i come back. >> this case and information just getting started. thank you. the nbc 10 investigators found out he had a wrap sheet with dozens of arrests. police arrested prince 42 times dating back to 2003. he served time for burglary and gun charges. they tell us he never should have been allowed to go free. >> we have to find a way to keep them behind bars. >> the last person prince shot yesterday was able to identify him to officers. police say that victim is in stable condition. you can count on nbc 10 to bring you the latest updates on this breaking story. we were first to update this p capture on the nbc 10 app.

you can get it sent straight to your phone. the victim ran to a house where he collapsed and died. somebody shot the victim in the chest. investigators don't know where it happened in the neighborhood. officers are hoping to generate leads in the case. a woman is hurt and a firefighter is recovering following a blaze. the firefighter went to the hospital with a knee injury. he is expected to be okay. we are working to find out more about the woman's condition. for a few showers emergency crews -- we don't know how this fire started. a woman is still ton loose this morning. the woman stole the car from the convenience store.

this is from a wawa yesterday morning. the victim says she went inside leaving her son in the backseat and keys in the ignition and that's when the suspect hopped in. the victim's son managed to get out before the car drove off. tag number 245559 delaware tags. asking for your help to get an armed and dangerous man off the street. they are looking for the man they say pulled off an armed robbery. according to investigators he gave a threatening note and lifted his shirt to show a gun? his waistband. >> it is last call for cities that want to join the bidding war. final bids are due today. amazon opened the bidding process last month pledging to

of $25,000 to the father of a different fallen soldier, a highly unusual move after chris baldrich said he had been having plun trouble. baldrich tells nbc that check has not yet arrived. president trump has recently made four trips to places hit by hurricanes but no plans to visit parts of california that have been devastated by the wild fires. the fires killed more than 40 people and destroyed thousands of homes and businesses. the dow fell shortly after trading began. this is a live look at the big board. this is down about 51 points but still well over 23,000. the dow rose above 23,000 for the first time ever. the indeks got a big boost.

we are learning new details about what spark add massive multi-state manhunt. we are live this morning in new castle county in delaware. he was arraigned via video monitor on several charges including attempted murder, possession of a firearm. there was another charge because of a previous felony as well as

a fourth charge for carrying a concealed deadly weapon. bail was set at $2.1 million cash. he shot five coworkers killing three at a kitchen counter top company in maryland before driving here to wilmington. once here he went into a car dealership where he allegedly shot jason ball several times. a friend of ball's says she can't figure out why he was targeted. she has been keeping in close contact with ball's mom. here is an update to what happened. >> my understanding, he is stable. that is good. that's really good. i'm just hoping he comes home. that's the bad thing about it. >> reporter: minutes's

preliminary hearing has been set. we are working to find out when he will bearraigned. i'm pamela osborne, nbc 10 news. today president trump and puerto rico's governor will meet at the white house to discuss the recovery effort on the island. much of the u.s. territory remains without electricity one month after hurricane maria hit. many people are without clean drinking water. governor met on capitol hill with u.s. senator marcorubio from florida. senator rubio appears to agree saying that the island needs to get its hands on relief funds quickly. >> it's not that it's not an urgency it's that it doesn't meet the demand of the storm. they have to k a sesz fends

gainesville. a white nationalist leader is set to speak at the university of florida. >> reporter: growing anxiety here in gainesville in anticipation of the arrival of richard spencer. if that name rings a bell it is because he organize nieds the gathering in charlottesville that evolved into violence and lead to the death of one counter protester. the state of florida has declared a state of emergency. that has laid into place more than 500 police officers that are here on campus. there are areas set aside. he said he hopes this is a peaceful gathering, a speech he hopes that results in nothing more. they want them to know they will make a point of making sure what he has to say is drowned out bay

and it is considered one of the most high profile in the state. he has made his career as a civil rights and defense attorney. republican grossman has ban prosecutor for 21 years. both are vying to replace seth williams. he went from top cute to to prison inmate after pleading guilty to a bribery charge. williams will learn his faith at a sentencing hearing next week. take a look at this new video from the jersey shore. it shows a buck stuck on the beach. he spent the day sitting near the surf taking in a few raies. this is near the border of seaside heights. they tell us animal control did respond but when the officers tried to approach the deer you can see he just ran off into the surf so they decided to just let

each day. we are above 60 and we have lots of sunshine and lots of time for temperature to continue to go up. it is 63 in harmony hill. it is 64 in middletown. farther to the south it is milton. it was down near 40 this morning there. it is 66 in georgetown and actually cooled off a little bit at the delaware beaches. it is 68 degreeses here. now, the temperatures, they are just going to keep going up. the average high this time of the year is 66 going into the 70s the next couple of days and then higher into the 70s. it's possible that some part of the area could get up to the 80 degree mark sunday or monday. in the meantime we have got very dry air all over the east and all over the midwest and all over the plain states. if you're going to get a map

tuesday and into wednesday then we are talking some rain and maybe some significant rain at that. as we go through the rest of the weekend once again climbing through the 70s by tuesday and into wednesday significant rain and thunderstorms. we may be able to get by the eagles game before the wet weather comes in. monday will be an unseasonably warm day. after that rain comes in we'll get much cooler and drier. we'll be right back.

a giant pumpkin is smashing records in idaho. a farmer says the pumpkin he grew is the largest ever in the state. it weighs 1,400 pounds. that's as heavy as a cow. it is 180 pounds heavier than the former record holder. it will be dropped at an annual pumpkin smash event. >> coming up this afternoon will be stopping by the ellen show then nbc 10 news at 4:00. it is being rip aid part far major facelift. it's the last piece of a five-part project. how much is this costing? we'll have those details at 4:00.
