home at the time and police are still trying to locate him. we are live with an update on the investigation. >> reporter: good morning. that person of interest is not in custody. it is the reason that people are waking up this morning extremely on edge. you can see the chalk markings where the bulleted flew and landed here. also, a police presence in this neighborhood all because police want to talk to someone of sbroes that lives inside this home. it was riddled with bullets overnight. neighbors just boarded up the front window of the home. it comes two night after two teenagers were shot to death. miller had just started school this fall at mastery carter.

police confirmed the person of interest lives inside this home but he was not here at the time of the shooting. no one was hurt. it is unclear if the shooter was in a car or on foot. they say it's impairtive parents step in to stop this senseless violence. >> we are concerned about that. it is an effort to safeguard not only the residents of that home fwh but that block as well. the important thing is that the individual or individuals that we need to speak to. >> reporter: now, one neighbor said she heard 14 shots fired this morning.

it startled them and woke up her sleeping baby. the teen boy they want to speak with has been arguing with his parents the last few days but they never anticipated anything like in. we'll keep you up to date on this investigation. nbc 10 news. a driver struck two men as they were pushing a car out of the road. one of the men died at the scene and the other suffered minor injuries. it caused them to shut down a portion of the road while they investigated. so far authorities have not filed any charges in the case. a beautiful day outside after a very chilly start this morning. a live look at the philadelphia museum of art. big changes are coming by the

end of the weekend. glenn "hurricane" schwartz is here with your most accurate forecast. >> a lot of people would tlouf see pictures like this through the weekend. this is in cape may. look how blue that sky is. wilmington delaware just as cool and beautiful. allentown and reading and 34 in lancaster. up to 57 in philadelphia and 50 in wildwood. temperatures will get up to about average today. we have a front headed this way. it will cause problems for later in the weekend. in the meantime nothing but sunshine during the day. temperatures getting into the

mid-60s right around average for this time of the year. not too windy and those southerly winds that we have now, that will warm us up even more during the day tomorrow. those two systems coming together, that's going to mess up sunday. i'll get into details and timing on that in a few minutes. now to detail ns a case out of west philadelphia. police arrested and charged four people in the beating and carjacking of a pizza delivery driver. some of the suspects are teenagers. the driver was beat cen so badl he was in a coma for three days. police are looking for one other person in the attack. police say the victim's

mother -- harrison drove her to the hotel at the end of last school year and sexually assaulted her in a room. the executive director says he is suspended until they learn more and they are praying for the victim and her family. cell phone video shows a crowd of emergency workers clambering to help a six-year-old boy after a school bus slammed into him yesterday afternoon. we talked to a witness who says even though the little boy should be okay the scene was still hard to standby and watch. >> we were terrified. >> if you look closely at this video you can see a woman comforting the boy. police say the boy got off of his bus and was walking behind it when a second school bus hit him. people cannot comprehend how the

bus driver didn't see the boy in the street. they say the situation isn't new for their community. >> i'm not for sure. >> my son got hit by a bus down the street over there and then another kid got hit over here at the same time. they said that the bus driver was texting and driving. >> police haven't charged the driver in this case. we tried several times but couldn't reach anyone for comment. as for the little boy doctors treated him for serious but not life threatening injuries. the plan to fund pennsylvania's budget is now in the hands of governor tom wolf. they approved the plan. the senate passed it the day before. it would bring gambling to truck stops and airports and make it

vailable online. it would allow ten new mi mini casino sites. time is now 11:08. here is jessica boyington. >> we are having an easy friday moving through center city. our camera is right around 8th street. both directions are moving along nicely. rest of the drive times look great. a touch slow but speeds are in the 40s in both dpreirections there. we are dealing with 15 minute delays as route 15 eastbound trolley but amtrak and new jersey transit are on time.

the opioid crisis is now an emergency. that kind of declaration would have allowed to tap into disaster relief funds to combat widespread opioid addiction. it does accomplish some things.

