new castle county. officers focused on a home on stanton road this afternoon. nbc 10 talked to witnesses who saw troopers with the guns aimed at windows. neighbors tell us they saw one person taken into custody. four men who police say were involved in an attempted robbery and police standoff are still in jail. the suspects were involved in a two-hour standoff. we watched it unfold live here. the four men broke into a home at random and put a gun in the homeowner's mouth. and neighbors called 911 and he was attacked but should be okay. new leads, but no arrests in the dirt bike hit-and-run of a woman in pleasantville. he was hit by a dirt bike. the driver jump ed off his bike

and ran away. the woman is now in good condition. this storm water ponding on the beach in margate is making waves all the way to the federal courtroom in camden. the residual water is a result of new dunes being built in margate. residents and business owners say rain water didn't drain as initially planned. a judge will decide whether to lift the ban on the construction. > . >> the hearing could continue tomorrow. the ban expires friday. the fire that destroyed an ice cream hut was no accident. the ocean county prosecutors office says a canine investigator detected flammable liquid. it was one of seven beach huts used to sell ice cream to beach goers. certainly enjoying the

westchester. firefighters are dealing with carbon monoxide-related injuries. let's get to mitch blacher with an update for us. >> as we continue to follow this, we're learning of a few more evacuations at this point. e we told you in the last 15 minutes about a restaurant down the road being told to evacuate. that's down the road from 200. the justice center has also been told to evacuate. 12 firefighters injured when they responded to a fire call but discovered carbon monoxide. many of them suffering carbon monoxide poisoning. four of those firefighters have been taken to the hospital while

more breaking news. a suspect has thrown a molotov cocktail at two sheriffs officers who were trying to serve a warrant. this is along pine street. the officers were burned and were taken to the hospital. you can see a lot of activity there on the scene. >> we can also tell you that the suspect is barricaded in the house and mcdaid boulevard is closed in that area. nbc 10 has a crew headed there on the ground. as soon as we learn any information, we'll bring it to you. to this now, a bucks county man will spend 15 to 30 years behind bars for the murder of his ex's boyfriend. he pleaded guilty to killing a man last summer.

he was jealous of his relationship with his exreportedly and walked up to the couple and shot him. a new jersey man who repeatedly duped women out of money in dating schemes was sentenced to five years in prison today. must pay $40,000 in restitution. prosecutors say he told women he needed money to move close to them, but paid them back. he was sentence d in 2007 for a similar scheme. citizens bank park ranks better than most when it comes to food safety at baseball stadiums. . it's home insurance made easy. summer camp concerns. worries about safety have parents pulling their kids out of the program. it's a story only nbc 10 is looking into. cherokee day camp is in bensalem. there are three weeks left in the program there. denise nakano has been digging into the concerns of participant wos send their kids to this camp. >> this camp they called themselves the best camp in bucks county. but parents say the financial problems are putting their kirn at risk. >> safety concerns are what prompted a group of parents to ul from cherokee day camp. >> after i sent my husband there and we couldn't find an adult to talk to, i had no choice but to take her out.

nbc 10 breaking news. >> we are following two major breaking news stories. a standoff in delaware county after someone threw a molotov cocktail at police. plus 12 firefighters hurt in a carbon monoxide poisoning in chester county. good evening, i'm jacqueline london. le will begin with this breaking news of the firefighters hurt. tim furlong has just arrived at the scene in westchester. what are you learning? >> reporter: kind of a weird situation here at this point.

we know 12 firefighters were hurt, one with serious cardiac arrest. if you look down here, this is the main drag through downtown westchester. lots of people were eating outside when all this was going down. they all now have been told to get back into restaurants and were eventually evacuated. i know the guy that runs this restaurant here. he told me most of the businesses were told to be shut down for a little while. some people are still in their stores. investment services, i have been trying because his business would be next to where this happened. and an electrical fire underground. when firefighters responded, clfs a carbon monoxide situation and that led to the firefighters being joured. all these people were outside at the time. you can see police ask emts have taken over this area right here. and they cleared everybody out of the area. we're still trying to learn

more. we understand a public information person is supposed to come our kwa to update us on the situation. what we can tell you is 12 firefighters hurt here in westchester. smoke inhalation. one of them more serious were hearing cardiac arrest. my coworker is around here. some people said they might have smelled gas. people on the phone with us said they smelled gas in the air. so we're still getting details. in terms of what actually happening, it does not seem to be an urgent situation where they are fighting some sort of fire. but clearly there's a situation serious enough they have told everybody to get out of the store and clear out of this area. now to more breaking news. this time in
