store. >> the short-term later agents chased prince down and got him in cuffs. >> reporter: we did some digging on the paperwork. prince has been arrest ed a lot of times. he's been convicted quite a few times and also gotten off the hook on a few technicalities as well. >> what's next? the shooter is still in wilmington. prosecutors in maryland are going to get him across state lines. at a hearing this morning, the judge set bail at $2.1 million. next comes the decision to prosecute him in delaware first or send him to maryland where he's charged with more serious crimes killing three coworkers and critically hurting two others. a criminal defense attorney said since this is a high profile case prosecutors may want to speed up the process and make a decision as soon as next week. >> probably they say maryland

what led up to the call. the president asked him to to cay save and he told him a story about what someone said to him after his own son died while serving in afghanistan. >> let e me tell you what my best friend joe dunphy told me. he said, kel, he was doing exactly what he wanted to do when he was killed. he knew what he was getting into by joining that 1%. he knew what the possibilities were. because we're at war. when he died, and the four cases we're talking about, when he died, he was surrounded by the best men on this earth. his çfriends. that's what the president tried to say to a poor family the other day.

i was stunned when i came to work yesterday morning brokenhearted at what i saw a member of congress doing. a member of congress who listened in on a phone call from the president of the united states to a young wife. in his way tried to express that opinion that he's a brave man, a fallen hero. he knew what he was getting himself into because he enlisted. >> general kelly also said president trump bravely made those phone calls. kelly said president obama did not call the kelly family after his son's death, but he emphasized that that was not a criticism of president obama. live in the breaking news center, lauren mayk, nbc 10 news. >> turning to our weather, a warm-up back on the weather roller coaster. these people taking advantage of the warm-up with a visit to the

a glitch welcomed people who were logging in from pittsburgh to the city of brotherly love. facebook says it was a problem on the site's location services and it has already been fix ed. 20 minutes of nonstop news continues with a dead deer found hanging at a high school football stadium just days before a rivalry game. today police are investigating. the central bucks west and east are set to square off on the gridiron saturday afternoon. >> cydney long is live in doylestown. what's the school saying about this deer that was discovered? >> the school, students, parents and police are definitely not pleased about this prank. police are not laugh iing. they were called to the war e memorial field this morning as the classes were getting underway. the official mascot of central bucks west is a buck. they square off against the patriots on saturday. it's a long standing rivalry. central bucks school district higher ups are saying they will

weather. if they saw this at the beach, don't you think they would be clambering to get here. this is cape may. spectacular. there were people running on the beach. you can see them there. i'm going to run in the water. the water is not too cold. this is in the 60s. the air temperature generally is right around 70 degrees. and right now we're looking at 71 in philadelphia. it's exactly where the rest of us should be. 71 in wilmington, and vineland at 71 degrees. the next six hours, where are we going, we're going to be clear. it should warm us up. 60 degrees by 10:00 tonight. and then after that, we'll tumble into the 50s overnight. then where do we go? it keeps get. ing better and better. tuesday, the day we're expecting to rain isn't half bad at 70 degrees.

looking at the low to mid-70s. maybe even upper 70s by the time we hit sunday and monday. so this is truly a gift and like all good gift, it's going to go away at some point. we have nothing on the doppler radar. we have the dome of high pressure. plenty of warm air is being pulled into. the region up out of the gulf. it's wonderful conditions. turn our winds to the north to northwest by tomorrow night. only knocked us down a couple degrees. we're still going to be warm. you'll wake up tomorrow in the low 50s across much of the krar. out along the beaches, maybe even 60s. and then we're going to make it into the 70s. i think the model is a little shy. we'll make it to 73 tomorrow before the winds turn to the northwest. that's just buzz of a front passing by. it comes through quietly. no rain with this front. we get into saturday, we're looking at the mid-70s and on sunday we're looking at the upper 70s. so tomorrow in fairmont, 73 degrees. enjoy.

campaign trail. he's in north jersey right now. there's a live look stumping for phil murphy. this is inside the canvas kickoff event in newark. as you may recall, this is mr. obama's first time stepping back in the political spotlight since leaving the white house. murphy was his ambassador to germany to 2013. he faces a republican opponent in the november election. some of the other stories we're following county by county at 4:00, we start in burlington county. police are looking for this woman who they believe used a child to steal a cell phone. it happened earlier this month. police say the woman stood watch as the boy unplugged a gold apple iphone on display. then put it in his pocket. a new trail is open along route 291. the trail spans about 3500 feet

toy box, you need to replace them. the toys are being recalled because of a choking hazard. there's been half a dozen reports of the handle detaching from the toy. if you have any of these, contact the companyç kids pref ed for a replacement. almost time to go trick or treating and research shows how parents handle the candy. the "today" show surveyed 1300 parents. here's what they fournd. 27% let their kids eat all that candy. 40% ration it out. another 27% give a little bit and hide the rest. 4% trade for a gift. 2% take it all. all of it. can't have any of it. where's my candy? >> can you imagine? they keep a lot to themselves. >> that's not fair. >> it's not. but if you don't ration it out, imagine the sugar high. >> that would be trouble. >> this weekend kids can get free eye exams.

the north. tomorrow morning you'll wake up and generally going to be in the low to mid-50s across the area. the winds will start to turn west. by the end of the day, they will be more out of the northwest. we'll still make it into the 70s. tomorrow night we'll notch down the temperature a couple degrees when you wake up saturday morning. it's not going to be a big difference. it won't be as warm as it will be tomorrow morning. we rebound. temperatures go right into the 70s. upper 70s by the time we get into sunday. you can follow along anywhere. you can get your neighborhood weather right there at your finger tr fingertips. we're going to be looking at 73 for tomorrow. we should be at 66 this time of year. let's look at how warm we are. almost 10 degrees above average on saturday. certainly more than 10 degrees above average on sunday. clouds move in. that's the eagles game. so we are going to hope that this cold front that comes through holds off until after the game.

in the meantime, part the boardwalk is being torn apart for the facelift. >> tonight ted greenberg digs into the cost. >> reporter: well worn wood ripped up to make way for a new stretch of boardwalk in ocean city. >> it really needed it. there's some bad spots when you're walking. >> reporter: the boardwalk between 10th and 12th streets now closed for the final phase of a mult year reinstruction project that start ed at 5th street replacing the planks and everything underneath. >> this is the first time in decades that we have replaced the entire boardwalk structure. >> i think it's excellent. i'm amazed at the money that must go into renovating all this. >> the the city spent iing $2.9 million on this leg of the project. $10 million overall. >> it's really worth the while that they put the money back into it.
