we were there to cover all of the bleaking developments. our team coverage continues. our reporters have been working to get updates all night long. we begin with new video of the suspect who threw a molotov cocktail right at a sheriffs officer. police took jeremy jones to jail. jones 20e8d us i never tried to kill anybody. police say he had even more explosives. nbc 10 was there as police destroyed up to seven molotov cocktails they found inside his home. jones facing numerous charges. his neighborhood is still recovering from an intense afternoon. >> scared to death, man. guy blowing stuff up, man? what the hell is going on out here? >> a neighbor reacting to what happened right outside his home. police zeroing in on a barricade

the delaware sheriff's deputy is recovering from second-degree burns. the suspect will be arraigned tomorrow morning. he's charged with more than 15 counts, including attempted criminal homicide, endangerment. now in the search for a dangerous look at the rifle he was shooting before police finally arrested him. brandon is live where the suspect crashed his car trying to get away from police. brandon. >> reporter: the spoeruspect crd in the ditch just beyond us. it put many people in danger, including the families in this development and children at a day care. >> sky 4 was the only to cache this suspect hand kuftd. he didn't get too far after he ditched his truck. >> i was actually in the

backyard putting chicken on the grill. i heard a crash, i heard sirens. >> she said she didn't see the suspect run away but did see one of his guns. a high-powered rifle. >> i saw them pick up a giant gun. >> police are still waiting to charge the suspect. they tell us us he has a significant criminal past. investigators say he fired his rifle in the heir. >> this officer would have been authorized to use force but she didn't. there's a day care back there. multiple businesses back there. >> then to the bucks county neighborhood. they finally caught him on devaro avenue, 14 miles from where he left his truck.

couldn't smell the carbon monoxide it created. >> anything could have happened underground. >> it was enough to shut down two blocks of gay street and evacuate neighborhoods and businesses in the heart of downtown westchester. >> smelled like plastic or electrical wires burning. >> crews entered this office building where they say the electrical panel was on fire. they believe it's from a smoldering cable underground. the assistant chief became overwhelmed by elevated levels of carbon monoxide caused by the smoldering cable. >> when he came outside he did collapse and he was unresponsive momentarily. >> they grabbed a stretcher and pulled him out. he was just laying there. trying to breathe. >> once the guy started reviving limb, he came around. firefight to the hospital as a precaution.

a plea from the indian community to help solve the murders of a south jersey mother and her son. they urged residents to speak up if they know anything. the woman and her son were killed in their apartment complex in march. the burlington county prosecutor says this case is still very active but so far, no arrests. residents are playing a waiting game. a judge is expected to rule tomorrow morning on the ongoing doom debate. the city of margate passed. the large ponds created over the dunes is a temporary problem. the environmental engineer says this is the worst public health hazard she's ever seen. >> they're stumped. they knew that margate did not need this. >> my concerns are for the health and safety. my grandchildren are coming down
