i'm pamela osborne, nbc 10 news. >> thank you. we'll see you for an update in the next half hour. happening now a memorial just getting started for the victim in the charlottesville violence. heather heyer was killed when a car ran into a crowd. the 32-year-old was from charlottesville. she worked as a legal assistant. she was described as a firm believer in justice and we qty. groups continue to express their anger. in atlantic city they will join at city hall to publicly denounce racism and bigotry. it will happen today at noon. today a march starting and ending at art street united

methodist church. organizers say they already have hundreds planning to show up. that rally begins at 7:00 p.m. one woman is okay after she was trapped on the roof of her home while her exboyfriend was in a standoff with philadelphia police. he became upset after they handed him a retraining order. he told her if she called 911 he would shoot police officers. she climbed onto the roof and called 911. he eventually turned himself in and is now in police custody. the woman was not hurt. no one injured during a house fire in philadelphia's neighborhood. everybody made it to safety when flames hit just after 2:00 this morning. crews got it under control in just under 30 minutes. they are now looking into the cause of that fire.

new video shows a robber wanted in a hold up at a wawa in south philadelphia. this is surveillance video of hinl outside the store. he went into the store two weeks ago, pointed a gun at two workers and demanded cash. they gave him the money and he ordered them to the floor before takingoff. the man seen urinating has durned himself into sba. he even made a lewd gesture at the camera. the fog has moved out and we are left with plenty of sunshine. plenty of people enjoying the beaches at the jersey shore. this is a look at the people out in cape may.

the death toll stands at more than 300 people. thousands lost their homes in the disaster. take a look at this new video taken moments after a large tree fell on her mother and her young children. you can see a first responder holding the woman's baby boy. the woman was carrying a child and pushing the other two in a stroller. the mom briefly lost consciousness. the family is expected to be okay. first alert weather. >> live picture outside. we have a clear blue sky overhead. we are left with nice conditions. it would be really nice if it weren't for the fact that humidity is up. as a result it is going to feel steamy with dew points in the upper 60s and low 70s. it is typically when it start to feel kind of wet outside.

selfies earlier this morning. we also watched as someone egged it a few minutes before we saw you at the top of the 11:00 hour. a man ran off but was taken into custody by police. >> can you tell us why you egged the statue? >> that was police saying not right now. he was in handcuffs at the time. he did move his hands over and do a shushing motion my way. he never verbally answered why he did that. councilwoman tweeted her desire to have it moved telling us rizo's values and believes don't line up with the city we live in now. the major sayo -- mayor said it up in a public process.

>> i'm not a big fan of the statue but it doesn't mean that i can't, you know, tear it down. i don't think that's a good thing. >> he says if the public wants it down opponents will have to start the same process that it took to put it in place. they have set up barricades to go around the statue. it wasn't a deterrent for the guy that threw eggs at the statue. nbc 10 news. >> thank you. in the wake of the white nationalist rally across our country. just last night the city of baltimore removed four confederate monuments. the city council sited when it adopted a resolution calling for immediate destriks.

the mayor said she contacted the maryland historical trust and identified confederate cemeteries where they will spend. a large wooden wall put up in the downtown area. the city was making plans to have that monument removed. a new state law prohibits the alteration of monuments more than 40 years old. if the state's attorney general it could be fined $25,000. in california a monument to con federal soldiers will be moved from a los angeles cemetery. more than 30 are buried in the hollywood forever. the cemetery agreed to get rid of the monument after facing pressure from activists. the business chorld is having a mixed reaction. yesterday a fifth business leader dropped out of the white house's manufacturing job

we are at 79 in the pennsylvania subur suburbs. you can see pretty blue clear picture over the lehigh valley with fairly light winds right now. upper 80s for delaware and we should see more sunshine. it is 87 in the pennsylvania suburbs. a dry forecast again in terms of chances of rain just an isolated chance over parts of south jersey. we are looking at a nice day except for that humidity. we are also tracking hurricane g gert. impressive hurricanes. winds up to 90 miles per hour. it is moving out to sea but it's effecting us because it's chu churning up the water. that means dangerous potentially life threatening waters out there need to stay out of high surf. always be aware there's a life guard present.
