we have a break. more rain is moving in and some isolated storms. i want to show you radar and satellite image. reds and oranges just north of trenton, starting to fill in around fell. now we're starting to see greens move in across the jersey shore and storms moving from west to east. i want to show you storm reports. several all evening and all night long. we do have a wind gust reported in camden, 59-mile-per-hour wind gust. also downed trees, medford, time of report approximately 7:08. we've been seeing damage reports all evening long. i expect more. satellite and radar image picking up on storms moving in our direction. egg harbor expect one or two isolated thunderstorms at approximately 11:48 p.m. just after midnight for atlantic city. here's your forecast starting this at 11 pp, a few pause points. we do see some more

thunderstorms moving in but then clearing right around dawn. it looks like we get a break in those showers. it looks like we'll have more rain returning by later sunday into monday. coming up, i have your most accurate forecast. we'll talk what to expect for your sunday and for the following workweek. >> this evening the storm wreaked havoc on a trailer park causing a large tree to split a home in half. unfortunately, that family was not home. brandon hudson is live in camden with a closer look at the damage. >> reporter: denise, this is the worst damage we've seen. to give you perspective how large this is, i'm six foot. you can see just how large and how tall this thing is. the mother who lives here was out with her children and came home to find out they're now homeless. like a hot knife through butter, this trailer was no match for the tree that fell on it. it the family returned home to a

heartbreaking surprise. it was an emotional site for neighbors who came to check it out. >> i never thought it was like this, like cut the house in half. she got little kids. >> reporter: this woman said branches fell on her home, too. unlike her neighbor, she can sleep at her place tonight. >> a tree that hit my house but it went to the side. nothing bad happened. >> reporter: this evening's storm was quick and caught quite a few off guard. mother nature greeted dinner guests with a downpour leaving muddles in parking it lots. workers scrambled to adjust. still some soldiers on to eat, broken foot and all. although severe weather had everyone talking tonight, this day began hot sticky and humid and it didn't stop the home at the latina festival. day four of the heat wave was great for allison who runs a shaved ice truck. she said today was a good day. >> when i'm driving around the

murderer is still free. >> my mom would never climb a fence. she would never talk down to anybody. she would never provoke any violence because she knows she had have to make it home to me and my brother. i don't understand why he's still here in his house, let alone not in jail because it is not self-defense. it's just strictly murder. >> the family says they understand that there's been major changes within the district attorney's office but they want charges filed. august dempsey and bob dee paul were shot by dee paul's neighbor last sunday. the neighbor says they were all arcing and dempsey and dee paul started climbing his fence. the man said he felt threatened and shot them both, hen called police. new jersey state troopers are out of the hospital tonight after breathing in acid at a battery plant. now police were responding to aburg rather an alarm at the batteries plant. when the they went inside, they found a leaking could be

takener. all three troopers had trouble breathing but expected to be okay. the president fired off a series of angry tweets this morning including one asserting his complete power to pardon. "the washington post" reported earlier this week the president has been inquiring about his ability to pardon aides, family members, even himself in connection with the russia investigation. >> i'm not aware of any president giving a pardon in an effort to stave off an investigation. that is i believe unprecedented. >> and tonight, more potential russia complications for the president. congressional leaders reached an agreement on sanctions against the country for election meddling and military aggression toward neighbors. a section of the bill calls for a congressional review if the president was to ease or end sanctions. this afternoon, president trump said america's enemies will shake with fear when they see the "uss gerald ford headed their way.

the president made those remarks today as the commissioning ceremony for the $12.9 billion aircraft carrier named for the 38th president of the united states. the "uss gerald ford is billed as the world's most technologically advanced into your klee powered aircraft carrier. police are searching for the person who shot a man in the head tonight. police found the man dead on thomas street. they set up a tent to cover his body. police say numerous rounds were found near the body. and new details on a murder at the jersey shore. police say they arrested a 49-year-old man after a woman's body was found inside her apartment. this happened at the wesley inn on wesley avenue in ocean city. paul klein was arrested on first degree murder charges. investigators say he killed 54-year-old denise webber who was dating klein and living with him at the time. next on "nbc10 news at 11," still raging, the most destructive fire in the country seen this year keeps on eating

. now to california where eight large wildfires are still burning out of control. the most destructive came so close to the historic california tourist town of mariposa. today some folks returned home to find their places spared. others not as lucky. the detwiler fire destroyed 60 homes. it's large enough to be spotted from space. firefighters are finally making progress on the fire as temperatures are starting to cool down. john heard, the actor best known for playing macaulay culkin's dad in home alone" died today. he played played peter mcalister in the home alone" series and played tom hanks' rival in the movie "big." he earned an emmy nomination for a gest role as a detective in

here is our satellite radar image giving us an idea of when you may be expecting one or two more storms. approximately 11:59 p.m. atlantic city. just the break it looked like 12:02 a.m. right around midnight. ship bottom just after midnight. we're not done yet. we do have more rain and isolated thunderstorms moving through. we have several reports of damage, in fact, throughout this entire evening and for tonight, we've seen hail it, walnut-sized hail, also marble sized hail, strong wind gusts, downed trees and just west of the lehigh valley, we even had a report of a tornado. thankfully, not around here. current temperatures in philadelphia, 82. we do have a southwesterly wind. wilmington 78, allentown 71 for you. 77 for vine land. atlantic city currently 81 degrees. but the good news, it's not as muggy as it has been.
