people they say were trying to sell the dangerous devices. good evening, i'm jacqueline london. >> and i'm erin coleman. police announced those aurss a short time ago. steven fisher is live in atlantic city. police made the bust before anyone got hurt. >> we are talking about a sniper rifle and five pipe bombs. the suspect tried to sell these weapons to anybody that would buy them. the 37-year-old and a 31-year-old were arrested last thursday when they sold high powered weapons to police officers. >> to have that kind of arsenal and gadgets in this area, it's unheard of. >> reporter: police say they were trying to sell a salvage rifle just like this one along with 300 rounds of ammunition and five pipe bombs that had instructions. they provided instructions and

national anthem controversy. the league commissioner says he has a plan for tackling player protests that could include a rule requiring players to stand during the national anthem. the commissioner told teams the plan includes working with players on key issues. he also said the league believes everyone should stand for the star spangled banner. nfl owners will go over the details next week in new york. president trump is suggesting changing certain tax laws. the reason he wants to punish organizations like the nfl if its members disrespect the national anthem or the flag. he's talking about players taking a knee when the anthem plays. the president asked why is the nfl getting massive tax breaks while at the same time disrespecting our anthem, flag and country. the nfl gave up the federal tax exempt status a few years ago so it's not likely president's proposal will change anything. >> tap the nbc 10 app for full

coverage of the controversy. the federal corruption trial of senator bob menendez is now in its sixth week. prosecutors spent hours introducing documents that linked menendez's associates. the democratic senator from new jersey is accused of taking gifts and campaign contributions from him in exchange for political favors. if convicted, he could face 20 years in prison. in delaware police say they have arrested a 15-year-old peeping tom. investigators say he was caught in the act b çexposing himself outside a home in middletown. they have tied him to at least five incidents dating back to may. governor tom wolves a ban on bump stocks. they were used in the massacre in las vegas. they essentially turn semi au automatic guns into fully automatic weapons. he supports plans to outlaw bump stocks. several lawmakers have said they

it will it's going to be coming through tomorrow. lingering until thursday morning. behind it some cool air is going to be headed our way. let's break it down for you hour by hour. need the umbrella when you leave the house because it will be used when it you come home. we could see a passing shower before dawn headed through perhaps delaware and into south jersey. it will be a mild night in the low 60s. look what happens. by toerl afternoon, we have showers across the area. perhaps even heavier showers and some thunderstorms. only the mid-70s if we're lucky tomorrow. then tomorrow night. still some spotty showers. they taper off. it looks like on thursday about mid-morning and maybe an isolated shower passing in delaware and south jersey in the afternoon. look at that. only into the 60s.

philadelphia is reviewing surveillance video after a bus driver was shot on his way to work. they were working to catch the bus in strawberry mansion when he was approached by a man who tried to rob him. the suspect took off someone saw the victim and drove him to the hospital. he's expected to be okay. >> police in camden county are stepping up efforts to keep drivers safe on the road. it's part of national put the brakes on fatalities day. police rening drivers to buckle up and obey traffic laws. last year 603 people died in new jersey car crashes. >>. turning to the weather as we enjoy another clear, warm october night here in philadelphia. along the river, a great night to get outdoors and enjoy the water. it's nice out there. i guess we should prepare for some rain. >> we should.
