set to begin in about an hour and tonight's meeting comes after holly glen elementary school in williamstown was shut down for a mold problem. cydney long is joining us. i would imagine most parents are upset? >> reporter: some are upset and in disbelief. a number of parents have shown up an hour early to the emergency meeting. it doesn't even start until 7:00. they say the closure of schools is precautionary but the parents are not buying it. for the second time in a week, monroe township parents will look for transparency. >> my concern as a mom is what are my kids breathing in. >> reporter: they want answers about mold that grew inside

holly glen elementary. >> we're seeing pictures of all of these pictures of mold. there's big spots of black mold. it's not something that you obviously can't see. kids that are in the school are taking pictures and taking them home to their parents. >> reporter: they can't imagine why staff or teachers didn't speak up. >> is it the retaliation from the school district or a fear of losing their job? regina turned her garage into school supply central for students and teachers. >> everybody had to be left behind in case it was contaminated and some of our students had to leave all of their supplies in their desks, their backpacks.

>> are they going to have crews come in and see where the mold is coming from? it's got to come from somewhere. >> reporter: parents are scrambling for child care and answer. >> we just want to know where we're going and what is happening. >> reporter: as parents wait for the doors to open, we drove to every school in the district and at the back entrance of radix elementary, we saw a moving truck and an hvac cleaning crew and a number of desks and chairs piled up outside. we're live, cydney long, nbc 10 news. >> all right, cydney, thank you. the library is also closed in montgomery county in cheltenham.

there will be a new hvac system installed as well. we're learning a beloved community leader shot to death in her home nine months ago may not have been the intended target. nelson was arrested in connection with the murder of winifer harris who was shot to death in her west philadelphia home back in february. according to investigators, nelson and another person they are looking for were in the wrong house and allegedly killed harris for no reason. they are familiar with the man. he's been arrested 15 times before and he was already in jail on unrelated charges in delaware county. also new tonight, we're learning more about the victims of a four-car crash in the northeast. sky force 10 was over the scene about an hour ago. a 40-year-old man was pronounced

dead at the scene and a 40-year-old woman and 11-year-old boy were taken to the hospital in stable condition. the intersection is still closed and it's causing a big backup. in camden county, a crash killed four people and injured two people. they lived on the same street, about a mile away from the crash site. this happened in gloucester township. about why this happened, that's still a mystery. police are asking anyone who witnessed the crash to call them. an 85-year-old woman is in the hospital with two broken legs after she was hit by a car in fox chase. mabel was hit crossing pine road. she's out of surgery but remains in critical condition right now. the 24-year-old driver stopped. no word yet about any charges.

turning to our first alert weather, dreary and muggy start to the week. you needed those umbrellas here in wilmington. we're in the second week of october but it sure doesn't feel that way. it's still cloudy in center city. glenn "hurricane" schwartz is joining us now. when will it finally start to feel like fall? >> in about two days. >> all right. >> and then it will last about three days. it's only a temporary break. the skies are brightening up as the last of the showers move out across northeast philly all the way up to upper bucks county. again, just small showers, generally on the lighter side.

more in central pennsylvania and then the dry air in the great lakes, that's what is going to move in as the showers move out. and they be we'll let you know how warm it's going to get tomorrow and later in the ten-day, coming up. >> new at 6:00, philadelphia police arrest a local doctor for exposing himself to a patient. he's accused of groping half a dozen other patients while working at drexler university. drexler says he was fired back in march. he was a pain specialist who also taught medical students. his attorney says he's been wrongly accused. in a statement, the university told nbc 10, patient safety and well-being is a top priority in all of drexel's clinical practice and they have provided medical and counseling services.

now to the crisis in puerto rico, the orchestra is donating money from the west side story performances to puerto rico. they are partnering up with community cultural organization during the performance of "west side story." you can make donations in the kimmel center. officials say simon ridecki asked senator toomey to confirm whether or not his daughter had been kidnapped. he was pulled away and investigated for that question and they say the question was inappropriate and falls under freedom of speech. ridecki says it was a question about daca. >> you know, daca kids being

proposal is wrong on process and wrong on procedure. >> and we think we could work with it and there is a lot that we can't. >> reporter: senator carper says boosting the standard deduction could be positive but both raise concerns about taxpayers losing the ability to deduct state and local taxes. >> >> in delaware, a third of taxpayers would lose about $9,000. >> reporter: they have raised concerns about losing that deduction as well in new jersey and it's unclear what will be cut out in the president's plan that will be pitched this week. it's unclear what the format will be for the event in harrisburg but i'm told it's not being planned as a rally. one person not expected to be there, pat toomey who has been working on the tax plan.

woman at a local park and tonight they spoke about the incident and led to the arrest of the deputy. deanna durante just spoke with the deputy who offered her candy. >> reporter: she said it was a guy she didn't know sitting in a red pickup truck who offered her skittles, starbursts and porn. >> it's a family park. unfor unfortunately, we have this guy who wanted to do what he wanted to do. >> reporter: this woman didn't want her identity revealed. she said it was on october 3rd when she saw a man she didn't know at silver lake park in bristol borough. he was in a red pickup truck and offered her candy and then, she says, it took another turn. >> that's when he was holding up his camera on his phone or whatever playing pornography and had himself exposed and was

asking me if i wanted to come in his truck with him and watch porn and i said no and i got in my car and i left. they turned the pictures over to the police which led investigators to 39-year-old steven springfield, a deputy with the sheriff's office. >> performing lewd acts in a public place. >> look, that's what the allegation is and at this point in time, until we know more, it's impossible to answer. >> reporter: his client deserves the consideration of innocent until proven guilty. >> the fact that he was there in a public place sitting in his own vehicle alone, that in and of itself is not the end of the world. let's wait and see exactly who saw what, where and how.
