has had a good night tonight, too. you see the elite quickness of devonta freeman and some of the speed of tevin coleman out of the backfield. both excellent receiving running backs. now, it comes down to, can they create a little space? because you want to throw it, but be relatively safe in how you do that. and throws to the backs, usually a pretty good option here. >> al: 11-point game. this one is certainly not over. for some of our friends, it is over. you get my drift. 5:46 left. 34-23. and they start this drive with freeman on the ground. gain of three up to the 24 yard line. julio jones had a red-hot start. early in the game. meanwhile, green bay is going to use a time-out right here. they want to stop them, if they can, three and out, obviously, is what they want to do. take their time-out, at this particular point.
11:31 pm
and hope to get the ball back. and they need, obviously, a touchdown, a two-point conversion and a field goal, somewhere along the line. >> cris: dean lowry coming slowly off the field, their defensive end. they're getting thin on that defensive line, now, with mike daniels already out. >> al: and there is lowry, being worked on on the sideline. >> cris: they have quinton dial in there, who basically has been there for a week or so. >> al: he was a healthy scratch last week against seattle. former 49er. >> cris: interesting. they're staying with the nitro formation, with morgan burnett as the linebacker position. just will assume they will start throwing it here. >> al: there's matthews saying that was a mals start the and it was. >> referee: number 81, offense.
11:32 pm

side. with the safety coming down, you have two different slants coming inside, you have to cover julio. and that creates opportunities for the other receivers. that was a big play. >> al: here's another big play in this, a wildcat here. sanu -- mohamed sanu will take the snap. and they run the option instead. pick up a first down with freeman on the ground up to the 39. i would have been shocked if he had thrown it there on third and inches. freeman takes it for the first down. now, they can chew up more of the clock. >> cris: nicely done over here on this side of the line. pure power down. remember, the defensive linemen out for the green bay packers. and that was just a huge first down, after that penalty. >> cris: after the penalty and the pass completion. that procolluded green bay taking a time-out.

11:36 pm
>> michele: green bay has had to deal with a boat load of injuries tonight. we know now, they came in without their two starting offensive tackles. jordy nelson downgraded to out. daniels, out with the hamstring. kentrell brice, a big special teams contributor, out with a groin injury. randall cobb, still questioning with his shoulder. add davon house to the mix. >> al: that's a full house. i'm telling you. a lot of guys will be in therapy this week, as they get ready for a game against senate ifcincinn. aren't the bengals thrilled about that? at lambeau. and a thursday night game against chicago at home. third down and three. >> cris: the man coverage is there again, if they want him. >> al: matthews blitzes. it's caught, at the 45 yard line by mohamed sanu. i don't want to say that's the kill shot, but pretty close.
11:37 pm
you had green bay using their time-outs. and now, matt ryan can just milk it for all its worth. >> cris: sanu's really proven himself to be a first class third down receiver. watch his patience here go up, fake out, come in. just enough space to complete it. big, strong hands. he has been a great complementary receiver to julio jones on the outside. >> al: the ball at the 45 yard line. and ryan can take the clock all the way down. going to take it down to the point where he takes a time-out, with 3:13 remaining in the fourth quarter. atlanta up by 11. of course, next sunday night, you got derek carr, you got kirk cousins. you got the raiders who are 2-0, against the redskins, who lost last week to philly, but

11:39 pm
this guy has been around for a relatively young guy. >> al: second and eight. keep it on the ground again. if i'm not mistaken, when the raiders are making a change in the middle of the decade, i think sarkisian was the first choice of al davis. and he passed. he pulled himself out. and wound up going to lane kiff kiffin. that didn't work out. he went to s.c. sarkisian went to washington and then s.c. and that didn't work out. >> cris: no. it didn't. >> al: all is good on the eastern front for tonight. two-minute warning. falcons on their way to a win, 34-23. ♪ oh, sunday night sunday night ♪
