of places to eat around here. people were out and about. with you witnesses told us they heard the shooting and saw a man with a red hoodie. that is the suspect who they say cursed at them as he was running away. >> a manhunt is under way for this man. he's wan inside a murder at this haverford township apartment building. >> heard two shots fired. heard some you know, yelling of some kind. males yelling, and then placed the call to 911. >> police say the victim came here to visit a friend but never made it inside the apartment. >> the friend still inside the apartment heard gunshots, came down stairs and found the victim laying in the doorway. >> the he fled up toward eagle road and disappeared in an alley. he yelled an expletive an those who saw him running away. as for the victim. >> they pulled out a guy on a stretcher. they were resuscitating him. >> he was pronounced dead at the

hospital. while the search continues for the killer, police say there is not a threat to the general public. >> we think he may have been targeted for some reason. may know the shooter. we don't think it's a random shooting by any stretch. >> and police are still trying to piece together exactly what happened. they say surveillance video shows before the shooting, the suspect walking up haverford road. that victim comes out of a pizza shop just feet behind the suspect. but police still don't know exactly when those two men clashed. if you have any information they're urging to you give them a call. reporting live in haverford township, aundrea cline-thomas, "nbc10 news." >> take a look at this. streets turned into rivers at the jersey shore thanks to heavy rain and flooding early this morning. this was the scene along ventnor avenue in margate. the rain was pooling in more than just the streets. water is accumulating behind the sand dunes after the heavy rain.

neighbors say in some areas the water is knee high. to get to the beach, you either have to wade through it or take a long detour around. the dunes were an unpopular project to begin with. one the city even fought in court. now neighbors say their worst fears have been realized. >> i would describe it as a mess created by people that were not very thoughtful about what they were doing. we had a beautiful beach here. it's been ruined. not only ruined in terms of the views but they've created a dangerous situation for all the families in margate. >> according to department of environmental protection, the sand is extremely saturated and will take time to drain. the dep is working with the army corpse of engineers how to address the situation. >> time for the first alert neighborhood forecast. let's go to meteorologist erica martin. >> lauren, they can't catch a break for today across the jersey shore. along the jersey shore and the delaware shore. we also have a coastal flood

advisory issued, starts at midnight till 6:00 a.m. for atlanta, cape may, cumberland and ocean counties. we're also talking parts of delaware shore. the issue is we're expecting wave heights forecasted anywhere between 6 to 10 feet during high tide which is between 1:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. localized road flooding is a major concern. satellite and radar image shows the rain clearing out of our viewing area. at least that's good news. of course, astronomical high tide a major concern through the overnight hours. current temperatures mainly in the 60s. a few low 70s. i am tracking the potential for a heat wave to kick in by tuesday into wednesday and thursday. details coming unin a bit. lorn, back to you. >> three people are in the hospital after a triple shooting in north philadelphia. it happened around 7:30 tonight on north 21st street. two of the victims are in stable

condition. no word yet on third. police say they recovered a weapon at the scene. a camden family is heart broken tonight after a fire claimed the life of a 4-year-old girl. leoni williams died after the fire ripped through the row hopes. her grandmother spoke exclusively to nbc10 and said the 4-year-old was sleeping downstairs on the couch when the fire broke out. >> they told me they found her in the doorway. she was trying to get out. >> early indications show nothing suspicious about that fire. investigators say the smoke detectors were working. president trump took to twitter again today faulting fellow republicans for their failure to pass a health care bill this week. meanwhile this weekend, it is out with the old and in with the new as john kelley takes over as white house chief of staff on

monday. reince priebus is leaving after serving fewer days than any white house chief of staff in history. there have been no one specific reason offered as to why he is out. but earlier this week, new communications director anthony scaramucci bashed priebus with vulgar language in an interview. his replacement general john kelley offers combat experience instead of political connections. it may bring new structure to the president's team if he is given enough authority. if the president's behavior goes unchanged, then it suggests that no staff change can improve thing for his white house. >> kelley is one of the longest canning commanders and aligns on president trump on positions on terrorism and immigration. protecting health care in philadelphia was the focus of a rally outside of pat toomey's office in old city this morning. the group called on congressional republicans to reject efforts to repeal the affordable care act. next on nbc10, wildfires

philadelphia firefighters are taking on a new battle, cancer. tonight they held a fund-raiser and the money goes towards one of i don't remember own. bill finnegan whose young daughter is fighting cancer. 11-month-old beatrice will be going through chemo treatments for the next 19 weeks. they say the help they're getting from their firefighter family doesn't come as a surprise. >> you can see them do awesome things like this all the time. they're always taking care of each other. so it's fabulous and wonderful and -- >> beatrice is being treated. firefighters were hoping to raise at least $10,000 tonight to help with her treatments. next on nbc10 news, the final moments of his life. tonight the new video showing a teenager just before he died during a border stop. and terror attacks foiled. a manhunt ends up with four men

four people are under arrest in australia accuse affidavit plotting to bring down a plane. the arrests came after raids in sydney. police have yet to file charges against the suspects but the prime minister said the plot appeared to be an elaborate conspiracy rather than a lone wolf operation. security has been increased at sydney airport. newly released surveillance video shows the last moments of

a teen's life just before he drank liquid meth and died. the 16-year-old was stopped by federal border customs agents in san diego in 2013. the agents suspected he had drugs inside bottles in a backpack. the teen told them it was juice. so an agent told him to drink it to prove it. hours later, the teen died. his family sued say agteen was coerced into drinking the liquid and they got $1 million after a settlement. the border agents involved in this case have denied any wrongdoing and remain on the job. right now, there are more than 20 wildfires burning in canada's british columbia province. the biggest fire has consumed more than 500 squal miles. tonight some residents were allowed to return home. more than 5,000 are still under have orders. many people have spent the last couple of weeks living at emergency sheeters. more than 20,000 people had to evacuate immediately during a

the delaware shore including cape may, cumberland and ocean keens. we're concerned with wave heights anywhere between 6 to 10 feet. the hours of 1:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. localized flooding including road flooding. now, doppler estimated rainfall totals already for the jersey shore at least for atlantic city it, over 5 inches, cape may over 3 inches for you. so this is a really big concern as far as that coastal flood advisory that has been issued. so once again, we have to talk about flood safety. avoid floodwaters, evacuate if you do see that water rising. turn around, don't drown. that's really my best advice to you. we also have a small craft advisory that has been issued through the overnight hours and has now been extended till 5:00 p.m. on sunday. so this includes the fact that we have sustained wind speeds between 21 and 38 miles per hour
