that's the time of most risk. it could lead to localized flooding. there is rain to the east. it is light rain moving through the lehigh valley. storms are likely later today. you can see the storms moving through country lake estates. light rain there. let me show you what we are watching, these tomorrhundersto ek treem -- extremely heavy rainfall. heaviest storms are just to the south of state college. the rainfall totals in this area more than 2.5 inches. you can see to the northwest almost 4 inches of rain. it's that line of storms that

are producing heavy rain that could lead to flooding. also a risk of severe storms taking place with possibly damaging winds. with timing of the storms glenn schwartz is standing by, glenn. >> all right. thanks. we did have one batch move through earlier. we have more coming in. over the next couple of hours the area bill was showing you, the dangerous area here around 1:00. it may be the last threat for the lehigh valley and burkes county. there is 2:00. we have isolated storms towards philly. 3:00 it is starting to clear out of the lehigh valley at least temporarily. it is in the area where the greatest heat and humidity is

county murder mystery expanded overnight. police questioned another person in connection to the case. we learned police do have a second person of interest in the case. sources tell us that person has previous arrests and we know detectives are on the scene of a new location that is tied to the case. this is all coming from nbc 10 who is on the scene there. >> yesterday his attorney says he confessed to participating in the four young men that wemissi. we are working to get confirmation on the name of that person and his connection to dinardo. crews are still searching the family farm where they found the remains of three people. >> matt delucia is there live with the latest on that search,

matt. >> reporter: we have had on and off rain. it has been the center and focal point of the search efforts for these four young men. we have noticed a pronounced reduction in the police presence here that we have seen over the past few days when they search was at its peak. we have fewer police here at the moment. the search continues at this moment especially for the fourth person. the first discovery came on wednesday. his remains were buried 12.5 feet under ground. sources say three bodies were recovered from that spot he told investigators where to find to fourth. police used cadaver dog to find the remains. yesterday bucks county d.a. said during a news conference here

tracking showers and thunderstorms for today. we are starting to see heavier rain not in too many neighborhoods but look in western burkes county. we are seeing a thunderstorm fire up with some heavy down powers. it is moving to the east. this is the beginning of the activity that will likely get a little bit more widespread as we go into the afternoon and evening hours. we issued a first alert for

we have posted all of the information you need right there. well, we have had showers and thunderstorms already today. there is a good bit more to come. this light rain around ocean county right now. real action is to the west. we are getting a thunderstorm in burkes county right at the place we had them develop yesterday. these are similar to what developed yesterday. it is moving to the east. there is a lot of rain with that. it has already been reports of several inches of rain and water rescues. here is the latest storms. this is in western burkes county. it would be heading to reading by 1215:15 this one has a core

2 to 3 inches per hour. if it's a single storm that moves through like that you're okay thchlt is not a single storm thchlt is a whole cluster of storms, 1 to 2 inches per hour gradually moving into our area. the remnants of that at 1:30 up towards the lehigh valley. the biggest threat to that area is early this afternoon the threat starts probably around middle of the afternoon. we have threats at the shore too. watch this. at 5:00 we have got heavy storms with parts of south jersey with more coming in from the west. this is like wave after wave after wave. it's not just one thunderstorm that's coming through and potentially some of the heaviest activity in delaware where it is hot and it's humid as opposed to

the areas up here where it's cool. it would tend to prevent severe thunderstorms but increase the risk of flooding. there is 9:00. that looks like the end of it. a couple more showers and then we are drying out for the weekend. we have the first alert for a severe thunderstorm and for the entire area until 8:00. damaging winds, possible downpours and localized flooding. the damaging winds are the highest threat on our scale. flash flooding is pretty high for that type of activity and the hail and tornado risks are very small. cooler weather may prevent some of that from happening. you have east winds here meeting the west winds over here.
