prison. brandon hudson is live near the correctional center to break down the charges for us. >> news of those charges is slowly getting out here. we met the wife of a corrections officer here at this shopping plaza, which is down the street from the prison. she said she's still concerned for her husband's safety. >> although it's been months since the uprising that gripped the nation, she's worried it could happen again. >> a couple things we have been hearing about the inmates wanting to do something similar again. >> reporter: her husband is a corrections officer at the prison. today the department of justice charged 18 inmates with the two-day riot that shut down operations. they attempted to demand better treatment. 16 of those faced charges. nbc 10 learned the inmates

the ag said the amount of fentanyl coming into the u.s. from china is a massive problem. pennsylvania is using $4 million to help people suffering from opioid and heroin addiction. governor wolf made the announcement in harrisburg. it will be used to create health programs. in the last 90 minutes, joe biden responded to comments from president trump about former presidents and gold star families. you'll remember a reporter asked president trump whether he'd called the families of four soldiers killed. here's what he said. >> if you look at president obama and other presidents, most of them didn't make calls. a lot of them didn't make calls. i am going to be calling them. >> many have taken the president to task for his comments.
