e tale of drug, money and murder. good evening, i'm jacqueline london. >> and i'm jim rosenfield. this case has capped national attention all week long. but tonight we finally have the answers everyone has been waiting for. let's break down what we know. two people now face charges. first cosmo dinardo was charged withing all four men. he confessed to the crime and made a deal with prosecutors. sean kratz was charged with killing three of the men. he was arrested late last night. he calls hill his cousin. all of the victims were shot in three separate incidents. on two different days. three bodies were found on wednesday. the last body was found last night. police have been searching all week long. all of the victims were lured to that farm over drug deals and all were buried there. three of the bodies were burned. we are bringing you live team coverage of the killing spree. randy gyllenhaal is focused on

the suspect who was arraigned this afternoon. >> we begin with deanna durante, who was there as prosecutors connected the dots today. >> we know all the victims know each other. we know they know cosmo dinardo at this point and prosecutors lured them to that farm. investigators say at this point, they have done what they could to bring these victims home to their families. >> we're here to accomplish two goals and that was to bring these young men home to their loved one who is have done nothing to e deserve this horrible tragedy that has been set upon them. we're here to seek justice for them. >> those families waited for nearly a week as police, the fbi and others dug down deep on a farm. >> e we did find three of those young men buried deep within the ground under an old oil tank converted into a cooker about 12 feet down. >> reporter: those men were shot

on friday according to prosecutors who say they were lured to the farm to buy drugs. instead they were shot by cosmo dinardo and his cousin sean kratz. one victim run over by a backhoe and another shot as he tried to run away. the bodies were doused with gasoline and set on fire and dropped in the ground. >> we were able to secure the two weapons that we allege were used in these four murders so that they can never be used to hurt or kill anyone ever again. >> but the first killed was the last to be found. the da says cosmo dinardo murdered patrick on wednesday. his remains were hid b on the property. the weapons and accomplice were given up to police after the 20-year-old made a plea deal to spare him from the death penalty. >> we'd still be looking for jimmy patrick had we not made this agreement. >> reporter: now that plea deal says not extend to the other

accomplice in this case. prosecutors asked for those to kol forward and this man that he calls his cousin sat in silence. we have learned and investigators say even stashed some of the weapons in this case. reporting live, deanna durante, nbc 10 news. within the past couple hours, a judge arraigned cosmo dinardo and sean kratz, making appearances through video conference. randy gyllenhaal continues our live team coverage from the courthouse tonight. >> reporter: it's the nature of these allegations, drugs, guns, murder and cover up that caused judge maggie snow to call these suspects a danger to the community and tonight both men will remain behind bars. inside this bucks county courtroom two young men accused of a horrific string of murders and cover ups were denied any chance at bail. attorneys say cosmo dinardo has confessed to a role in the

killings. his life will likely be spared, but his cousin and alleged co-conspirator could still face the death penalty. >> this is an expectation that he will be following through with any deals made. >> there's still discussions made. >> in court he was wearing this same orange jump suit he didn't speak much, but he was much more talkative saying he worked as a tile installer saying he spent his life living in northeast philly and bli he also said he was shot in the leg three months ago worried about his injury behind bars. prosecutors say both men are clearly dangerous. >> both suspects committing multiple murders over a week-long period, bail was set at zero. >> reporter: the families of the victims will soon see justice. >> what they have had to do sitting through 96 hours at a

site where weather conditions were awful at times to see whether their loved ones were in the ground there has been an overwhelming experience. >> reporter: the judge decided to house both of these men in separate jails, in separate prisons n separate counties so they would not be able to interact with each other. the next court date for both of them is july 31st. live in bucks county, randy gyllenhaal, nbc 10 news. some of the evidence prosecutors may use in their case against cosmo dinardo and sean kratz was collected from a house in montgomery county equipped with medal detectors, they searched the property in upper dublin. kratz told detectives they would find two gun there is and they did. neighbors say one of his relatives owns the home. >> i can't believe it. i can't believe it.

