of the rain from the leftovers of nate. that would be mostly early next week. unfortunately, we're starting to see more of a circulation right around the center. thunderstorms almost wrapping around totally. if that happens, it has a chance to strengthen fairly rapidly. it's moving to the north, northwest, so generally in between yucatan and also western cuba. right in the general direction of the gulf coast. and there's no way for it to miss the united states. it just can't possibly. the winds are up to 60 miles per hour. it's moving fast, so that limits the number of hours of potential strengthening we have here. by saturday afternoon, it's close to hurricane strength. and getting fairly close to new orleans. the track takes it somewhere between new orleans and pensacola, florida, and then by sunday afternoon it's already way inland as a tropical storm. and by monday afternoon, it's

to the back of his head. the boy jumped over the table and continued to punch my son. >> josh was suspended for using foul language before the video started. the school district will not say what happened to the boy who threw the punches, however. he's in charge with offensive touching. new details are emerging tonight in a las vegas shooting investigation. as investigators continue to work around the clock to hone in on the gunman's motive. new clues are suggesting stephen paddock may not have been alone in the hotel suite. nbc 10's national correspondent sarah dollop has the latest from las vegas. >> reporter: high above the las vegas strip workers are replacing the windows shattered from sunday's attack. 58 lives recognized by people bringing flowers, candles and prayers. >> i felt like it was something i needed to do. pay respect for those that were lost in this insanity. >> reporter: five days after the

to pay his respects to the shooting victims. during an event at the white house today, president trump said the hearts of all americans remain heavy. >> all of america is praying for the wounded and the grieving. and we will be with them today and we will be with them forever. >> the president also praised the first responders and, quote, every day heroes who helped save countless lives. the debate over a device the killer used to make his guns more deadly continues. >> they are called bump stocks. now some lawmakers want to ban them. the device can turn a semi automatic rifle into a nearly fully automatic weapon. it allows it to unload bullets in seconds. in delaware, both u.s. senators co-signed a bill that would ban bump stocks. >> there have been positive comments from both republicans

control coverage under new rules starting today. today, the trump administration rolled back regulations guaranteeing insurance coverage for contraceptives. employers can opt out of coverage for religious or moral reasons. the aclu filed a lawsuit against the decision. coming up at 5:30 weer talk to doctor who says she's been seeing a rush to get birth control since president trump took office. a daycare worker is on administrative leave but it's not clear why. the catholic early childhood center sent the letter home to parents. it stated action was taken following an alleged incident at the school, which is located at st. matthew's catholic church. officials noted in the letter that the aide obtained appropriate background checks and child abuse clearances. so far, no charges have been filed. take a look at this new video. police say this suspect swindled a chipolte out of $100.

do. president trump has full confidence in his secretary of state, despite reported discourse between the two of them. nbc news reported this week that rex tillerson called the president a quote, moron in july. tillerson he never thought about resigning. today he addressed a class of foreign service specialists. >> i'm still learning. even at this ripe old age, i learn something every day. learn from the people around you. this is an institution with enormously rich talent and experience. please, soak that up. >> tillerson also apologized today vice president pennsylvania and ambassador nikki haley. the u.s. lost 33,000 jobs last month after hurricanes. experts say it should rebound in the coming months.

unemployment rate fell to a 16 year low. it turns out even more pennsylvanians are impacted by the equifax data breach. an additional 107,000 people were affected. that brings the total to more than 5.5 million. last month, the credit reporting agency admitted hackers exploited a software flaw the company didn't fix, compromising the personal information of millions of americans. two people have been charged with a shooting on the set of a denzel washington movie in boston. two security guards were hurt but it doesn't appear they were targeted. the shooting happened saturday on the set of a sequel to the equalizer. nothing was being filmed at the time. the guards were treated at the hospital and then released. two 18-year-olds are charged would assault with the intent to murder. in any trouble and is actually lucky. new jersey state troopers found the dog on the side of interstate 280 in newark. he was lying beside a dead p pitbull and didn't want to leave. they eventually got her into a car. she's at a local animal shelter. to an early morning fire in port breeze. it caused damage to a building that used to house a church. the vacant building once housed the mercy seat tabernacle baptist church. smoke detectors were the focus of attention. grant of nearly one million dollars from fema was given to buy the life saving devices. the money will go towards installing alarms for people who can't hearo see. here's a live look at rush hour traffic on i-95 in wilmington. be warned you may want to

matlock threw the four month old dog during a fit of rage. the puppy landed in a vacant property and had to be rescued by firefighters. doctors were able to fix his broken leg with surgery. in newcastle count a research company opened its new global headquarters today in wilmington. the new facility houses 700 employees. the new headquarters will change delaware. >> folks of all age and backgrounds from nations around the world of different disciplines and strengths and skills brought together to create. not just to pound out some commodity, but to actually discover. >> the company hopes to expand to a thousand employees in three years. in montgomery county, two first responders in new hanover township became ill after responding to an overdose last week. they believe the officers were

on guest cell phone pictures to remember their special day. amanda says she found a photographer through a facebook ad. she called the number, and the two hit it off. >> she seemed really genuine and nice. >> reporter: the couple agreed to pay the photographer's 300 fee, a price below the average of more than 2 houn dolla$2,000. she wrote two checks, one for $150 up front and the balance just days before the september 29th wedding. >> on the 28th she wrote me a message and said i'm sorry i can't do your wedding tomorrow. >> reporter: amanda says the shock was overwhelming. >> i started crying. because i wanted pictures of my big day. i worked so hard for that day. and potentially not having any pictures was heartbreaking. >> reporter: is this the contract? >> yes. >> reporter: this contract she signed promises a refund if the photographer doesn't show up. but amanda says her calls and text messages for a refund were not returned. so she called nbc 10 responds to
