breach run into a roadblock trying to freeze their credit. and what police say is stinking up their neighborhood. right now at 11:00, an nbc 10 exclusive. only our cameras were there as officers raided a massage parl near one of center city's most expensive neighborhoods. >> tonight that business is shutdown, and three women inside are facing prostitution related charges. nbc 10's drew smith is outside the massage parlor. i know neighbors have told crow this place was a real nuisance. >> reporter: yes, there is a lot of foot traffic down here with shops and restaurants. but the spa business is down a dark dead end surrounded by homes and condo buildings. the neighbors say they'd had enough. busted in one of philadelphia's most expensive neighborhoods. only nbc 10 captured police leading two men from this ran

std business into the back of the police car. minutes later an older woman taken into custody. police tell us the charges are prostitution related. a neighbor who did not want her face on tv says she's been explaining about this for nearly a year. he documented the lines of men, only men ringing the doorbell alt all hours. >> it's a safety concern. and jiem going to try to put everyone in my neighborhood in the best environment i can. >> reporter: they made a prostitution arrest at this same location several years ago. online a search of it brings up an online ad with a racy photo. they scraped the surveillance cameras off the side. now there's a cease operations orden on the front door. >> they did an amazish job

weeks. the council has now called an emergency meeting for tomorrow. now to our first alert weather. irma is no more, but tonight we can't ignore another storm still churning in the atlantic. >> tropical storm jose is moving up the east coast. the question now will it move closer to land and where? >> tammy watching the latest updates on this storm. the forecast still very uncertain, but we do need to keep an eye on it. >> if you have any beach plans or live near the ocean, we're going to keepten aon it. they call it life threatening rip currents with this. right now it's going to encounter very warm-water. it's going to head right near florida, right in the southeast, go to the 80s, up toward our area. the water temperature is in the 70s. but by then, this storm will be

pretty powerful. pick up some speed and be a category 1 or category 2. this cone has shifted further east, but it is quite close to the philadelphia area. here's a quick look at what all the forecast models are doing. some of them take it straight into perhaps new england, and others take that curve into the atlantic. one of the thing we're keeping a close eye on is the beaches. and right now we have a moderate risk for rip currents. this is going to become high risk as we head into next weekend and text week. right now the problems just keep growing for equifax and the millions of customers who had their personal information exposed. tonight the federal trade commissioner has joined a growing list of agencies investigating the credit monitoring company. >> in the meantime consumers hitting more and more roadblocks as they try to protect their information. what are the options here the.

means for your credit. only here on nbc 10. new information about a deadly school shooting in washington state. the 15-year-old suspect says the student who was killed bullied him. police say kaleb sharp took an assault weapon and a handgun from his father's gun safe and then took them to school in a duffel bag yesterday. according to court documents sharp told investigators he wanted to quote, teach everyone ailous on about what happens when you bully others. classmates say the sophomore was obsessed with scho obsessed with past school shootings. >> it's our intention to charge him as an adult for premeditated murder. because this young gentleman got sucked into a counter culture of violence. >> three other students were also shot but are expected to be okay. nbc 10 is recovering new details about the death of a freshman lacrosse player at

lafayette college. we also learned a number of players from the lacrosse team were there. an autopsy showed the 19-year-old died from blunt force head injuries. but what led to those injuries is still unclear. board members fought an earful tonight. members of our city, our schools coalition say the clock is ticking. they passed the src meeting calling on commissioners to disband and hand control over the schools. the state controlled board can resolve itself but it takes a full year for a phase-out. today rollins appeared in court three weeks after being captured in georgia. a judge agreed to delay the case

because rollins is still in the process of hiring a private attorney. he's accused of shooting ask killing john lee. he also allegedly fired shots at two people in philadelphia's -- neighborhood hours before the murder. new information on the search for the ininteresttruder who police say tied up and robbed a 75-year-old man inside his home. they're looking for this man. the victim's sister was asleep inside the home at the time of yesterday's attack. he made off with her car and purse. they say he's a former neighbor, and the victim tried to help him in the past. >> also tonight neighbors in one philadelphia community are asking what is that smell. >> we find out what's causing such a big stink next at 11:00. plus a divine makeover. we take you inside the transformation of a philadelphia

the company is closed for the day. >> i can't take it anymore. >> reporter: what does it smell like to you? they're working to correct two separate older problems. the health department says the mulch producer and supplier stopped using appellate which caused a fecal smell. a melgt department spokesperson in a statement said, quote, we received complaints yesterday about research of the mulch order but upon inspection we did not issue a violation. >> it is nice britain industries has responded. we just want to make sure they continue respond. >> reporter: he said the company is in compliance with local, state and federal guidelines. he told us britain is also street sweeped regularly to clear the dust and dirt.

which is expected to make a very close pass with the east coast and maybe make a landfall. but at this point it stays offshore. and now we are watching a brand new system, this giant wave coming off the african coast. that is now tropical depression 14, expected to become tropical storm lee tomorrow. that is weeks away. so we're basically going to focus on what's going to happen here at home. so let's go on and take a look. for the most part, just spotty showers out there. temperatures going to drop into the 60ers over night. tomorrow showers up to the low 80s. maybe a spotty shower out there. and temperatures will generally be in the low 80s. sunday in the the same thing. i think we'll see cloud cover, and somebody might see an isolated shower. that's about it. here's your neighborhood forecast for tonight. 68 in philadelphia, 62 in lee

high valley, and jersey shore coming in at 67 with an isolated shower or storm. for tomorrow we are going to see clouds, maybe a bit of sunshine out there. but over cast certainly because of the remnants of irma passing by. 80 in philadelphia, 83 in south jersey. and in delaware you'll see 9. a shower or storm is possible. a chance of a shower tomorrow or saturday. if we're going to see anything to do with jose, it's probably going to come in here tuesday or wednesday. definitely a very high surf all through next week. lighting up the parkway. how you can take this special ride next.

you'll soon see real works of artmericing their way through the streets of philadelphia. you can even ride one of them. they're launching a collection of 20 bikes wrapped in paintings from the barns collection. the first ten bikes were unveiled tonight. the rest will launch in may. and take a look at this. ben franklin parkway was aglow in the light of fire fly tonight. these are adrned with special light. the idea is reminiscent of china. it's part of the parkway centennial celebration. fire fly runs through october 8th. how you doing? eagles hit the road again this sunday. of course taking on the chiefs. fletcher cox was out to make a statement. you don't want to miss what he said to say. plus, reese lightening strikes again. even his own teammates are shocked.
