right now at 11. bracing for impact. hurricane irma has become the most powerful storm ever recorded in the atlantic ocean. the category five hurricane is getting closer to islands in the caribbean. leaders warn the damage could be cat strask. it's unclear if the storm will make a direct impact on the united states. the preparations are well under way. president trump declared emergencies in florida, puerto rico and the u.s. virgin islands. tourists have been ordered to evacuate. and the sporting eventing have been relocated. the field in pittsburg could host sunday's game between tampa and miami. the weather team got an update on irma's path. let's go to tammie souza. >> i wish i could say it's

changed and will move out to sea. that's not the case. it's on a steady path to the west. you can see it's about 50 miles just to the east. it is still on a collision course just to the north of the u.s. virgin islands. look at the well defined eye. bigger than almost all of the' ward islands. and bigger than the u.s. virgin islands. that's still continuing on off to the west. you can see it here on satellite imagery. all that out flow is almost a perfectly symmetrical hurricane. the only thing that will slow this thing down is itself when it has an eye wall replacement. category five. 185 miles per hour winds. look at the pressure. one of the lowest recorded. thursday still a category five. moving north of. perhaps weakening to a four near cuba. it looks like the done will be taking it anywhere from the east to west side of florida. i think florida is probably going to be right in the bulls

his own students. new tonight we found out police think the crimes have been going on for years. >> reporter: the suspect ran his dance group out of this headquarters at 54th and market. while he's known as keeping kids out of trouble, he's the one in trouble with the law charged with sexual assault several of them. >> i'm trying to give our kids hope. >> reporter: hope is not what comes to mind in an community that entrusted a dance instructor charged with sexual assault. >> you never know. >> police say he sexually assaulted children several times over a span of nearly ten years. with the first crime happening in 2008. the last, june of 2017. >> reporter: he started dollar boys. a philadelphia dance troop described as a youth led movement. that attracts thousands of children eleven to 17 years of

age. >> he had a lot of kids with him. >> reporter: we rent to his neighborhood on sergeant street where he was raised and where people remember him since he was a child. >> he was doing video and dance groups. so it seemed like a nice guy as far as i can tell. >> reporter: he's charged with indecent assault. sexual assault. corruption of a minor, and other related offenses. >> he was released from custody last night. police are looking for other possible victims. new information now about a car crash involving two highway workers in montgomery county. one worker has died. and another is in serious condition in the hospital. sky force ten over the scene on broad street. police say the two men were painting road lines around 2:30. when they were hit by a car. the victims work for the township highway department. the driver did stop at the scene. tonight in north philadelphia a memorial

continues to grow on the temple university campus. in honor of a student murdered. 22 year-old remains found in wayne county on saturday. after she disappeared near campus last thursday. josh is now charged in her murder. and police say they know he did it. we spoke with students on campus today who say they're rattled. >> it's really weird. we're the same age, we both started the same week and in the same program. it really hit home. so i'm taking uber home a lot now. >> investigators say they know how certain parts of the crime happened, they are still trying to fir you out why. now to the latest in the case of the body dumped on a street in trenten. the victim has been identified as 43 year-old. her remains were found in a trash bag at steam boat street. before 5:00 yesterday evening. the cause of death hasn't been determined. no arrests have been made. also tonight, dreams dashed.

dozens gather tonight to show support for young immigrants. after the white house announced it is end lg a program that allowed undocumented children to stay in the country. trump administration says no one will face deportation for at least six months. now the ball is in congress's court. keith jones is following the latest developments tonight. the president may have ended the program. he's really pushing congress to come up with an alternative. >> trump said he had no choice. and gave congress the six months to come up with a fix. meanwhile here at home, protests erupted. >> we must feel the anger with each new cruel act. >> reporter: signs, sadness and solidarity. on rodney square in wilmington. dozens rally for daca which protects 800,000 young undocumented immigrants brought here illegally as children. >> that's almost a million people who will no longer have

work authorizization in the country. at immediate risk of deportation. >> they wouldn't let us inside where many are undocumented. >> we will continue to be undocumented and unafraid and fight back. >> reporter: across the country, protests in the streets. the president responding. >> i have a love for the people. and hopefully now congress will be able to help them and do it properly. >> reporter: tonight former president obama said in a statement. quote. to target these young people is wrong. they have done nothing wrong. and it is cruel. >> we can't just stand here tonight. there are things we have to do to fix it. >> reporter: migrant communities come together. >> it seems as though we can't let them down in this way. it's immoral. it's wrong. i haven't slept well since the election. one thing after another is affecting my ability to stand up for the country that i became a citizen of. >> the president trump claimed

in the end it will quote work out very well. interestingly if congress can't come up with a fix he tweeted tonight he'll revisit the issue. live in the breaking news center. we're getting a look at the driver facing charges after crashing into a black party in philadelphia. police say 22 year-old mcknight drove on the sidewalk and hit nine people. it happened around 4:00 yesterday in point breeze section. mcknight is charged with dui. all nine victims which included senior citizens and a pregnant woman will be okay. a broken water main led to this massive sink hole in montgomery county. over the scene on shafr road. you can see the water just pooling off after the street caved in about 20 customers did not have any water. while the repairs to the line were made. service has been fully restored. thieves put a young girl's

edge. >> this is the neighborhood where you'll find parents on the porch and children playing in the street. five year-old girl was here on the sidewalk when she was grazed by the bullet. witnesses say the shooter ran this way and was captured on several surveillance cameras. >> reporter: corner store surveillance video captures the frantic moments after a shooting that hurt a five year-old girl. it shows a man in a black shirt drop his arm, run away and tuck something into his pants. seconds later a store employee directs another man chasing the person in the black shirt. >> i was upstairs in the office of the restaurant. and i heard six or seven pops. >> reporter: he owns a restaurant around the corner from the shooting on west fifth street. >> i came downstairs and you could smell the gun powder. and people were in a frenzy. goose bumps thinking about the swas. >> reporter: news of a five year-old girl grazed by a bullet doesn't surprise him.
