school leader's arrest. right now at 11:00, panic at the bus stop. neighbors rush in to help after a school bus hits a young boy. >> the 6-year-old in the hospital tonight is expected to be okay. brandon hudson is outside. what have you learned about this crash. >> reporter: the 6-year-old stepped off of one bus and was walking behind it when he was hit by the other bus. now investigators want to know if the driver was distracted or speeding behind the wheel. cellphone video captured the moments after a school bus driver hit a 6-year-old near the intersection of alabama road near collins in camden. a crowd of workers helping a young boy in crying in pain. she watched the aftermath

unfold. she said she couldn't believe a bus driver hit the child. >> it was terrifying to see him there laying there. he was bleeding from hisforehead. >> reporter: they shutdown part of the road to gather evidence. the boy walked behind that bus when he was hit by the driver of a second school bus. one witness told us this wasn't the first crash of its kind at the intersection. >> my son got hit by a bus down the street over there. >> reporter: nbc 10 learned the school bus belongs to the -- bus company. the big question is what did the driver do moments before hitting the 6-year-old? a mom says she believes the driver was speeding down the narrow road, but police haven't confirmed that. >> my heart goes out to the family. >> reporter: at this time the bus driver which hit the child is not facing any charges. live in camden, i'm brandon

hudson, nbc 10 news. new at 11:00, a firefighter was hurt battling a row house fire. we're told the firefighter is expected to be okay. crews are still working to figure out what started the fire. a dean is under arrest under and now facing statutory tape chargers. an eight grader told police harrison drove her to a hotel in the kin kn township area at the end of last school year and sexually assaulted her inside a room there. police arrested harrison after the alleged victim's mother confronted him. harrison also worked at ta danc school. we were told he's suspended until they learn more. the family of -- miller

huddle together at the playground for this vigil. they were shot and killed tuesday night. sky force 10 was over the scene shortly after that shooting. tonight miller's father told stories about the devastation of learning about his son's death. >> it's just very senseless. it's senseless. it wasn't meant for him. he's a really good kid, all a's and b's. i lost half of myself. >> miller's father says police are close to figuring out who did it, but so far no one is in custody. all right, to your first alert weather now. getting very chilly out there as you look down broad street. >> some people even woke up to frost in their neighborhoods.

who don't live near doctors to get treatment on the phone or online. it also lets states shift around federal money to focus on the opioid epidemic. but it will not unlock new federal funding. that's something congress has to do. we have been following the story of michael cor sell for two weeks now. and it shows just how difficult overcoming this addiction can be. we first met him outside coopers medical hospital just hours after he overdosed on the streets of camden. a week later he was at a rehab center. but we're shown why his road to recovery had a sudden setback. >> reporter: patrice beady tells nbc 10 she recognized him right away from our stories and needed to jump in. by the fence on kensington avenue was michael cor sello. shortly after leaving his rehab facility in fort washington. >> i wouldn't want to be sleeping on it the street, would

there in that piece says she understands the horrors of hair r heroin addiction. the father of her two kids died from an overdose this summer on the streets of kensington. you can see our award winning series generation addicted right now on nbc10.com. in delaware county, busy smash and grab thief caught on camera. the man in this surveillance video was linked to as many eight burglaries since april. in each case he throws a brick through the business before making off with packs and packs of cigarettes. he mainly strikes at delis and gas stations. the driver of this scar was flown to hospital after crashing into the back of a new jersey transit bus. it was just after 4:00 this afternoon. one person on the bus had a minor injury. lawmakers in pennsylvania

are turning to the casino industry to help close the state's budget gap. the house aed a bill that would help expand casino style cambling to truck stops, airports and online. it also calls for gambling at ten new sites. last year the state netted $1.4 billi $1.4 billion in taxes from the casino industry. you can walk for miles on philadelphia street this weekend without having to worry about traffic. but that means many others will have to find another place to park. it'll be closed on saturday from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. but parking restrictions for many streets will be in place starting at noon tomorrow. the philly street event was inspired by the pope's visit three years ago. it's a chance for walkers and cyclists to get out and move without having to worry about cars. you can find a full list of road
