last night protesters chanted tear it down. earlier in the day someone threw eggs at the statue. critics say he reigned over the city when police brutality was the normal. those that worked with him say he is credited with ending practices that kept african american police officers from manning patrol cars. no prose testers came down first. they first started on broad street. it was part of a march that ended with a rally at a church on arch street. thousands packed the streets. organizers were meant to unmask white supreme si. it was in response to the violence that happened last weekend. last night hundreds there participated in a peaceful candle light vigil in memory of

the search for five missing soldiers remains a search and rescue mission. the identity has not been released however we do know there were two pilots and three crew members on board the black hawk while they were conducting a nighttime training mission. this morning the power ball jackpot up to more than half a billion dollars after nobody hit all six of last night's numbers. estimated $510 million is now up for grabs. even if you didn't win the jackpot you may have won nothing. you may want to take a look at the ticket. 9, 15, 43, 60, 64. the power ball is 4. we are looking at sunshine into the shore east and never had any fog this morning.

there were just a few spots of fog in south jersey. right now sunshine and temperatures are climbing at the nbc 10 studios. might see a few clouds billowing up this afternoon. i think showers will wait for most locations until tomorrow. avalon here this morning. with sunshine that crowd is growing rapidly. we are seeing more clouds in delaware. we have seen a few isolated showers, just light stuff moving through. there is a chance we'll see pop-up showers and possibly even a thunderstorm this afternoon. so those clouds are producing a few showers this morning. the activity has been staying to the south. it is dry for philadelphia, trenton. look at this for allentown and reading. there are changes on the way. we'll see clouds ahead of a cold front that's producing showers into michigan and indiana and

farther to the south. this is a strong system that will be slowly moving our way. we won't see it today. we'll get to some of the clouds later today. tomorrow is when we are likely to get showers and thunderstorms especially late in the day. this is with what's going on right now. the hour by hour forecast keeps the activity to the west during the day today. early tomorrow morning clouds will be here. later looking at mostly cloudy skies. take a look at this line to the west. that's the cold front that's moving in with a chance of strong storms during the afternoon and evening commute. by 7:45 in the evening storms are moving onto delaware and south jersey. look how nice and clear it is behind those storms. friday evening it will be clearing out. it will make for a really nice warm but sunny weekend with showers out of the picture for most locations. maybe a lingering shower but not in the afternoon. 88 in delaware and 89 in philadelphia.

over the weekend. it's where white supremacists were carrying torches. it started as a demonstration against the removal robert e. lee. the tipping point came when a driver rammed his car. counter protesters killing one woman and injuring 19 others. yesterday a sea of people filled the campus of the university of virginia in charlottesville. marchers covered the same ground where hundreds marched last friday night. last evening the scene was quiet and peaceful. more than a thousand people packed a theater as well. she is a 32-year-old woman killed on saturday. her parents shared stories about the woman they remember fighting for what she believed in. >> they tried to kill my child to shut her up. guess what? you just magnified her. >> she loved people.

several people were left lying on the ground. you can see it further back and they shut down stores along popular outdoor malls. we'll continue to follow this story. somebody in a white van driving up and hitting a crowd of people there. it is unclear if it was accidental or intentional. stay with us. police are investigating the death of a man who led officers on a chase. hours later he fell. they are trying to determine if it was accident stal or intentional. new video shows a police cay nan officer in action. a deputy was chasing a suspect who took off from a traffic stop. the dog ran after the suspect

and took him down within seconds. he held the suspect until the officer ace rooifed to put the man in cuffs. more new video from britain. a gang of moped drivers. a bystander recorded it all. they used hammers to smash the glass at the front of a london jewelry store. nobody was hurt. the suspects are still on the loose. we have seen plenty of well known people throw out the first pitch at a ball game. some times it goes well and other times not so much. it was a blooper for ages. take a look. he is a red sox super fan. he got to throw out the first pitch but it went over the catcher's head straight towards a photographer. the pitch hit the poor guy right below the belt.

>> we figure that's who the abusers were. she finally adjusted. she is a quiet dog. she lays around most of the time. that's about it. >> that's not a bad thing. >> i think you bring up an important point. it's important to ask all kinds of questions. will this dog get along with other pets? does she get along with young children? this dog has some type of adversity or particularity towards men, women, whatever. also, what kind of training is involved? >> we are told by the behavioralists we would have to keep an eye on her because of the problems that she has had. but once we got her out of there she just calmed down and started getting along with everybody except for men of course because of what they did. >> uh-huh.

tourists. it is about 5:40 in the afternoon right now. you can imagine this part of barcelona would have been flooded with tourists. we understand from eyewitness reports that people heard a metallic sound and then screams and crying. there is another report of someone hearing something that sounded like gunshots. that has not been confirmed by parse low th barcelona police. they have said that a van crashed into pedestrians, mounted the sidewalk and crashed into people on foot and there are multiple people injured. it's not clear yet according to barcelona police whether it was an intentional crash or if it was some sort of accident. they are not labeling it either way at this point. the investigation very much live. in the fast few minutes there are reports siting local media
