because of storms headed our way. let's get to erika martin. >> that's right. we do have a first alert for heavy rain and flooding issues. the pa suburbs, delaware and south jersey. one of the biggest would be the jersey shore starting at 3:00 p.m. today through 3:00 p.m. on saturday. rounds of heavy rain, flooding is likely a flash good warning has been issued for south jersey and delaware. it will be in effect for two weeks. it ends at 2:00 p.m. on saturday. satellite and radar picking up on plenty of clouds in our direction. we are seeing lightning strikes to the west, a sign that we do

erika is here to bring us up to speed. >> that's right. we are tracking a system moving our direction. there is a cold front hanging across our area. it will become stationary and we'll have a ser ri of low pressure systems moving across that. it is because this will stay right over us it will allow far lot of rain to accumulate. we are not seeing a lot going on here. what we are plainly seeing is clouds moving our direction. to the west and southwest we are seeing heavier pockets of downpours. all of that headed into our direction. we do have a first alert that has been issued until 3:00 p.m. on saturday. a flash flood watch in effect until 2:00 p.m. on saturday. we wanted to extend that by one extra hour until everything clears from west to east. so again, locally we are seeing clouds developing very quickly.
