hurricane maya. millions are without power and we are learning new details about how the u.s. is responding to this crisis. earlier today the white house waved the jones act. it allows supplies to be delivered more quick ly to puero rico. many are waiting for aid. we are learning a limited amount of crippled infrastructure is making it hard to deliver supplies. fema has delivered more than 4 million meals and liters of water to puerto rico. >> puerto rico's governor flew to the small town to get a firsthand look at the damage there. most of the homes are damaged or destroyed. half the town is without water. people in delaware are pitching in to help in any way they can. >> tim furlong spent the day with a man who says this crisis hits close to home.

one of those officers received a stand og vags. the congressman and four others were shot during a republican baseball practice. s offers shot and killed that suspect. a man may be. paralyzed after a robbery attempt. he wasn't the only victim. >> police say the man was walking to his girlfriend's house on 54th street when three men up and tried to rob them. he was shot in the back as he ran away. police say the victim had no feelings in his arms or legislation. a few minutes earlier, police respond a similar robbery on 58tth streets. happening tonight in south jersey, a community coming together to remember a mother kill ed inside a home where she was house sitting. she was found dead saturday. she was stay iing at her sister-in-law's house in woodbury. two children were inside that home when she was killed. neighbors are coming together to pray. they are meeting at a parking lot at 6:30.

an inkrecreased reward at soling a local murder mystery that's gone ub solved for a decade. he was killed on his way home from philadelphia's puerto rican parade in 2008. investigators say he asked a a passing car for help his car broke down. this is surveillance video from the area. when he got out, someone in that car shot him. he died at the hospital. there's now a $45,000 reward for arrest and conviction of his killer. first superstorm sandy damaged their home and they had problems with the program that was supposed to help. families are facing another sandy setback. tonight at 11:00, the investigators piece together a pattern of problems with the sandy contractor that's costing homeowners their storm relief money. our trust has been taken.
