away from me. i'm okay with what i did because it's not mew >> reporter: from south jersey, cydney long, nbc 10 news. >> the nbc 10 digital team has been detailing the opioid epidemic's deadly hold on local families for two years now. >> you can see our award-winning series now on the nbc 10 app. breaking news right now at 6:00. a child is hurt afterxb this crash happened in camden. george spencer is live for us. what are we learning about the victim? >> reporter: we are just confirming that this bus crash left a boy injured in serious condition. that yellow school bus that you see there hit the child along alabama road here in camdena shortly before 4:00. this entire block has been taped off by camden county police. a significant response, as you can see there. earlier we saw parents who seemed to be picking up children and walking home with them.

that boy who was injured was rushed to kocooper and he is george spencer, nbc 10 news. new video now into nbc 10 of a robbery suspect in uber darby. the suspect is linked to as many as eight robberies since april of this year. the suspect throws a brick through the window before making off with packs of gnu port and marlboro cigarettes. the same is believed to have robbed eight properties, mainly gas stations and delis. one person was flown to the hospital after this car crashed into a new jersey transit bus in cumberland county. it happened an hour ago on west main street in millville. you can see the white sedan was badly damaged. we are working to find out the condition of that person who was injured. in south philadelphia, detectives are questioning people in the killing of these two high schoolers. but there are still no arrests 48 hours after the students were shot dead on the street. aundrea cline-thomas is joining

us live in south philadelphia tonight. got to believe someone saw something that could be the key to an arrest. >> reporter: that's right. that's what the neighborhood really wants. but first, people who know something need to speak up. you have to remember we're talking about two different neighborhoods. lives cross and ended in an instant. the side of a salon on 12th street now doubles as the site of a memorial. fresh flowers and candles mark the spot where two 16-year-olds lost their lives. some friends stopped by to share their condolences. others just stopped in disbelief. >> he was just too young. he was gun. ed down. >> we shouldn't be here for a child 16 years old. >> reporter: hundreds came out to pay respects.

bribery scheme. both pleaded not guilty. with election day less than two weeks away, voting machines are in the spotlight today. lawmakers gather atd the capital for a hearing on the security of the machines. among those testifying was the princeton university professor whose team demonstrated that new jersey's voting machines could be hacked within minutes. voters head to the polls to elect a new governor november 7th. today the philadelphia city council approved a new bill aimed at keeping stun guns out of the hands of minors. the bill prevents anyone under the age of 18 from using, owning or selling a stun gun. stun guns are legal to own in pennsylvania for the purpose of self-defense. up next at 6:00, who killed jfk. a local conspiracy theorist is hoping documents on the assassination set to be released today will prove he's been right

neighborhoods tonight. >> absolutely, we're seeing that clearing. it's almost down to the 40s already in some of the suburbs. and even in delaware into the mid-50s. now that the skies have cleared. as we go through the night tonight, getting close to 40 in philadelphia for a low. 37 in allentown. 38 in mount holly. 39 in trenton. those are the official instrument levels, but at the ground, if you have a calm wind, you can get lower temperatures there. that's where the frost occurs. the rain, boy, did that exit quickly. it just raced out of here and the skies cleared across much of the area. that's where the frost advisories are. the outlying areas away from the i-95 corridor where the heat just keeps in. and this frost is getting later and later in philadelphia. since 19 0 it's occurring 17.5

days later than it was. that's what happens when you warm the planet. you get later frosts, shorter growing season. or longer growing season. you can see the rain down in the caribbean. the tropical system moving right up this way. combining with the front and now look at this. sunday, we're going to get pounded. lots of rain, wind, thunderst m thunderstorms, new england is going to get worse than us. but that's going to occur right in the middle of the weekend. and effect the eagles game. it's just a question of how bad it's going to be. wind, thunderstorms, and it's going to be wet. so be prepared for that. by the time we get to halloween, though, we don't have that kind of issue. it's just going to be kind of chilly. it's going to be dry. we're going to have a sunny day