it will makt easier for people that don't live near doctors to live get help over a computer. it lates states focus on the opioid epidemic. it will not unlock new federal funding. that is something congress has to do. his attorney general spoke about the effort to combat the opioid crisis. he said we are facing the deadliest drug crisis in american history. >> i have never seen anything like this. i started in the 70s as a young prosecutor prosecuting heroin cases. >> sessions said more americans died of drug overdoses last year than died from aids at the peak of that e7 demic and more of them died in car crashes. customs enforcement also known as ice held a meeting. leaders met with members of

homeland security in the cyber krooib crimes unit. they talked about ways to help reduce opioid and fentanyl across the country. david will tour the coats vil va center where he will highlight the approach to treating opioid addiction. after a long day of anticipation the national archives 3,000 censored records there the assassination of president kennedy. he blocked the release of other records because of fbi concerns about national security. a law required all government records -- in the delay of getting the material out. >> we have heard about chaos on this issue for the last couple

of weeks with agencies going to the president to appeal. i will say that the government has had 25 years to prepare for this release. you to believe it should have been handled in a more orderly fashion. >> the yfk conspiracy theorists, we talked to one of them, an 89-year-old lawyer who believes lee harvey oswald did not act alone. >> i didn't rely on my own intuitio intuitions. i did not rely on my own investigation. i invit vest gaited the case from the beginning. i relied on their documents. nobody outside of the united states believed oswald killed the president alone. >> it is now under a six month review. happening today tiger woods expected to plead guilty to

reckless driviing charges. police initially charged woods with dui after he was found unconscious in his parked car in florida. it showed woods had the active ingredient for marijuana, two painkillers and an anti-anxiety drug in his system. beautiful day to end the week. it was chilly to start. it is 57 degrees, especially not very much wind. everybody has sunshine, that is for sure. the temperature at the airport the 57. it is 59 and 59 in clarkwood. chestnut hill a cool spot in philadelphia at 54 degrees. we have nothing on radar or the satellite and no clouds in the

sky. we have a combination of systems. you can see this front very clearly in the middle of the country and you can see this moisture down here very clearly. in between it's really nice and dry, but this is a tropical disturbance has a chance of developing into a storm. this particular picture shows this coming up through the bahamas now. as we go through saturday this is dry air. this is the moisture. it is coming all the way up from tropics starting to get in at 6:00 a.m. sunday. the rest of the day it's just getting wetter and wetter. this is a plume of tropical moisture and we are going to get that combined with the cold front that's coming through. on saturday we are dry.

there is the tropical moisture, the low pressure center. early sunday perhaps we start off dry but it's not going to stay that way as this system comes right up the coast, combines with that front and strengthens into a pretty big storm. there may be more rain and wind at shore than in other parts of our area. it does look like it is going toefect us and going to produce rain and likely some wind. as for the eagles game the southerly winds shifting in perhaps before the game is over and then we have got periods of rain with possible thunderstorms. that despends on the track of the low. if it is a little bit east we won't get the thunderstorms. it is just rain gear, just a question of how bad the rain is

going to be sit a chilly night. temperatures dropping through the 350s. 6:00 it is already down to 55. by 7:00 down to 51 degrees. that is cool for this time of the year. we haven't been used to the cool weather. it has been a warm october. when you have the choice of two days saturday is the day. temperatures are above normal. dry weather and sunday periods of rain and thunderstorms. happening right now a huge protest. if we can get that up there, a huge protest. thousands and thousands underway in barcelona. you're looking live right now. it is happening at the regional parliment declared independence from spain. we'll continue to monitor this

record to do it simultaneously. it is more complicated than you think. they have strict rules about how long you have to do it and where you can and can't stand. we are excited to do it. we are raising money for families that are still trying to recover. >> yes. life really isn't back to normal for some of those folks. >> yeah. you still see families that are working hard to get back home. many have to elevate their homes. it is a very expensive and long process for so many. whatever we can do to keep focus on families trying to get back home and then of course it is also -- while we were planning this we had three additional hurricanes across the country. we decided to broaden our scope and raise some money to support

