an air-conditioned place. erika martin is here with the hot forecast. >> that's right. another day of dangerous heat. this first alert in effect for today until 8:00 p.m. it ib colludes the entire viewing area. nobody is excluded. we are seeing temperatures in the mid-90s. triple digits again. in effect until 8:00 p.m. on friday. feels like temperatures 100 degrees and higher. dover 87. really impressive here. feels like temperature 104 degrees. why is that? because we have the really high dew points so it does effect the feels like temperatures. that's what we talk about when we talk about feels like temperatures. the dew point is 82 degrees. it will make it feel a lot hotter than the actual

we'll join you again in another 30 minutes for an update. >> thank you. philadelphia police looking far gunman. this happened just before midnight. police say a caretaker was help ago man into his house when two men showed up with guns and forced the door open. the 36-year-old man tried to hold the door shut. one of the shooters opened fire. the caretaker tried to run and was shot in the leg. all of this happened while a woman and four kids were inside that house. we have details on the death of this four-year-old girl. gunter's mother claimed the father of one of her other children is to blame. >> she is not breathing. i don't feel her pulse. >> that's from the 911 call she

made tuesday after her brother found her unconscious inside their apartment. gunter said the stepdad beat the child because she refused to eat. we spoke to a relative on wednesday. >> whether it be him, her or them, justice is going to get served. >> her other children are now in foster care. detail in the dais of a woman that stole a taxi and started picking up customers. surveillance video shows thomas climbing into the cab and driving off. investigators say she drove off and started picking up passengers. a half hour later they found her

police say they shot an armed suspect when he refused to stop points a weapon. police found a woman with a gunshot wound to the neck and the woman in critical condition. in bucks county a witness who cracked a cold case murder testified he was not apartment when shaw allegedly raped and killed a 14-year-old. this is video of shaw from february. sanders said he helped shaw hide her body in 1984. the trial continues today. take a look at the porch that chapsed. you can see it and we are working to find out what caused the porch to fall down. no one was hurt. time now to check on the roads. it has been a very light day.
