car was shot to death moments later. in the hours since his death we have seen people gather at this location. for several hours. here to remember a young man described as a good friend and a good son. >> reporter: the site of the memorial at tenth and chestnut to enough to bridng her to tear. she helder emotions in check long enough to join others and pay respects. she said the 19 year-old visited her home often. >> rest in peace. i was like i just couldn't believe it. >> reporter: where friends place their memorial is where he died. police say he crashed his car into another here last night. witnesses say a man with a gun got out of the car and shot him in the head. he died at hospital. >> it's the worst call you can

receive. >> reporter: his dad spoke to nbc10 outside his home. >> this is really painful. i cannot describe what i feel inside. >> reporter: it's tough to put his emotions into words. he made one thing cheer. he wants justice. >> the file feeling there's nothing you can do to bring him back. and the guy who do that, he has to pay. >> his son recently graduated from high school. mishaven't named a person of interest or released the shooters description. live in allen town. yet another school in our area is being shut down because of mold. john kelly elementary in german town will be closed tomorrow. an employee sent picture ts from inside. the school district spokesman says the hvac system contributed to the problem. mold experts were called in

things they have here. there's a much different emotion toward the man who runs government meetings in the billion back there. people are really angry with what he's akccused of doing. >> reporter: a police officer kept watch. still no comment from the president of the township board of commissioners after his release on bail. >> it's stunning. it's gut wrenching. >> reporter: neighbors are shocked. this is the corner where kids board the school bus and the street where they will trick and treat. >> he lives a block and a half from me. and said how fun it was watching the children in the new park. >> police arrested the 66 year-old. he sent and down loaded hundreds of images of children. some files showed sexual abuse of toddlers and infants. even involving animals. >> i'm shocked, saddened, sickened and angered. >> township leaders are calling for his immediate resignation.

morning commute. >> tammie souza is here with the neighborhood forecast. >> we're looking at perhaps scattered showers on and off all the way through friday. at this point. but right now we're look at showers out toward atlantic city and another band malking it way in the lee high valley. i'll put it into motion. you can see it headed east. we had a few sprinkles in philadelphia earlier this evening. rain moving in through the over night hours and morning. redding and rich land. allen town as well. that's where we're looking at steady showers moving through. and that's what will continue over the next 30 to 60 minutes and it will make its way toward philadelphia. you can see a bit more out to the west. and the larger picture shows that we're going to continue to see east winds, temperatures will fall off. and rain will move through the area over night tonight. when i come back we'll talk about exactly how cool it is going to get for the next several days and how warm it will get for the weekend ahead. when the rain really is finally

going to shut down. new video in to nbc10 shows the devastation left behind by wild fire in northern california. just look at this aerial footage. you can see entire neighborhoods just reduced to piles of ash. three days now and firefighters still haven't gotten the upper hand on nearly two dozen wild fires burning up and down the state. death toll stand at 20. hundreds are still missing. and more than 3,500 homes and businesses are destroyed. tonight hundreds of families worst fears are realized. we were there as zerl homeowners return to their streets only to find everything they own is gone. this as authorities order new evacuations. it was an evacuation order that may have saved the lives of a local couple. a husband and wife from our area in the fires path. they describe the moment they knew it was time to lee their hotel. >> i see ash falling from the

sky. and at ha point, you know it's too close. and whether someone tells you to stay and it's safe or not it didn't make any sense. >> the couple was on a business trip. they got to san francisco before catching a flight back home. a violent night in chester levers two people dead and another shot. west ninth street for two men were shot and killed. you can sew a white tent there. officials are continuing to investigate. there have been no arrests. a similar scene earlier tonight on mcdowel street. you can see the street covered in evidence markers. police say about 40 shots were fired from what's being described as an oozy type weapon. one person was shot in the leg. the gunman is on the loose. president trump pitched his tax reform pitch to truckers. he told the crowd that typical household would get a $4,000 pay raise. >> we want lower taxes.

bigger paychecks. and more jobs for american truckers and for american workers. >> the president plan would cut the corporate tax rate from 35% to 20. cut the number of personal income tax bracts. and boost the standard deduction. we spoke with people in the crowd about the tax plan. >> i just want to see the middle class tax cuts he's talking about. and so that's what the country needs. >> we need to get going. he's got us going. it's time to honor this man. the american people put in. we put him in. >> president trump faces a battle on capitol hill. democrats have already criticized the tax plan and some conservative lawmakers are not on board. northeast philadelphia a teenager is in critical condition after he was shot while riding his bike. it happened near mcgee avenue. police do have a suspect in

custody. delaware county police want to find the man who robbed two stores and threatened workers with a knife. police release this surveillance video from one of the thefts. both robberies happened yesterday afternoon half mile apart. no one inside the store was hurt. coming up, epidemic emergency. over doses in one afternoon. tonight one of the patients is telling us about his battle with opioid addiction. what's in name? the boy scouts say girls are welcome to join. how the girl scouts feel about the historic change. opponents of the soda tax get a big boost. from another major city.

toll. leaders are sounding the alarm. >> live for us. i know you just spoke to one of the people who over dosed just today. >> i certainly did. a very scary situation that 27 year-old walked right over minutes after leaving the emergency room. he desperately wanted us to share his message. for those victims i'm told most of them were sent here. this morning to cooper university hospital. sometime between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 this afternoon. but i have been told no one has died so far. >> nobody took from you at hospital? >> nope. they didn't check my pockets. >> can i see it one more time? >> reporter: michael walking straight out of the hospital. and right over to our cameras tonight. showing us the heroin he claims he's about to use. the 27 year-old tells nbc10 he's one of the 14 users who over

dosed on fentanyl today. he spent several hours inside the emergency room. >> my hands were bound. they said i was freaking out. punching myself in the face. they said i was screaming at the top of my lungs and just dropped. >> reporter: nrch new jersey attorney general sent out a warning this afternoon. fentanyl is considered 50 to 100 times stronger than heroin. he claims he over dosed twice today on broad way. we're told all the overdoses happened within four hours most on broadway. some victims driven to the hospital by friends. he wants everyone to listen up. >> i have bald spots on my head. i have scars all over my body. because of the drug. i want every kid to understand they can stay away from this. i have ruined three families. >> you heard his emotional plea.
