threat how they should find safety. back to you guys. this morning back in our area philadelphia police looking for a gunman who shot a driver at a traffic light. we get the details from nbc 10's pamela osborne. she is live where the victim is being treated, pam. >> reporter: rosemary, at last check the 24-year-old man was in critical condition after being shot several times. it happened last night in the city's oxford circle neighborhood. the victim was stopped at a traffic light when a white vehicle pulled up beside him. he fired several shots through the driver's side window and door. the victim was hit multiple

times in his left siend and tor torso. a person who witnessed what happened. one resident tells me he heard about five shoss loos night. >> an a har hourer later there was an ambulance. every now and then you do hear gunshots here. >> reporter: the suspect being described as a man in his 30s with long hair and a beard. he was last seen driving a white car, possibly a 2010 buick. i'm pamela osborne, nbc 10 news. >> thank you. officers were called to walton avenue. the alleged gunman ran inside a near by house. the s.w.a.t. team moved in and captured him. the victim suffer add graze wound. police looking for the couple whom officers say took an

argument too far. they resorted to using pepper spray. philadelphia police pinpointed the moment a woman got out of her suv and pepper sprad someone sitting on a stoop. prior to that the woman and another man argued over a parking space in that area. a victim tells us the had choice words with the couple. >> the couple left in a black hyundai. officers are looking for them. scary moments for a father. he has his three-year-old son back. philadelphia police reunited the

dad with the toddler. according to investigators he left his car running while he went inside of a sneaker store. police say that's when the chief jumped in and drove off. a short time later a bystander discovered the boy strapped in his car seat outside after a fire station. >> he was calm. >> i wasn't going to leave that child there. i wasn't going to leave him. he was in the heat. >> police found the car a few hours later and arrested the child. today legal battle over a controversial case involving the dune project returns to court. city leaders are urging a state superior court judge to renew a temporary restraining order. the hearing comes one day after a federal judge rule that had the army corp. of engineers could continue under certain

continues today. yesterday in court police testified that the video was some how deleted. the attorney is calling it a monumental cover up. we have an update. >> reporter: an day four of the hearing a courtroom shocker. detective claiming that the surveillance system from the basement from the fraternity was intentionally destroyed two days after timothy's death. he was asked what happened to the footage in the basement he responded it appears to be deleted. the fbi is analyzing the security system. >> the big question becomes what could be so bad on it that it needed to be deleted versus the video we have seen which naturally was pretty horrible.

it means the temperatures peak around 80 degrees. into the 80s, low 80s to middle 80s inland. we would get warm wither but the clouds have been slowly increasing. jersey shore 78 in south jersey. seeing mostly cloudy skies. there have been some breaks of sunshine there. look at fox chase into the low 80s. at this hour for chestnut hill. these neighborhoods will also warm into the 80s. it is likely to stay dry in philadelphia this afternoon. center city at 84 this afternoon. clouds building though in the suburbs. we have seen a few sprinkles in some spots. a chance of an afternoon shower. a better chance we'll see late orphan showers and thunderstorms nearing the lehigh valley. many neighborhoods may stay dry

this afternoon. for new jersey sunshine, a few clouds. temperatures are at the shore. partly to moesstly sunny skies. you'll see sunshine and clouds. it is a combination of both. that's during the day today. this evening the clouds will be increasing. you have seen clouds already moving into the lehigh valley. not expecting any showers with those. the showers have not been impressive so far. give it time. tonight and tomorrow we will likely not only get showers but also thunderstorms with downpours. this is a big system. it stretches from canada into the south. that's a cold front coming our way. this is sunday's weather. nice and dry and clear. until this passes us we'll have clouds and the chance of some showers and thunderstorms. no. there's no a lot of activity right now. you can see some bubbling up.
