back to you. seven are a sosons in just month. federal agents are joining the push to find that arsonist. nbc 10 investigative reporter george spencer live in center city. some pretty big reward money on the table for information leading to an arrest. >> reporter: that's right. those federal investigators announcing that significant reward this afternoon and the facts that they do now have significant leads in this case. they are confident that this arsonist is someone with an axe to grind, a resident of that building who has now set seven different fires there. nbc 10's cameras were on the scene just last night outside the sterling apartments on jfk boulevard for the most recent of those fires. that build cigarette a renovated luxury building with 1,000 residents. one bedroom apartments there start at $2,000 a month.

atv investigators say this string of arsons back in mid-july. all fires were set in hallways and other common areas between the 5th and 9th floors. there's a $10,000 reward for information. >> any fire whether it's small, medium, large, it doesn't make a difference, anybody who intentionally tries to set a fire, especially in a large residential building like that, is as far as i'm concerned a very dangerous person. >> reporter: even though number of those fires were large in their own right they did cause significant damage in part because of the automatic sprinklers and the fire department's response. atv investigators say other center city residents do not need to be alarmed. this seems to be an isolated situation at this sterling apartments where security has now been increased. reporting live in center city, i'm george spencer, nbc 10 news.

accidental alert. members of temple university were sent a text alert by mistake warning them of a bomb threat on campus. temple says the text again was not supposed to go out. it was a mistake and there's no cause for alarm. we're working to learn the identity of a person who died in a motorcycle crash in cherry hill. three motorcycles traveling north on king's highway when one crashed with a lexus killing the rider. the bike then wiped out a second motorcycle, that second rider should be okay. take a look. police tell us this is the car involved in an unsolved hit-and-run. it happened own jackson drive yesterday. when a landscaper jumped on to the car, after allegedly seeing its driver steal his leaf blower. the driver slammed on the brakes sending that landscaper flying. he'll be okay. president donald trump

spending some time in new jersey. right now the first family is heading to trump national golf club in bedminster. they will spend the next two weeks there while the white house undergoes regular summer time repairs. we'll show you the impact the presidential will have on the area. the united states workforce has fully regained jobs that were lost in the recession. more than 200,000 new jobs were created in the move july but plenty of people are still looking for work here in the delaware valley. we caught up with some of those job-seekers who say the numbers don't always tell the whole story. it's one of the largest career fares the city of philadelphia has ever had. hundreds of job-seekers filled the pennsylvania convention center to meets one-on-one with more than 50 potential employers. >> i'm looking for work in the i.t. industry or media. >> i'm looking for a different

we have posted a phone number and welcome back site you need to sign up for those classes on our nbc so app and nbc10.com. jeffrey sandusky the son of jerry sandusky is now standing in front of a judge. jeffrey is facing child sex charges after he was arrested back in february. prosecutors say he asked two underage kids to send him nude pictures and to perform a sex act. he's been suspended from his job at a prison in central pennsylvania. his father, jerry serving 60 years in prison after he was convicted on 45 child sex abuse counts. a former bucks county nurse secretly recorded patients is pleading guilty for his crimes. 45-year-old james close was arrested and charged back in february for recording undressed patients at penn medicine dermatology. they found more than a dozen

videos of eight women on his phone including a 17-year-old. he'll be sentenced to three months. he's in custody until then. police in chester are investigating their 21st homicide of the year. put that in perspective. the city had 26 total homicides last year. the latest victim was found shot to death after account last night. investigators said daryl fuller jr. was shot multiple times. police are still searching for his killer. in about an hour local mothers will gather to call for an to end gun violence. the group unity in the communities is hosting a mother's plea rally in south philadelphia. mothers will share their stories of how they lost a child and make a plea to the community to put down the guns. a delaware man sentenced for killing his friend nearly ten years ago. >> he's also linked to a murder in another state. how the insurance policies of both victims played a key role for investigators.

collusion is intensifying. we learned mull certificate working with a grand jury to look into russian meddling. >> i spoke with chuck todd moderator of "meet the press" about what this grand jury could mean for the trump administration. what is this bipartisan push to protect mueller signal? >> i think it signals that you have the united states senate in particular as an institution where you have more and more particularly on the republican side of the aisle right now concern about the issue of russia. i think if it wasn't -- if the president would put on an air of cooperation on the russian investigation you would not have republican senators joining with democrats to have legislation that would essentially protect the special counsel if he got fired. that would prevents this president from making recess appointments. the fact that this is republicans putting up these guardrails, if you will on the

slaughter was the beneficiary of masters live insurance policy. in 2010 slaughter was arrested for killing another man in georgia. he was also the beneficiary of that victim's insurance policy. today in new castle county fire damaged more than four dozen units at apartments in wilmington. smoke was coming from the entrance when they arrived on the scene. everyone made it out safely. people living in the damaged apartments need to find another place to live. in atlantic county we learned the identity of a swimmer who went missing in atlantic city. witnesses called police when they saw the body of jeff affirmative wilkins floating in the ocean. he was last seen tuesday near steel pier. the 31-year-old was from illinois. new video out much camden county of a theft in action. it happened on north 27th street

back on july 6th. the man is later seen walking away. if you recognize him call camden police. there is a push in new jersey to offer medical marijuana for more than 40 conditions not initially covered by the law including autism, chronic pain, anxiety and migraines. a states panel made the recommendation in a letter to the health inspector. a chance to break down barriers in camden county. >> a summer program hopes to smooth the tension between police and the communities. the blue knight explorers program is designed to show kids firsthand what emergency responders do like working in the k-9 unit. >> we show them how we investigate a crime from beginning to end. we actually created mock crimes. >> other officers tell us the program helps kids build their confidence and leadership