the search for killer takes another turn. early this morning someone shot into the home of a person shot in connection with the murders. we are following the developments from south philly. you just learned new information. >> reporter: i did. i just hung up request an attorney that police are interested in speaking to about the case of two teenagers who

were murdered on tuesday night and about the gunfire that erupted on his street. you can see the police presence out here. that person's home was riddled with gunfire. he was not home at the time but his parents were. residents who live on this normally quiet street were frightened overnight and remain concerned until some one is in custody. we are not revealing the exact but neighbors boarded it up a short time ago. the gunfire comes after teenagers were shot and killed tuesday night. it happened following some type of argument. sal who was 16 years old and a junior who played hockey along with miller who had just started school this fall at mastery charter school. police confirmed they lived in this home where the gunfire erupted here. no one was hurt. neighbors are speaking out about the senseless and scary chain of

events. >> you know, it's really scary. there are a ton of little kids. i have an 18 month old baby. i'm sure you spoke to neighbors that have small children. it's scary. it's really like -- i think we all feel really shaken. >> now, another neighbor said they heard the rapid fire of bullets about 1:30 this morning. police cars had been here earlier in the night. once shots rang out it took minutes for police officers to arrive. they went inside this home just about a half an hour achlgt go. it doesn't appear any warrant is being carried out. as soon as we learn any new information from police we will bring it to you. i'm sidney long, nbc 10 news. turning into a great fall day across our area.

backside of that but that front is bringing moisture. it will take a little while for the moisture to get here. i think tomorrow is still pretty good and today is just spectacular into the mid-60s. mostly clear skies and tonight not as chilly as last night was. we started off the day tomorrow more in the 40s than in the 30s. we'll time out that rainfall over the weekend and see when the worst is going to be and where that's likely to be the worst coming up. we continue to follow breaking news where a huge crowd has gathered. this is a live look right now. there are celebrations and protests as the region's lawmakers voted today to set up an independent state from spain. you can see thousands and thousands of people there. it triggered a dramatic

a beautiful looking day after a chilly start. it is 57 in philadelphia. we are rising through the 50s else where. everybody has sunshine including at the shore. the ocean temperature 53 which is well above average for this time of the year. that means the shore temperatures will be above average. avalon 61. it will be some nasty weather at the shore on sunday because of this storm that's coming. we don't have any storms around close by, that's for sure. we do have a line of showers in the midwest with a cold front that will combine with this tropical moisture down in the caribbean. that's a lot of tropical moisture. tropical disturbance or tropical depression could develop there. whether it does or not this is the moisture map. these bright colors are the

greatest amount of moisture. the purples, that is dry air. that's what we have got over us on saturday. here comes that tropical moisture. this is known technically as an atmospheric river. it is coming right up at us on sunday. now, the worst of this will be up in new england. the worst of it will be at some of the shore points. here it is. there's the low pressure center. it is coming up combining with the front. we are dry perhaps first thing sunday. it fills in. it is going to rain. some of it likely on the heavy side but especially towards the shore. thunderstorms would be more likely as well. then new england gets hit the worst. this front comes through and monday becomes really really windy around here. so sunday could be windy at

times but definitely rainy at times. temperatures into the low 60s. definitely need some rain gear for that game. it is just a question of how bad it is going to be. now, by sunday morning there's hardly anything in the rain gauge. again, we could use some rain but not necessarily on the weekend. watch what happens during the day sunday and into monday morning this is one and a half to 2 inches of rachbin. some places over 2 inches of rain. it's going to be a pretty wet sunday and sunday night. it will not be wet on halloween. it will be partly sunny during the day. it will be chilly, colder than normal temperatures. as we go through 6:00 and 7:00 the temperatures dropping pretty quickly down to 51 degrees at 7:00. so again, you'll have to dress the kids warm for november

weather than october. saturday is looking great. temperatures above average. sunday is looking not so great. rain, posz thunderstorms, best chance of thunderstorms towards the shore. best chance of heaviest rain is north and west of philadelphia.