lightning hit the telephone pole in ocean city, new jersey. >> the beach was crowded but now ta live look shows there's a lot of rain on the lens. check with your airline. team coverage continues of the storms. meteorologist erika martin is out tracking the storms in lo dw began township. >> let's begin with glenn schwartz. >> we have got some really heavy storms and just going into the jersey shore. and offshore with all the lightning. really should be on the beach or in the water. we also have storms coming in

through delaware. these are places that with respect hit yet. the maryland storms are headed into delaware now. denton at 6:30. 6:54 in milford. 7:26 in georgetown. we have some heavy rain over milford and farmington. milton getting heavy rain as well. and in new jersey, cape may as you saw that picture getting pounded, stone harbor, atlantic city getting off light at least a little bit. mays landing still getting some as well. and speaking of heavy rain, we have flash flood warnings across part of the area. severe thunderstorm watch continues in south jersey in delaware. these are flash flood warnings in effect until 7:15. so a lot going on out there. that's why we sent storm ranger 10 out and meteorologist erika

martin is live with storm ranger 10. what do you see in there? >> so an exclusive sneak peek into the heart of storm ranger. we have a lot going on in here. we have this exclusive doppler radar which stands in the vertical and horizontal in just 20 to 30 seconds. look at how fast it scanned the atmosphere. very important, especially because. a stationary radar site is not going to have a scan as quickly. 4 to 5 minutes. we're seeing a lot in the atmosphere. a closer look at what's going on. seeing this particular product picking up on some going on in the at months fore. basically some rain showers. so we're going to talk a little bit more about this later on. but in the meantime, toss it back to the studio.

tonight two men are behind bars. they are charged with their murders. 20-year-old cosmo dinardo and his cousin 20-year-old sean kratz both pleaded not guilty during their arraignment this afternoon. they were shot and killed on cosmo dinardo's family farm. you can find a full time line of the crimes on the nbc 10 app. now to an nbc 10 exclusive. >> a jersey shore city is seemingly under the microscope of federal authorities. nbc 10 uncovered a grand jury subpoena ordering to turn over information about city employees. and we have also obtained documents that show a huge increase in certain prescription drug costs. ted greenberg is working to get to the bottom of it all. >> not happy with it. >> michael becker says he's updebt seth is about his city being scrutinized by federal investigators. >> it breaks my heart.

very concerned about it. >> reporter: this subpoena requested last month by the u.s. attorneys office and obtained by nbc 10 asks the city to provide a listing of all police, fire and city employees who have express scripts and direct as part of their health insurance plan. it doesn't say why a spokesman for the u.s. attorneys office says hen can't talk about subpoenas. the subpoena is comes after records also uncovered by nbc 10 show a massive spike in brand name prescription drug costs by city workers. from 714,000 in 2014 to more than $3.3 million the following year. with just a small increase in the number of prescriptions too. >> that's an awful big job. >> the assistant direct of the research center at rutgers

university causes the increase in drug costs highly unusual. >> one of the possible rons for that type of a jump could be that you have to game the system. . >> i don't know what caused the increase, but looking at it briefly, it's very disconcerting. >> reporter: a high level source says a numb of municipal employees have also been interviewed by the fbi. i asked federal authorities if there's a connection between the drug cost increase and the subpoena, but theyen wouldn't comment add iing they can eithe confirm nor deny the existence of a criminal investigation. >> my stomach is turning. >> the mayor hoping to get more answers. >> sooner the better. >> reporter: ted greenberg, nbc 10 news. >> we asked neighboring for similar documents. he denied our request citing an open investigation. a popular shop has brides to be scrambling b tonight.

high water there. and the rain is soaking montgomery county as well. really coming down pretty steadily in willow grove there. >> dreary skies over philadelphia. this is a look at the very still wind turbines in lincoln financial field in south philly. hard to see the skyline at all. >> we are expecting even more rain and possibly severe storms for parts of this evening. you can see that action on the radar. >> let's go to meteorologist glenn schwartz. >> it's delaware and extreme south jersey that it's getting hit hard now with more to come. there's storm ranger 10. you can see the sweep much fa faster than the other radars. we have very heavy storms that are moved offshore off of avalon just past cape may. they have already seen the heaviest rain, but some parts of the have seen 2 to 4 inches of rain in the last couple hours.

at the same time south of dover toward milford, we're seeing the heavy rain. e see how it got hit the hard haddest on anybody. they continue to get more headed that. more storms developing. so it's not necessarily over even where the rain has ended for now. they still have a large areas of flash flood warnings until 7:15. a new severe thunderstorm warning in southern delaware and this is the future radar hour by hour. you can see more showers and storms expected during the evening hours. so like, just clouds in south

taking a live look down the shore. not the best day. it looks pretty soggy. looks wet and not just from the ocean. >> you have had series of storms after another. there's more coming down as we saw on the radar. look at that. down the shore and to southern delaware, you see that little line down in southern delaware, that's an out flow line. those are winds coming out of the storms near milford creating strong wind gusts as they go past. this it doppler radar can see the winds. these are the big storms. one batch that went off the coast and now you can see the other batch that just got hit a little while ago. and cape may getting hit again e too. they were fine. not today.
