o.j. simpson did his time for the crime. he appeared contrite as he apologized for the robbery that put in prison in the first place. he just wanted his stuff back, but he says he wishes he made different choices. >> it's been nine years making no excuses about anything. i. am sorry that things turned out the way they did. i had no intent to commit a cri crime. i do have some real friends. >> one of his robbery victims testified today. he said he's been aen friend of o.j.'s for more than 25 years and said he never pulled a gun on him and he thinks o.j. served enough time. o.j. served nine years of his sentence which had a maximum of 33 years. it has been about 20 years, more than that, since the imfa mouse

chase. he was a fame football player and led police on a chase after the murder of his ex-wife. simpson is hired a dream team of lawyers to defend him in the highly publicized trial in 1995. a jury found him not guilty in the murder of nicole brown anden ronald goldman. a new generation got a chance to relive the trial the past year. heat across pennsylvania, new jersey and delaware. >> let's begin our team coverage with tammie souza. >> it's dangerous out there. we talked about it for several days. it's a cumulative effect. so this heat gets more and more dangerous. we have the first alert continuing for pennsylvania, new jersey and delaware. everybody is under a warning, advisory or now the city is under a heat emergency. the feels like temperature is easily between 100 and 110. e we saw a few today near 114 was the feels like temperature. heat exhaustion and heatstroke can set in quickly. right now it's actually 95 in philadelphia. 93 in dover. 92 in vineland. it feels like 113 in dover when you factor in the moisture. it feels like 98 in

philadelphia. so they are not getting much relief at the beaches. the biggest thing we have to be concerned with is is the overnight lows. they are not really going to be refreshing. 78 will be the overnight low in philadelphia, but it's going to feel well into the 80s. we're going into another day of intense and dangerous heat tomorrow. we'll talk more about that and the the chance for thunderstorms to kind of break all this heat when i come back in a few minutes. while parents are at work and kids are at camp and it's a a conscious effort to e key them cool, let's go live to cydney long in medford lake. balancing safety and fun is a tall task when fooel dealing with the extreme and oppressive temperatures. for families out here enjoying a beach day here or campers downstream, it's top priority.

5:00. new details about a shooting involving police officers last night. within the last 40 minutes, we learned a man has been charged with attempted murder and can show you what the shooting looks like. today septa police relowsed video from body cameras. when officers arrived on east somerset street, they found a man holding a gun to a woman's neck. that street erupted in gunfire. this is only some of that video. the police chief said he wanted to release the footage so the community could see and hear some of what led police to shoot. >> three septa officers fired at the suspect. that suspect was shot in his right shoulder and both legs. the shooting is under investigation.

picked up a few passengers including a woman and her toddler. steven fisher is live at this station where that it cab can was stolen. >> it did happen here in the parking lot. i want to draw your attention to this surveillance camera. it shows the cab driver helping his customer and the customer steal ing his car and no good deed goes unpunished. >> reporter: e he walks her to the atm and become outside to the parked cab. over the next hour and got bizarre. the driver and the the woman were just off camera around the back of the cab. around 11:30 after arriving, you can see this woman is visibly upset and started pounding on the hood of the cab.
