there's one big difference from yesterday to today. the train involved in had this crash has been removed considered now evidence. we're learning some of the victims have retained lawyers as they are seeking justice. >> 32 passengers in the operator of the high speed line train were injured when officials say the occupied train crashed into a train just after midnight tuesday morning. >> we wanted to make sure we understand exactly what happened with the crash and i think we have deployed in the federal governme government. >> they recovered the record in that showing the operator at the time of the accident. that video has been sent to ntsb headquarters in washington, d.c. where it will be analyzed as the investigation into how this happened continues. tom wolf says to prevent future accidents, they need to continue to invest wisely.

in court today. d.j creato accepted a plea deal to first degree ingaggravated manslaughter charges in the death of his son. he told the judge he deprived his son of oxygen. he faces up to ten years in prison. it comes after a jury was dead locked on the case in may. a retrial set for next month. >> this guy is get iting away wh murder. it's disappointing if somebody is saying they did this to their child. it's crazy in my mind. >> retired superior court judge joining us to discuss the case that is captivated our attention and what may have triggered today's plea. >> detectives traveled to georgia to interview a man wanted for murder on the main line.

we're expecting cooler weather tonight. >> it's been a a welcome change. this is comparing the temperatures now to the temperatures yesterday at this time. we are 10 degrees cooler in philadelphia. allentown, trenton, we're 8 degrees cooler in mount holly and vineland. our humidity is way lower. instead most of us are in the low 80s. philadelphia at 82. and dover at 81. as we go to the evening. it's going to feel very nice at almost fall like in the days to come. here's a look at the radar and satellite view. we have had some clouds that have been hanging over cape may county. and then you see the blips of green. might be a little sprinkle over parts of southern delaware and cape may. not a lot of rainmaking it to the ground.

the app and on nbc 10 news at 11:00. a man is in critical condition after being shot in the stomach and legs. it happened this morning. police don't have a motive or suspects. a man wanted for stabbing a woman to death is is under arrest in philadelphia. police say the 54-year-old killed diamond stone in a home on high street in potstown last month. investigators say holmes knew they were looking for him so he was hiding out in philly. he's charged with first-degree murder. a couple charged in the death of their 2-year-old son vend issered to police this morning. the toddler was found dead slumped over his crib in april at the couple's home. documents show the 8-year-old son told police his mother and stepfather put together a contraption to try to keep his brother in his crib. >> the toddler was contained

discussions. the prosecutor probably made a different plea bargain offered to the defense than the first trial. obviously because of the mistrial in the first case. that opens up probably a line of communication and then ultimately a plea agreement was determined that was appropriate to both sides and entered into today in open court. it's not at all unusual that before retrial that this would happen. >> he could be out before he turns 30. what do prosecutors say to those being very vocal that this is far too short of a sentence? >> they say things like the defendant had no prior record. the first case ended in a mistrial. sometimes as we know half of a loaf is no loaf at all. if this case were to be tried again and ended up with the same result, for all intents and purposes, this case would be

by county across the region today. in north hampton, police are reaching out to residents for help identifying a suspected armed robber. this is surveillance video taken inside the penn jersey station. lis say the man point ed a gun t a clerk and demanded money. they found $300 not far from the scene. the police chief believes it's the cash taken from the store. in camden county, police are trying to identify this guy. he's accused of shoplifting from a walmart in berlin township. if you know this man, police want to hear from you. witnesses say a 14-year-old girl was using face time on her phone when she was hit by a car this afternoon. it happened just before 3:00. witnesses say the girl was face timing when she walked on to highland avenue. there was no way the driver that hit her could have avoided that accident. the driver did stop to help the
